The solution isn't necessarily eliminating the 3 point stance. But kids don't need to be playing tackle football as young as pop warner allows or encourages. USA Football introduced a great model the Northern Indiana Youth Football League uses for 8U called Rookie Tackle. I think 10U, or even 12U, is where kids ought to begin playing tackle football as we know it.
