But we must never forget what happens when a government turns on its own citizens. Yes, there have been other instances. This one hit close to home. Many of my friends from St. Ed’s went to Kent State, and were there that day. The sight of American soldiers carrying M-1 rifles loaded with live ammo and fixed bayonets confronting college protestors on a college campus still turns my stomach ... 51 years later.
