Didn’t Knox thump you last week 35-7?  Glenn and Washington would both finish in the bottom half of the HNAC!  Physical, ha!

I like it. Finally someone who gives it back a little. Maybe we can get some excitement back into this forum lol. Seems to have been pacified for quite some time. But I don't know about that.

Sound awfully cocky for it being only win 2!  Don’t worry, you’ll get KNOCKED back to reality next Friday!

just replying back to the "HOW". If you don't like it oh well no apologies here. We played a hell of a physical game. Ok if you say so. Another hater that can't give a young team some credit.

You've done a lot of bashing to a team/school that has done zero talking about the game. Heck, I don't even know if they have any fans on here besides Coach H.

Anyways, should be a good game and we'll see how it goes tonight. Hope all teams stay injury free!

A little healthy banter and debating. No where near the bashing you read in be HNAC thread. NIC thread has gone soft. Lol

I'm sure jimtown fans were saying same thing last year until Knox went there and beat them in sectionals.

A decade ago maybe. Jimtown isn't the same it was in years past and it was 21-14 pretty fairly matched for two schools with equal enrollment. But what happened the following week 31-6 against Marian.

Think you are definitely underestimating how good this years Knox team is.  Good defense and offense has put up some good numbers.   But their early schedule has definitely benefited them.

I never underestimate anyone. I just call it as I see it. I'm sure Knox is a much improved team but you remove them and put another 580-600 enrollment school in their place and the results will be similar in every sport. Let them join the NIC and they would be heading into sectionals 2-7/3-6 (maybe 1 conference win).

Being a Glenn fan, you know what kind of program that was. They are better off now with him at the helm.  Hope your Falcolns make me eat crow.

Never said they weren't better off with him. I just stated that in that conference Knox should be dominate. A 2 loss season in that conference is a terrible season in my opinion for Knox. Unless they are playing a recruiting private school with 200 students. Knox should handle the majority of their conference.

I didn't think Bremen would win easily.

Hmmm, I don't feel like going back in the threads. But I'll take your word on it. Could of meshed you by accident with all the other haters lol. But Knox's Coach should be 35-15 in that conference with enrollment st 580ish? Other schools 200-300?

LaVille...by as many as Coach H wants.

Ill go Culver 42. Triton 20. I think itll be close for 3 Q but Culver wears down the trojans.

As for Winamac/North Judson. I don't really have a clue. As of this past Sat.. Winamac played the 2nd toughest 1a schedule according to sagarin SOS...which will go down as they get farther into the season.

North Judson lost to NN and Knox two tough teams...and beat Culver after Culver had 4+ turnovers.

NJ is young on the OL/DL. North Judson has some senior skilled guys but most are new to the offensive side this year. Lambert will have his boys ready to go.

Winamac's played decent for 3 Q against LaVille. I liked some of the things the Warriors did against the Lancers and what they did early against Pioneer.

I think the Warriors will put 4 Q together and escape liberty field with a win. 22-20.

    Knox by 28 good one.....

I don't think those wins are anything to scoff at.  I think they have a better team, better coach, and better program.  Coach Hendryx is 35-15 at Knox. He has the numbers improving. They maybe a bit overmatched in a 3a sectional but if there enrollment was 2a, that would be sectional contenders a lot of years.

You also thought Bremen would handle Glenn easily and Glenn who is also Sophmore dominated. Took It to Bremen.

Who has Knox played? No offense to the teams in the HNAC but Knox is double in size then most of those schools.  Culver? They have a bunch of Earth movers but absolutely no skill guys. Put it in the air and Culver is out matched from the opening kickoff. Winamac? They have like 20 kids in the entire program. Rochester? If #7 Played the first half of the game it would of been a completely different outcome and North Judson? Come on......Knox is benefiting from playing in an overall weak conference. Glenn has played played 3 top ranked teams in Boone Grove 4-0, Marian 4-0 and Jimtown who unfortunately had tough matchups the first few weeks.  If Glenn gets the offense rolling Glenn takes this one 28-14. I'll agree on your other predictions but Bremen/Clay will be low scoring. Clays speed sends Bremens QB scrambling all night.

This is not the same Knox from the NSC days. Coach Hendrix is building a program. I am going with Knox in this one.

Could very well be. But I don't think any head coach goes into a program just to coach for 3 months. Knox won't be able to have their way with Glenn in the air like they did with the teams they've faced. Look for Glenn to clamp the passing game and force Knox to be one dimensional. Glenn will have to get things going with their ground game early.

