  1. SF kinda remembers the Former Senator/Vice President taking a whole lot of credit for solving and avoiding this mess. Are we finding out this is not true? https://www.wndu.com/2022/10/10/large-rail-union-rejects-deal-renewing-strike-possibility/?fbclid=IwAR2u2Mz0d5mn_ic1IMnbtJpDiFIX2xkD1sTwYiVk1WCT_NLbpXGCWmMwYdg OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — The third largest railroad union rejected its deal with freight railroads Monday — renewing the possibility of a strike that could cripple the economy — but before that could happen both sides will return to the bargaining table. About 56% of the track maintenance workers represented by the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employes Division union who voted opposed the five-year contract even though it included 24% raises and $5,000 in bonuses. Union President Tony Cardwell said the railroads didn’t do enough to address worker concerns about the lack of paid time off — particularly sick time — and demanding working conditions after the major railroads eliminated nearly one-third of their jobs over the past six years. “Railroaders are discouraged and upset with working conditions and compensation and hold their employer in low regard. Railroaders do not feel valued,” Cardwell said in a statement. “They resent the fact that management holds no regard for their quality of life, illustrated by their stubborn reluctance to provide a higher quantity of paid time off, especially for sickness.” The railroads didn’t immediately comment on the rejected contract. Four other railroad unions have approved their agreements with the freight railroads that include BNSF, Union Pacific, Kansas City Southern, CSX and Norfolk Southern, but all 12 unions that represent a total of 115,000 workers must ratify their contracts to prevent a strike. One other union, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, initially rejected its deal but has since renegotiated a new contract. The voting won’t be completed until mid-November. President Joe Biden put pressure on the railroads and unions to reach a deal last month ahead of a mid-September deadline to allow a strike or walkout. Many businesses also urged Congress to be ready to intervene in the dispute and block a strike if an agreement wasn’t reached because so many companies rely on railroads to deliver their raw materials and finished products. In general, the deals the unions agreed to closely follow the recommendations a special panel of arbitrators that Biden appointed made this summer. That Presidential Emergency Board recommended what would be the biggest raises rail workers have seen in more than four decades, but it didn’t resolve the unions’ concerns about working conditions. Instead it said the unions should pursue additional negotiations or arbitration that can take years with each railroad individually. The Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way union said it agreed to delay any strike until five days after Congress reconvenes in mid November to allow time for additional negotiations.

How's that visit to UAE working out for you Uncle Joe? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11283503/Biden-OPEC-oil-production-gas-prices.html Saudi Arabia snubs Biden as OPEC CUTS oil production by 2 MILLION barrels a day: Gas prices set to rise HIGHER after White House 'begged middle east nations not to cut output' just five weeks before midterms The cut is OPEC+'s largest since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic It could help Russia keep financing its illegal invasion of Ukraine despite the West's efforts to cut oil and gas as a source of revenue for Putin's war machine The White House was 'having a spasm and panicking' over the potential outcomes of OPEC's decision, an unnamed administration official told CNN Biden aides took victory laps when gas prices fell at a record pace this summer They have been relatively silent on the issue as they start to creep back up Prices at the pump have jumped by 60 cents per gallon in some parts of the US The president told reporters that he 'needs to see the details' of OPEC+'s announcement when asked for reaction on Wednesday National Security Council official John Kirby downplayed the likely effects in an interview on Fox News and said the US needs to be less dependent on foreign oil

  8. https://pagesix.com/2022/10/03/billy-eichner-blames-straight-people-for-bros-flopping/?_ga=2.3378416.1353249850.1664799537-640333754.1653394742 Billy Eichner thinks straight people are to blame for his gay rom-com flopping at the box office over its opening weekend. The comedian, who co-wrote, executive-produced and stars in “Bros,” penned a lengthy Twitter thread on Sunday in response to the film making only $4.8 million in the US and Canada, approximately 40 percent less than expected. “Even with glowing reviews, great Rotten Tomatoes scores, an A CinemaScore etc, straight people, especially in certain parts of the country, just didn’t show up for Bros. And that’s disappointing but it is what it is,” Eichner, 44, wrote, adding, “That’s just the world we live in, unfortunately.” Urging moviegoers to see “Bros,” which has been marketed as the first film featuring an entirely LGBTQIA+ cast to get a wide release, the “Billy on the Street” star quipped, “Everyone who ISN’T a homophobic weirdo should go see BROS tonight! You will have a blast! And it *is* special and uniquely powerful to see this particular story on a big screen, esp for queer folks who don’t get this opportunity often. I love this movie so much. GO BROS!!!” “Bros,” which had a $22 million production budget, landed in fourth place at the box office, trailing behind “Smile” ($22 million), “Don’t Worry Darling” ($7.3 million) and “The Woman King” ($7 million). Despite its disappointing debut, Eichner insisted audiences are loving the flick, which also stars Luke Macfarlane, Ts Madison and Monica Raymund. “Last night I snuck in and sat in the back of a sold out theater playing ‘Bros’ in LA,” he began the same Twitter thread. “The audience howled with laughter start to finish, burst into applause at the end and some were wiping away tears as they walked out. It was truly magical. Really. I am VERY proud of this movie.” The “Parks and Recreation” alum previously joked to Page Six that he was “f–king” his hunky co-star Macfarlane, 42, in real life and that the sex was “amazing.” “We spent a lot of time together, and we still like each other … we’re not dating,” he said at the New York City premiere of the Nicholas Stoller-helmed film. “It’s very ‘Don’t Worry Darling,’” he quipped, referencing director Olivia Wilde’s relationship with her movie’s star Harry Styles, whom she met on the set of their psychological thriller. Hmmmm - SF hasn't been to a theatre in over a decade or more, so I really don't think I am to blame here...... The reality (IMHO) is his acting isn't appealing to many people. I kinda liked his character in Parks and Rec, but as a leading role, I kinda think he's a bit overrated......I guess he is right though, the storyline/topic isn't one of my top choices for entertainment.
