  1. Biggest game in some time in the EIAC and there is no chatter at all, very disappointing. I'll start this snow ball off and see what we can get. Week 1 EIAC Matchups: Batesville vs Indian Creek: Not sure what the Dogs have coming back, know that their QB is pretty stout. Can't say much either about the Braves? I'll give it to Batesville this week since they're home. Greensburg vs Shelbyville: The Golden Bears have a new captain but I think that hole is a little to big to dig out of in week one. I'll take the Pirates big over the Golden Bears. Rushville @ Milan: Another new coach taking over in the EIAC. Word has it that the Wigwam will not be rocking to much this season. I'll take the newly charged Lions. Connersville @ Richmond: Didn't get a chance to play one another last year, I believe because of COVID? I'll just play hometown favorites here like I did with Batesville, Spartans in a close one. Franklin County @ New Castle: The Wildcats lost a bunch but I believe have a good crew coming back. I look to see them have a repeat winning season. Wildcats bring this one home. South Dearborn vs Seymour: I think it depends on what offense Coach Ballart and Homie da Clown decide to run this week. If it's Double Wing I'll give it to them, if not Owls win. East Central @ Lawrenceburg: And the one we've all been waiting for. We get the biggest game of the season in this conference right out of the gate. Is this the year the Tigers can finally do it? I know if you ask the Stink Town Crew they think so, question is not if but by how much! That being said it won't be an easy task. I'm of the belief that you need to show me before I can really believe it. I'm taking the Trojans in a close one. Hopefully this time though the Trojans won't rush the field when they pull it off.
  2. Comparing conferences is not the same as comparing teams. Top to bottom as a conference yeah the PAC is more balanced and competitive. But saying EC would be 6-3? Anyone will tell you EC is a different kind of monster. When you play a team that legitimately has 22 starting players and no one they're trying to hide, coupled with the fact that they're going to pound on you the entire game. EIAC teams have to try and keep it close and hope they can hold on at the end. Hype up your Patriots and talk smack to Lawrenceburg. EC has only lost 6 conference games in the past 20 years, if they played in the PAC you'd see a similar outcome. Making comments like that is where you lose credibility, so in your own words
  3. P74, love the passion for your Patriots. I think both teams are in for a battle this Saturday. The Bone is no joke, gave EC fits when Hondaburg ran it. But this comment right here
  4. George Custer didn't win the battle, but he did kill a few Sioux.
  5. Success? By the end of year four running the Spread Batesville will have won 0 Sectionals and 1 Small School Conference Championship. I guess we have different interpretations of success. The other part of that story is Batesville ended up scoring 9 points. If you score less than 10 points in modern football with your modern offense I wouldn't say it's all scheme, but scheme probably has a little to do with it. Well played sir, well played.
  6. Went to watch the nephew play Lawrenceburg last Saturday, went up early to see the other EIAC teams. They're spread but they ran over Rushville. No Dudley's but they have some solid guys. To East Central? No.
  7. Delta at Shelbyville final score 85-0. Any chance Bobby Cox and the powers that be take a look at revamping or revoking (sarcasm) the Mercy Rule after year one.
  8. I may not be a smart man, but I do know that you can't go from 3rd and 3 to 2 and 10. Glad my alma mater won but the sequence before the second blocked Field Goal the zebra crew was lost.
  9. Great opportunity this weekend to literally watch every EIAC team and yes that is true. Lucky I got to the game early Friday or else I don't think I would have found a seat. Had an entire section to myself on Saturday. But that's not surprising, East Central/Harrison crowd will always out number the others schools playing each other.
  10. I wouldn't say it's a "ridiculous" argument. There is a reason why most states classify teams by enrollment. There was a big difference last Friday between the numbers on each sideline. Teams with larger enrollments have a higher percentage of finding more talented players and more reliable backups. Also I would say that East Central is probably the only team in the EIAC that has the ability to have 22 different starters.
  11. Went to watch the big game last Friday. Man was it a spectacle, Lawrenceburg had a mini College Gameday atmosphere. Was a little surprised by the game overall. Looked to me like East Central didn't take Lawrenceburg too seriously. Hope it was a wake up call for those kids, next couple of weeks won't be a cake walk either.
