Essentially accusing the school of not being committed to football or him. (Allegedly) the school would not host any pep rally for the team during the 2024 season after the one they had scheduled got rained out. Even when they made it to the sectional championship. Then (allegedly) the school was not trying to find a position in the school for him to work. He was struggling financially because of this.

Pap resigned. I would rank the jobs as Silver Creek Paoli Salem Mitchell Madison. I just read what the former Madison coach had to say on Facebook, if even remotely true, yikes. Mitchell and Salem are closer imo than most would say.

5 current HC openings between the 2 conferences Paoli, Mitchell, Salem, Silver Creek, and now Madison. Tons of openings on this southern part of the state including some HHC teams. Is this one of the largest years of change for the area?

I got to go to the game today. Both defenses were amazing! Brownstown’s #31 really stood out defensively. First time Brownstown had not scored a point in a game since 1997!! Super proud of how they represented the MSC!

Brownstown Valley Martinsville Scottsburg Gibson Southern North Decatur Paoli could make it a game if they are able to throw the ball around. I hope Valley can get over the Pioneer hump this time around!

Some long drives on here, how far is too far? I wouldn’t count on Edinburgh either. I am sure they are looking for a different week 4 team. I’m not sure what other schools contracts look like, but I would think Eastern would try to add Crawford back on their schedule as well as Mitchell. Being a smaller, struggling program this far south definitely makes it harder to schedule competitive games closer to home.

WW has a long drive to Knightstown, but I think their passing game will travel just fine.

Well, after what JQWL has said, I guess it’s just what I think. I’m not sure how it would benefit Salem to withdraw themselves from these competitions.

That would be a terrible decision as the program stands. Both games were competitive with the other county schools. I would understand dropping Eastern if we were year in and year out world beaters, but I would never be the one to pull out of these rivalries.

They play varsity basketball boys and girls the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving. JV football was hit or miss. Some coaches didn’t love having that game the Monday of sectional week, so in the years where a certain team had a good JV and thought they could beat the other, they would play on Saturday after varsity game. The JV teams did play against each other the year the varsity game was cancelled due to Covid. I’m not sure if they have had a JV game since. I would be shocked, disappointed, and a little upset if this series were ever to stop.

Salem loses to WW 21-14. Salem had a lot of penalties and WW made it hard for Salem to run the ball all night.

MSC Tourney Breakdown Brownstown - doesn’t matter who they draw or where they play, easily winning sectional 40. Salem - Got the best draw possible. If they take care of business they will make the championship game. Scottsburg - Feels like a good draw, should see them in the championship vs Indian Creek. I like their chances. Corydon vs NH - Big Cat Classic pt. 2, this is a toss up. Either way, I will take Scottsburg round 2. Silver Creek vs Charlestown - Battle of 403 pt. 2 - I would expect a similar result from the first time they played. I’m not sure either team gets past Martinsville even in a down year for them.
