New Donald Trump thread
swordfish replied to Muda69's topic in Gridiron Out of Bounds's Out of Bound Forum
The only reason "supreme" was put in my post was because of the term "white supremacy" becoming (IMHO) synonymous with simply being white. Now the nomenclature appears to be headed to "white privilege". So you are saying (based on the highlighted text) then it is NOT racist if one would consider someone who is (perceived as) other than white to be a person of less privilege? (based solely on the color of his skin) FYI - I really must have missed out on the "granting" of those "certain advantages/privileges" you touched on......care to expound? -
"Green New Deal" - needs it's own thread

OMG - IT WAS A MEME FOR CRYING OUT LOUD....... -
indicates to SF that New Zealand is pretty surprised by the backlash stemming from the immigration policies of the past decade and is looking to place blame anywhere else but themselves......And the US media in all it's anti-Trump rage is very eager to oblige...... UH - Again - SF believes there is nobody to blame but the shooter himself. (Period) The optics in the world's view, where the shooter's manifesto (which obviously nobody but SF read before it was removed) specifically points at the issue(s) of immigration of mainly Muslim population puts the spotlight squarely on the NZ government and it's policies, so (IMHO) I feel the movement by the government to immediately impose stricter gun laws (which are pretty darn strict) as well as (by proxy) point the finger in any other direction is pretty reactionary. Put the blame on the shooter and his ilk, and don't accept any responsibility, and certainly don't buy into the rhetoric of it being fault of a US President or the daughter of a former US President......

SF doesn't speak "legalese" fluently (or at all for that matter) enough to contribute to a debate on this topic, but my first thought is that the user should be the one that assumes all risk when using a product. Except that when a consumer uses a product in the legal manner it was intended and designed for, then the factory warranty would apply and liability would stem from there.

Last week and through the weekend most of the media played the "Trump rhetoric fueled the NZ shooter and white nationalists" card as hard as they could, totally ignoring the shooter's own manifesto where he somewhat supported Trump "BUT" https://thehill.com/policy/international/434238-new-zealand-suspect-wrote-in-manifesto-he-supported-trump-as-a-symbol-of “As a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose? Sure. As a policy maker and leader? Dear god no.” .......Now the idea floated that Chelsea Clinton is somehow responsible: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2019/03/16/new-zealand-shooting-chelsea-clinton-blamed-attack/3184870002/ indicates to SF that New Zealand is pretty surprised by the backlash stemming from the immigration policies of the past decade and is looking to place blame anywhere else but themselves......And the US media in all it's anti-Trump rage is very eager to oblige...... SF is struck how in the recent past 5 years or so of the Muslim (ISIS or others) terrorist attacks that happen so frequently are largely ignored.....

1) Do not equate the actions of the lord to the actions of the US Government. 2) Actually, Jesus was able to take 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes and fed 5,000 people that he was preaching to.........It's what the bible calls a "MIRACLE".....Not a government handout....... 3) Prime example of why SF doesn't discuss the bible with an atheist...... 4) Yeah I know - it's just a meme........but.....

And it gets even more outrageous...... https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/lori-loughlins-daughter-was-in-usc-officials-yacht-when-mother-was-charged Lori Loughlin's daughter Olivia Jade Giannulli was spending spring break on a University of Southern California official's yacht when her mother was accused Tuesday of involvement in a college admissions scheme, reports said. Giannulli, 19, was on Rick Caruso's luxury yacht Invictus in the Bahamas, a report said. Caruso is chairman of USC's Board of Trustees. "Once we became aware of the investigation, the young woman decided it would be in her best interests to return home." — Rick Caruso, chairman of USC's Board of Trustees Ya think???

New Donald Trump thread

Wouldn't it be racist for someone to consider me (a white male) supreme, or privileged just because of the color of my skin and not how I treat other human beings?? -
https://www.investigativeproject.org/7847/sarsour-and-her-islamist-entourage-protect Anti-Semitic activist Linda Sarsour on Wednesday ordered people associated with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) to physically block former Wall Street Journal journalist and Muslim Reform Movement leader Asra Nomani from entering U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib's (D-Mich) office. Nomani, a longtime CAIR critic, posted video of the encounter. Sarsour is overheard in Arabic telling her crew to block Nomani's entry. "Don't let her [Nomani] be one of the first ones in. Do you all hear me? Come stand here. Don't let her be one of the first ones in." The video shows Sarsour with CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad, Ahmed Bedier – former director of CAIR's Tampa chapter – and CAIR's Government Affairs Director, Robert McCaw. The group was on Capitol Hill to lobby against a resolution condemning anti-Semitic statements from Tlaib's colleague, U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar even though the resolution does not name Omar. From its creation, CAIR was part of a Hamas-support network called the Palestine Committee. Awad was featured on a list of Palestine Committee officials whose mission, the Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals found, was to "support Hamas from abroad." Sarsour has espoused anti-Semitic smearsworse than Omar's and advocates for one-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict – meaning Israel would be eliminated. Rejecting Israel's existence is a form of anti-Jewish bigotry according to the State Department's definition of anti-Semitism. "I am an unapologetic pro-BDS, one-state solution supporting resistance supporter here in the U.S.," Sarsour told an audience at the Islamic Society of North America's (ISNA) annual convention in September, the Investigative Project on Terrorism exclusively reported. These are the types of characters who meet privately with Rashida Tlaib to defend Ilhan Omar. Criticism and condemnation rained down last month on Omar, a Minnesota Democrat, after she tweeted, "It's all about the Benjamins baby" to explain why she and fellow Tlaib draw attention for their "criticisms of Israel." Who is the source of this popular reference to cash? "AIPAC!" Omar added, referring to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Facing serious backlash from many in her party, Omar issued a caveated apology. Omar has since doubled down on purveying anti-Semitic tropes, by depicting support for Israel as a form of dual allegiance. From the outset, Omar and Tlaib's Islamist backers immediately came to their defense. Wednesday's footage shows these radical supporters will not back down. Yeah, she's not anti-semantic......She's just debating......That's what HAMAS and CAIR are really all about.....Getting along.....

https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/11/politics/donald-trump-daylight-saving-time/index.html Washington (CNN)After losing an hour of executive time to "springing forward" his clock an hour over the weekend, President Donald Trump voiced his support Monday to eliminate states' legal requirement of "falling back" an hour each year. "Making Daylight Saving Time permanent is O.K. with me!" Trump tweeted. One of the most common justifications for the time switch is the presumption that by extending summer daylight later into the evening, Americans use less energy. It was the reason Congress used in enacting Daylight Saving Time during World War I and again after the United States joined WWII, according to author David Prerau, who wrote a book which traced the history of the shift on Daylight Saving Time. The President supports making DST permanent (never change clocks again) - Which means it will never happen....... -
