  1. “Amy Klobuchar introduces Timothy Walz as a coach who ‘turned’ a team ‘into state champions,’” one person said in a post on X. “He was NEVER a head coach. He didn’t ‘turn’ anyone into state champions.” Walz was a faculty member at Mankato from 1996 to 2006. During that time, he served as the Scarlets linebackers coach and defensive coordinator until 2002. Under head coach Rick Sutton, the school won its first state championship in 1999. So there's that "coach title grabbing" in addition to the "stolen valor" episode - but SF is wondering about the 1995 DUI arrest that is downplayed as something less than "reckless driving" https://www.cnn.com/2024/08/15/politics/tim-walz-2006-campaign-falsely-described-dwi-kfile/index.html and wondering whether there was ever a connection made between the Mankato school system allowing a teacher with a DUI record to coach and potentially transport students? https://nypost.com/2024/08/22/us-news/coach-tim-walz-called-out-after-ex-players-hit-dnc-stage/ Former members of the Mankato West High School football team took center stage at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Wednesday night in support of their former coach, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, as he formally accepted the Democratic nomination for vice president. However, social media stirred over the reference to Walz as a football coach who turned a losing team into state champions. “In Minnesota, we trust a coach who turned a team that was 0-27 into state champions,” Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) said in her speech on the third night of the DNC. Ben Ingman, one of Walz’s former students, who said the governor also coached him in seventh-grade basketball and track at Mankato, echoed that sentiment. “Coach Walz got us excited about what we might achieve together. He believed in us, and he helped us believe in each other. And his leadership stuck. That track team went on to win a state title, just like the football team.” Several players then took the stage in pep rally-style fashion, eliciting cheers from the crowd as the school’s fight song played in the background. However, some on social media couldn’t help but point out that Walz only served as an assistant coach while at Mankato. “Amy Klobuchar introduces Timothy Walz as a coach who ‘turned’ a team ‘into state champions,’” one person said in a post on X. “He was NEVER a head coach. He didn’t ‘turn’ anyone into state champions.” “Still really, really confused about why they keep pushing the ‘Coach Walz’ thing from a million years ago when Tim Walz was a volunteer assistant coach…why not focus on his Governorship…?…no…they just want to focus on Coach Walz…it’s strange,” another person wrote. Walz was a faculty member at Mankato from 1996 to 2006. During that time, he served as the Scarlets linebackers coach and defensive coordinator until 2002. Under head coach Rick Sutton, the school won its first state championship in 1999.
  2. Maybe Trump is right - Walz may be worse than Harris..... https://nypost.com/2024/08/19/us-news/tim-walz-commuted-the-life-sentence-of-a-teen-charged-with-killing-an-11-year-old-girl-since-then-hes-been-busted-twice/ CHICAGO — As Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz celebrates on the first day of the Democratic National Convention on Monday, a man whose murder sentence he commuted will face trial for additional crimes he’s accused of committing since the now-Democratic vice presidential nominee set him free early. Myron Burrell was given a life murder sentence for the 2002 killing of 11-year-old Tyesha Edwards, who was struck by a stray bullet while doing homework, but Walz voted to commute Burrell’s sentence when the governor was a member of the Minnesota Board of Pardons in 2020. Burrell was 16 at the time of the shooting. Police said he shot Tyesha while attempting to hit a rival gang member. Two years after his commutation, Burrell has been in and out of court hearings for two separate arrests. He was first arrested in 2023 for illegally possessing a gun and fifth-degree possession of controlled substance. Burrell, now 37, was arrested again in 2024 and received a separate charge of one count of fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance after police found evidence of a controlled substance in his car and a pill that tested for methamphetamine. Burrell’s jury trial for his 2023 arrest begins in Hennepin County on Monday morning, according to court records reviewed by The Post. Burrell was originally handed a life sentence by Amy Klobuchar, who was then a prosecutor. She pointed to the case as evidence of her tough-on-crime record during her political career as she rose to senator. The case was brought to light again after Klobuchar ran for the presidency in 2020 and after the death of George Floyd and the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement demanding police reform. Burrell had maintained innocence in the case in the nearly two decades since