If that is the case with EC...I like NW's odds of slowing that run game down.

All have tried...none have succeeded. By Q3 the opposing "D" can no longer keep up....and if the Panthers have 2-way players, then the fatigue (physical and mental) issue is magnified.

And as stated by my fellow south-eastern supporters, EC has a "nail in the coffin" passing game. Burton is a very accurate QB and has the gun to go deep.  Brotherton, Ringer, Helms, Bleh, Genetti and Wheat can all stretch and break the best of secondaries.  If EC hadn't clocked almost every opponent by Q3....relatively speaking, the passing numbers would be just as impressive as the rushing numbers.

With that said, the Panthers did not luck into State, they beat some very good teams to get there. Tuggle and Edmond will be a problem for the Trojans, Roeder will also pose a challenge depending on the game plan. NW coaches and staff are top notch game strategizers....they will have the Panthers ready.

IMO this game will be close early on....but the Trojans will prove to be too much for the Panthers in the 2nd half. I've been wrong about this twice this year (Memorial & NP) where I thought it would be a close contest and EC just rolled, so nothing surprises me with this team.

Good luck to both teams, looking forward to watching this one!

    Go....Trojans!

  2. This one had destiny in the story line since 10/8.

bAd bOyZ have their work cut out for them this week.  Glad it's a home game, glad EC is healthy (as possible for mid Nov), and so looking forward to watching EC host the Dragons and make another instant classic semi-state battle.

I’ve got a Skyline itch that needs scratched. Another draw besides the football in St. Leon.

My Old Man owned several school bus routes in Franklin County. That’s how he, quite literally, smuggled me into the big elementary school in Brookville.  His declaration was that there was no damn way he would allow me to “sit my little @ss” on the wooden outhouse in our hometown/village/refugee camp of Metamora elementary school.  That’s why I only stop at Buc-ees when traveling south to this very day.

That said, there were certain homes on those Franklin County gravel roads you stayed WELL outside of shotgun range when picking up kids.

Another call may be happening as well based on what I’m hearing….

Well hello Lysander, my old friend.... great to hear from you!

    That's some good stuff....Metamora elementary....😄

Hope all is well and you're enjoying your Trojans season as much as I'm enjoying mine.

You couldn't be more spot on with your earlier post about SEI....but you will not hear anyone from the EIAC complain, we're happy to stay under the radar.

EC will be rebuilding next season, so assuming they move to 5A.....they will likely take some lumps in the post season.

EC will mulch Greenwood up front, where the action is decided. Also, Trojans have more quickness.

I've watched a couple of Greenwoody games from IHSAA replay....they have a good passing attack that will certainly challenge the Trojans "D", and I'm sure they reviewed what Mville did successfully so EC should expect the same.

I believe the game will be close in the first half with both teams trading big play house calls, but the bAd bOyZ do a great job of h-time adjustments and should pull away in the 2nd half.

Woody don't have an axe big enough to cut down the ReDwood & BlacK attack.

I have a 77" OLED 4k monitor. I saw nothing that indicates that the receiver lost control. I will admit that the video isn't super clear, I can't tell you he wasn't losing control, but I don't see any evidence he was either.

The kneel down wasn't even controversial so I didn't mention it. Just wrong. There is no excuse either since I believe there is a horn.

TL2 the kneel down was why K and the staff went berserk at the end of the game....They believed they should have gotten one more play.

As far as where the ball was caught, lets wait to see if BR gets to view the tapes....I didn't use a 75" OLED 4K monitor rather my 27" simple pc monitor and slowed the video down to 1/4 speed and IMO he bobbled the ball at impact.

Bad Boyz keep getting it done. Onto sectional final. Nice running attack last night. Ringer as advertised!! 7 td's wow. Over 300 yards rushing. My vote for Mr football. One of the best players in indiana on one of the best teams in indiana!! Good luck next week, keep it rolling!!!!

looking forward to this weekends home game and a possible sectional 23 championship. EC matches up real well across the board with green-woody, and though they had some wins against some pretty good teams this year, them bAd bOyZ are focused, determined and should be able to repeat their dominant ways.

    EC wins by 35+

Hats off to the Artesians for a great gplan and great execution last friday....them trick plays and quick passes had our D on their heels in the 1st half.  Kudos to coach Dugger and his staff....i watched his interview on MHS rewind earlier in the week and he was able to have his squad execute most of what he said they needed to do to keep the game close and have a chance.  In the end they just didn't have enough in the well (sorry for the pun) to keep up.

  8. In real-time this play looks to be a catch and first down at the 15.  But when you slow it down and look closely, the receiver lost control of the ball at impact and didn't re-gain control until the 16-17 yardline.  The official's judgement was a catch on the 17.... see still frames below.

I know this doesn't make my friends in Lburg happy, but it truly was the right call.

Now the ending of this game....maybe a whole different story. Not sure what the HS rules are for the clock stoppage at change of possessions. QB knelt on 4th down with 1.7 on the clock, but officials called game over.  Should the other team get one play with at 1-sec on the clock?

I was watching the video stream. I had to rewind several times because I didn't understand what was happening and questioned whether I just saw what I thought I saw.

    No comment...on above.

I watched the replay today and you have to admit...the dogs we're more physical and made plays when they needed them most. I know the Lburg crew doesn't want to hear that right now, but IMO that was the case.
