Indiansreloaded Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 Alexandria at Mississinewa--This game is one that has been marked on both schools schedule as a must win to stay in the race for the CIC crown. It is Mississinewa's Homecoming and a radio announcer this past week said that when he was in high school and came to Gas City for a Mississinewa's homecoming game he knew that they had a slim chance of winning because of how the entire city gets into homecoming. This is the conference game of the week. Mississinewa has yet to allow a point to be scored and has had a running clock every game this season. This game the Mississinewa defense will have to prepared and show up to defend the pass. In the end Mississinewa rolls to another W with another running clock against a very good Alexandria team. Blackford at Eastbrook--Eastbrook may be down this year but don't count them out of making a run at the CIC crown. Blackford is in usual territory as they have 2 wins on the season already. Blackford is finding some success this year but they still don't have enough to hold off Eastbrook. Eastbrook rolls and wins big in this one. Frankton at Oak Hill--Eagles will win this one but which one? Oak Hill has had a rough start to the CIC season running into Mississinewa and Madison-Grant. Frankton thought they had something going this year but have yet to get a W. Oak Hill came into the season receiving votes in the rankings and was still getting votes until the CIC season started. Oak Hill rights the ship this week and gets back on track in the conference and wins big over Frankton. Madison-Grant at Elwood--Can there be a running clock after the 1st quarter? Unfortunately, the rules state the score difference has to be 35 at the half or later before the running clock goes into effect. MG plays the freshman most of the second half in this one as they roll to a big win. 1 Quote

irishuncle411 Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Alex at Miss - Mississinewa by as much as they want. It'll be a running clock at some point....but not first series of second half. How good is Mississinewa? Legit top 5 in 3A? Blackford at Eastbrook - Eastbrook...running clock at half time. Frankton at Oak Hill - Might be best game of the night, but Oak Hill by 21...having two easy games to start the year makes the difference, they are still hungry for one. Frankton starting 0-4 makes them quit early...tough to keep kids bought in once adversity hits. They'll finish 2-7 and hope for a good sectional draw. Might need to drop either Eastern Hancock or Lapel to get one more win on the schedule. Mad Grant at Elwood - Argylls....running clock at half time. Quote

They lost their QB, 1 WR, 1 OL, and a couple off the defense from last years 4A team. They returned 3 linebackers, 2 RB, bulk of OL, and bulk of the defense. Coach Buresch has said "I will put my linebackers Ott, Anthony Monday, and McVicker up against anybody in the State, they are that good." Ott is a 4 year starter at LB, Monday and McVicker are 3 year starters at LB. The QB attended Manning Passing camp this summer and has completed around 60% of his passes. The primary RB's are Junior's and were primary RB's last year. They run hard and don't stop. If you haven't seen them play, it would be worth a trip to watch them. 9 hours ago, irishuncle411 said: Frankton at Oak Hill - Might be best game of the night, but Oak Hill by 21...having two easy games to start the year makes the difference, they are still hungry for one. Dropping Eastern Hancock is definitely a possibility. Quote

It was 28-0 after the first, 50-0 at the half, and final was 57-0. Mississinewa played the JV and Freshman offense the 2nd half. They played starting defense 2nd half because Alex played starting offense. Mississinewa had 5 interceptions. 1 Quote