  9. https://nypost.com/2022/10/03/biden-thanks-coast-guard-member-for-hurricane-heroics-before-vax-mandate-firing/ President Biden thanked a US Coast Guard member for saving lives during Hurricane Ian — only for the hero rescue swimmer to reveal he will soon be discharged for not being vaccinated against COVID-19. “I told him how proud of him I was and thanked him for all the work he and his Coasties are doing to save lives,” Biden said Friday of his call with Aviation Survival Technician Second Class Zach Loesch, Fox News reported. The president also spoke with Lt. Cmdr. Christopher Hooper. “The President thanked them for saving lives and asked for a report on the work that continues to rescue Floridians. He also asked if they needed any additional support that he can provide to accelerate successful rescues,” the White House said in a readout. But despite the tribute, Loesch told Breitbart News that he is among the service members poised to be discharged in 30 to 60 days for not following Biden’s mandate making the jabs mandatory in the military. SF is reasonably sure the people these guys rescued in Florida last week and over the weekend probably weren't concerned if their rescuers had been vaccinated for CoVid or not.
  10. The FBI has found more evidence against Trump, They found out Trump colored outside the lines when he was in Kindergarten. The DOJ said no one is above coloring outside the lines. Well that surely will do him in now.......Jeez.....
  11. Isn't New York City supposed to be underwater by now? (According to Al Gore's book)..... Interesting post from David Moe (B.Sc. in Chemistry & Mathematics, University of Calgary (Graduated 1970)Upvoted by, B.S. Accounting & Mathematics, University of Houston-Clear Lake (1994) Author) The ocean is not rising at 1/2 foot per year, according to NASA satellite measurements, it is rising at 3.2 millimetres per year. That works out to one foot per century. At that rate, it will take 600 years for it to rise 6 feet. Just ignore everything that rocket scientist Al Gore said in his book. 600 years is a long time to raise the land level 6 feet, in fact the land will rise 12 feet on on its own if they don’t take away the grass clippings, fallen leaves, and dust falling out of the air. I had that experience with an old house I used to own. The house was 100 years old and the lawn was 2 feet higher than when the house was built. Left to its own devices, the land will rise an average of two feet per century. That’s how the ancient artifacts and dinosaurs got buried so deep.
  12. https://nypost.com/2022/09/21/ny-ag-letitia-james-sues-donald-trump-kids-and-company/ New York Attorney General Letitia James on Wednesday filed a $250 million lawsuit against former President Donald Trump, his kids Eric, Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr., and the Trump Organization — alleging “staggering” fraud in the family real estate business. The 220-page civil suit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court is the culmination of a three-year investigation by the Democrat’s office to determine whether the Trump Organization’s assets were exaggerated for loan, insurance and tax purposes. It seeks to tear away Trump’s ability to run businesses in the Empire State and to prohibit him and his company from buying up commercial real estate for several years. “Donald Trump falsely inflated his net worth by billions of dollars to unjustly enrich himself, and cheat the system, thereby cheating all of us,” James said at a news conference announcing the suit. “Claiming you have money that you do not have does not amount to the art of the deal, it’s the art of the steal,” she said, referring to Trump’s 1987 book. SF would have to think if the charges listed against DJT had any factual basis, he would already be in jail......So the goal is obviously to keep litigating him until he isn't running in 2024.