  12. Alright Indian. How did I miss the new thread!!!

    Central takes this one easy

Glenn over Knox...who has Knox played Winamac/North Judson and Rochester...Lets keep it in the NIC...

Marian focuses on Jimtowns one dimensional offense and takes it 49-7

NP over Mishawaka NP by 3 scores

Penn over Adams. Adams has no D and Penn has no Offense.

CLAY keeps this one tight. Who am I Kidding. Bremen 28 Clay 7

Riley over Washington. Washingtons pass defense is sketchy and full of holes. Washington finally faces a team with a decent defensive line and line backer core. Look for the cats not to be caught napping on another 70 plus yard screen play.

    Let the banter begin.....

    Few thoughts on past weekend.

Marian has athletes - they could run far with this team if they stay healthy and play well

NP line is huge - Some athletes in the backfield as well - have not looked at 4A north but they too could go down state.  Nice to see them throwing the ball as well opens up the run.  They can score.  The 6'7 soph is going to be a beast in 2 years if he works at it.  Nice to see SJ offense doing things against NP.  They did it without John Driscoll and had several longer pass plays.  I would say that may be the weakness of NP after seeing them in one game

See the SB paper did not have the Penn game stats again this weekend just like last weekend.  They played 2 major powers from out of state.  Much different then playing St Mary's and Br. Rice.

    Mishawaka seems to be reloading.

Marian sure does have some athletes. Wasn't #2 on Bremens state run team last year and a lineman? Think they have another transfer or two as well. Must love them private school fees.

NP is always weak on passing defense.

Mishawaka is good but Adams defense is just that bad. They only kept Riley under 25 because Rileys offense is sub-par. Senator was Marians best player. Throwing 5 picks for 3 TDs. Told you Marian would pluck them out of the air. 😌.

I can't tell if Clay actually played Washington tuff in the first half only allowing 20 or Washington is that bad. Wash had them 47-0 at half last year. And Washington scored their remainder 20 in the 4th.  Seems like the refs had the feels for clay allowing that passing TD to stand when both receivers on right side were still getting set when QB threw the ball. And yes Washington is 3-1 but have played a Weak Hammond, KV and Clay who lacks fundamental work.

Glenn seemed to struggle on the offensive side. They'll have to focus on ball security this week. Any news on Glenns running back who got hurt in Bremen game?  Defense seemed to be playing well. Glenn held them to 14-0 at half and recovered a fumble at the start of the second half. Jimtown struggled to throw the ball on Glenn's D all night. They better clean that up if they expect to compete.

Oh how the Mighty Penn has fallen. Only winning program in the Granger/Oseola/Baugo area are the Osceola Grace Eagles who whalloped a terrible Gary Roosevelt on Saturday.

I see Bremen got their first win. Nice to see them bounce back this week.

come on Indian start up the week 5 thread 🤣

So it appears Marian is for real, ,they made Riley look real bad. They now look like a serious contender to do big things and a undefeated regular season is within reach for them in a weakened South side of conference.

Now question is was Riley a real team or had they not played anyone? Was this more about the emotions around everything hurting their play or they weren’t the team the paper made them out to be? We shall see as this season goes on.

Been saying it all week Marian was the real deal. Riley is just average. They have a few players but that's about it.  Adams? Is there a job vacancy about  to come open. The way their coach was bragging on tv after their scrimmage you would of thought the were a legit contender.

That's a generous 14 your giving the Cats on Marian. I personally think the Washington game will be closer then most think. Wash only put 22 on a JV Hammond team. I think Clays win last week gives the kids a much need confidence boost and this game becomes a grudge match. What do I know though lol. No love for Glenn after the thrashing they gave y'all last week? Lol

Not totally sure of the comments.  I think last year's team was an under achiever.  Too many players going both ways hurts with the schedule we play which he current staff seems to like.  This year seems a lack of discipline, leadership, and respect seems to be another issue.  Lot of new faces on the coaching staff.  There are many things but in 4 years the record is now glowing.

It's a culture issue and it starts with the head coach. He's got to set the tone from day 1 or he'll continue to have players costing them games or parents coming down and trying to confront the refs like last year. As for Johnny U maybe he should coach up the players he has. Learn to win with what you have. There wasn't superior talent at ST joe they just took what the defense gave you. Even back when Matthews and Aresenault were playing. They would eat you up with slants and deep outs.
