  1. Earlier in the week I asked about how they give themselves a chance by the 2min drill. Sounds like they are doing what they can do far to get it.
  2. They will be on their 3rd coach in 4 seasons. Man it’s hard for any team to develop even a .500 program with that much turn around. Hopefully JC is able to find someone able to stay in the position for more than two seasons to see what could develop. From what I hear their MS team wasn’t too bad this past season, so that maybe a group to start some decent growth from.
  3. I am getting word the sectional final game will be in New Albany now, per some IHSAA decision. Not sure why it’s so hard to figure out. Is anyone able to verify?
  4. Based on the progress of the year and the earlier head to head I’m assuming pretty much everyone’s is taking New Albany over Seymour. Which on the surface then doesn’t leave much discussion left here for the year. But to keep a little of the talk going I’ll pose this question. What does Seymour need to do one both sides of the ball on Friday to keep the game within a punchers chance at the 2 min. drill?
  5. But I read on this thread that Floyd was not a god team this year. I don’t know what to believe.
  6. Looks like NA is comfortably in the conference drivers seat after this weeks results. While anything could happen, not sure on paper they taking two conference losses from here on to fall off the top stop.
  7. I posted what I was told about the varsity situation just a few days ago.
  8. Last years many schools were on a pretty strict protocol of health safety with mandatory mask, hybrid schedules, restricted access, and creating as much spacing as possible during the school day. That helped limited the cases of student removal due to contact tracing This year many of those protocols (pushed by politics or not) have fallen by the wayside. Yet, their is still enough concern from healthcare officials that anyone without proper PPEs who has prolonged contact with a COVID positive individual is required to be quarantined. Thus when a case does pop up in school it’s has the potential to pull out more of the student body than before. What I’m hearing from someone with a player in the Seymour team is that about 40 students were removed from school due to contact tracing of one individual who tested positive. Not clue if the individual was on the team, but the contact tracing did remove a decent number of the varsity football team for the next 10 days. With it being a mandatory 10 days (possible incubation period for COVID) even without symptoms or a negative test I wouldn’t be surprised if next weeks game is in danger too.
  9. But honestly both their MS teams have been on the downhill slide for the last 5 years. I’m sure Gaddis saw the writing on the wall that the pipeline was slowing down, especially if many of the decent MS talent was starting to ended up at North.
  10. East may just need that wake up call to pull it together more, but dropping the game likely means someone else finally can win Conference this year.
  11. Man that’s an ugly start for the Owls. Unless this is a sign that Jeff has stepped it up to a whole new level, or more likely seems to indicate Seymour struggling a lot this year.