  13. https://nypost.com/2022/09/21/canadian-school-backs-trans-teacher-with-giant-fake-boobs/ A Canadian school board is “standing behind” a trans teacher who sparked protests after turning up to classes with “clownish” giant prosthetic breasts. The blond high school teacher went viral after being filmed operating a cut-off saw in class while wearing tight black shorts and balloon-like breasts drooping around the waist in a tight, striped top. Other images taken by pupils at the school in Oakville, about 20 miles outside Toronto, showed the same teacher in other outfits, with huge nipples protruding from the fake bust. The Halton District School Board confirmed that the person getting “significant attention online” was an Oakville High School teacher. It refused to identify the educator while warning that the wrong person had been named in online reports. Some disturbed pupils have skipped classes held by the Oakville industrial arts teacher, who began identifying as female last year, according to the Toronto Sun. The Halton District School Board “stands behind” the “gender rights” of the teacher despite uproar over the fake breasts that a lawyer calls “clownish” and even “sexist.” “The kids here most definitely don’t think it’s normal … but realistically we can’t say anything,” the paper quoted one pupil as having tweeted. But “I don’t think the school can fire” the teacher, who still identified as a man last year, the pupil said. Halton District School Board Chair Margo Shuttleworth also confirmed there have already been protests and angry complaints. “I do know there have been phone calls made to the school that haven’t been the most pleasant in nature,” Shuttleworth told the Toronto Sun. The board was “creating a safety plan” for the teacher to “make sure she is protected” and can continue leading classes amid the protests, the board chair said. Protecting “gender rights” is “the stance the school board is taking and they are standing behind the teacher,” Shuttleworth told the local paper. One high school pupil reportedly said that “the kids here most definitely don’t think it’s normal.” “This teacher (who teaches shop) is an extremely effective teacher,” she insisted. “All the kids really love being in the class,” the board chair said — while conceding “there had to be some disconnect” because pupils recorded the teacher in class. Employment lawyer Sunira Chaudhry disagreed with the school’s stance — telling the Toronto paper that supporting such unprofessional attire was in fact “creating a wedge” in gender rights. “It’s clownish,” Chaudhry insisted of the teacher’s image. “It seems sexist to me, because of the exaggerated nature of these breasts with nipples protruding. I think a lot of young women at the school wouldn’t just feel uncomfortable, they’d feel mocked.” She insisted a school would equally be expected to step in “if a teacher came in with natural breasts, nipples protruding, a low-cut top and no bra.” The outrage “has nothing to do with something like transgender rights,” the Toronto Sun’s op-ed editor insisted. Schools are expected to step in and say, “We need you as a teacher to come to school and dress professionally,” she stressed. The Toronto Sun’s op-ed editor, Anthony Fury, also insisted that “parents (and students) are right to be concerned.” “The situation just isn’t normal and shouldn’t be allowed to continue,” the columnist wrote. “This has nothing to do with something like transgender rights,” Fury wrote, saying it “goes beyond an incident of ‘wokeness’ or ‘political correctness.'” “The story has gone viral not because the teacher identifies as trans. It’s gone viral because everyone knows it’s completely inappropriate for someone to present themselves this way in a professional environment,” the columnist wrote. Literally SMH......What is next?
  14. All is right, I mean white, in Martha’s Vineyard again. Close call but the diversity crisis has been averted.
  15. https://nypost.com/2022/09/16/biden-says-gop-govs-un-american-playing-politics-with-human-beings/ President Biden has accused Republican governors of being “un-American” and “playing politics with human beings” by relocating border-crossers to Democrat-run sanctuary hotspots. Speaking to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Gala late Thursday, Biden insisted that his administration was “committed to fixing the immigration system.” But “instead of working with us on solutions, Republicans are playing politics with human beings, using them as props,” the president said, hours after dozens of migrants arrived in Martha’s Vineyard and others were dropped off outside Vice President Kamala Harris’ home in Washington, DC. “What they’re doing is simply wrong. It’s un-American, it’s reckless,” Biden raged of the governors’ dramatic protest of his immigration policies. I am throwing the BS flag on this one. What is MORE un-American (according to lunatic liberals like former VP Biden) than not welcoming illegal immigrants into their own "sanctuary cities"? These border state Governors have had to allow over 2 million illegals into their cities this year, but it's "un-American" to provide transportation to somewhere else in the US that "virtue signals" that "all peoples are welcome here"? NO. It's no secret SF didn't vote for this guy, and I don't hold back criticism, but this time the former Vice President has crossed a line with his comments. He's the idiot that opened the border as far as he legally could after Trump, halted the wall construction and "covertly" invited them to come on in. Now his border Czar former Senator Harris won't comment or acknowledge the illegal aliens planted right outside her door. Yeah, SF is beginning to call the current administration by their former titles, since it is very apparent they have no intention to actually do anything worthwhile.
