I'm all for 6 or 7 man crew if possible.. Heck I would be for having an additional one on the sideline incase the coaching staff has a question. I'm all for looking at every aspect of champion weekend and seeing where things can be done better.

Admittedly I only watched the EC game this past weekend. That being said, if the big topic in the 4a game is 1 call didn't the officials do an adequate job?

East Central fans are no more vocal than any other small town football fans. We're they more vocal on Saturday? Probably. Fans usually are more vocal when you're trying to make school history. I would also say the young man from Northwood who kept taunting the sidelines probably fanned that flame a little bit more. I thought Northwood came out on fire with emotions running high and those emotions tired them out a little quicker than normal. Playing against East Centrals multi set offense is mentally demanding on the defense. East Centrals linebackers shutting down the QB running game was a big difference IMO. I know there was some talk from some that Northwood would be able to slow down East Centrals running game. When you watch this offense on film it may seem like you potentially can. However, once you face it in a game you quickly realize how tough it is to slow Ringer, Brother, Maxwell, Minges and Burton down. IMO Northwood pushed EC more than the score indicates. Congrats on a hell of a year. One last thing on EC.. This team scored 740 points and only allowed 97.. That's something that we may never see again at EC.

Lol challenge themselves? They're under contract with Moeller(d1 ohio) Harrison(d2 ohio) and Roncalli.. Moeller lost in semi state, Harrison lost in regional and Roncalli was down this year. Their conference schedule is what it is and that won't change.

Moeller: top 5 division 1 Ohio 2 Top 10 3a teams: Lawrenceburg/Batesville Harrison OH: 9-4 record. Outscored opponents 740 to 98 If running clock rule was allowed in state finals they would have put a running clock on every indiana team they played. What would they do against a 6a schedule? Anyone's guess. All I know is they dominated every team on their schedule.

I have heard the same on likely playing LB. I do wonder if they will have 2nd thoughts and put some plays in for him at RB

Simply provided another factor into what someone said about top 5 teams. Now talking about respect for opponents. East Central could have beaten some of their opponents by 60+ but pulled all starters at halftime.

I think a big question will be can Northwood force EC to 3rd and long situations. Not many teams have been able to force them to consistent 3rd and 5+ to force obvious passing downs. Ringer is averaging 10.7ypc, Maxwell 15.9

EC can run the spread offense and throw it around when they need to. Brotherton(#20) plays all over the field and is going to Western Michigan as a wide receiver. That being said EC is a run 1st team and will try to run it until the opponent stops them. The only team that's held them less than 7yds a carry is Batesville and EC threw it for 241yds and 3tds. Every team that EC plays knows that they will run the ball. New Pal committed 9 to 10 guys in the box most of the night and still gave up 479yds. The rushing stats would probably be even more impressive but the starters were pulled at halftime or early 3rd quarter in most of their games due to the running clock.

They started the year in more of a spread but as it got later in the year they've gone split back. Friday night was all wing t with Brotherton split out wide. They ran for 479yds against New Pal with only attempts 1 pass.

EC beats Moeller and people say Moeller wasn't trying. Everyone praises New Pal and EC puts a running clock on them and now they're nobody. Harrison(OH) wins 9 games and loses in regional semis and they're no good EC running clocks 2 3a top team teams and now they're no good. The mental gymnastics that some of you try to do is hilarious. Give me EC and the points. Theresa not a team in Indiana 2 scores better than them.

EC has played 12 Indiana teams and put a running clock on all 12. They have the number 1 scoring offense in the state and top 3 defense. If this years team doesn't deserve number 1 overall then no team outside of 6a indy schools ever will.

Last thing I'll say on this.. EC would love to be able to schedule tougher competition. They do their best by scheduling tough non conference. Moeller has now renewed the game against EC for another 2 years. If that game didn't matter then why did they do that? Good luck to all teams tonight!

Moeller ran the ball 24 times.. Marshall had 15 carries... Marshall led the team in touches for the game... Marshall had 19 carries against Ben Davis.. Did that game not matter?? Just admit that you don't want to give EC credit for dominating a top 5 d1 team from Ohio.