he was convicted. In 2020, an Associated Press investigation also called the case into question after the outlet pointed out that there was no DNA, gun or fingerprints directly tying the case to Burrell. Instead, the case relied on eyewitnesses and jailhouse informants who pointed to Burrell. Ultimately, Burrell’s sentence was commuted to 20 years. Burrell had already served 18 years behind bars, and the remaining two years would be served outside prison with supervision, as proposed by Walz. It was the first time in 22 years that a murder case was commuted in the state. Walz said at the time, “we cannot turn a blind eye to the developments in science and law as we look at this case.” He also addressed the Edwards family: “We’re not here to relitigate the crime committed against your family that took your daughter away. There is nothing I can do to ease your pain, and it will not be made better. But we must act today to recognize the law in this area has changed. Justice is not served by incarcerating a child for his entire lifetime for a horrible mistake committed many years ago.” Jimmie Edwards III, Tyesha’s brother, had spoken out in 2020 about how the commutation was hard for his family to hear for their mother. “When she lost our sister, it took her away. She was never able to recover,” Edwards III said of his and Tyesha’s mother. “I’m glad my mom is not here to witness this, because it would just break her heart.” The Harris-Walz campaign did not immediately respond to an inquiry from The Post.
  3. So, the DNC has fenced off very large portions of Chicago in preparation for this week - proving once again that walls do indeed work! (Remembering the previous administration getting turned down after asking for almost $6 billion for a border wall and being told "walls don't work" - although over $175 billion has been sent to Ukraine to protect their border) AND - According to the story, they will be checking ID's (which I thought was going to be pretty difficult for people to get according to the arguments made by the anti-voter ID wing of the DNC.......) https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/dnc-security-gates-downtown-magnificent-mile/ CHICAGO (CBS) -- The preparations for the Democratic National Convention are in high gear, and on Saturday security measures surprisingly spilled over into neighborhoods nowhere near the United Center or McCormick Place. At the Dirksen Federal Building in the Loop, security gates popped up overnight to prevent anyone from vandalizing the courthouse, while people living along the Magnificent Mile and Gold Coast discovered unexpected more security gates and road closures miles away from the DNC sites. "They put this up like 5:30 in the morning. So they kind of did it under the wraps," Chris McClendon. "I live right over here at the Hancock Building. When I came outside, I had to go check the map to see what's going on. I thought this was at the United Center." Along the Magnificent Mile near Chicago Avenue, roads have been blocked off, police officers are on standby, and large security gates have partially cut off access to sidewalks. The measures popped up overnight, leaving McClendon a little perplexed. "I had to go back and get my wallet to make sure no one checked me, because I heard they're going to do checks and stuff like that," he said.
  4. Thank you brother! Life as a Lesbian trapped in a male body is tougher than you think. Yessir....
  5. OK - So SF could identify as a Lesbian trapped in a Male's body then? And I wouldn't be considered as crazy for that - in fact, maybe even be up for a position in the Harris/Walz campaign and celebrated as being a "Diversity hire"? https://nypost.com/2024/08/16/us-news/harris-campaign-job-seekers-have-9-different-pronoun-options-more-pronouns-than-policy/ Vice President Kamala Harris’ website allows job seekers to choose from among nine different pronoun options when applying for a position on her campaign — leading some social media users to blast the Democrat for having “more pronouns than policies.” Applicants can select from the more mainstream “he/him,” “she/her” and “they/them” pronouns or choose less conventional gender-neutral options, including “xe/xem,” “ze/hir,” “ey/em,” and “hir/hir.” “Hu/hu,” which indicates that a person wants to emphasize their humanity over their gender, and “Fae/faer,” which denotes that a person is fluid between multiple genders but not masculine genders, are also presented as options. Potential hires can also write in “custom” pronouns or choose to go by “name only,” when filling out an application on the Harris campaign job portal. Job seekers are also asked how they would “contribute to building a diverse culture” and are given the option of completing a diversity survey at the end of the application which asks, “Do you identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community?” among other questions. The long list of pronoun options puzzled numerous social media users, with many indicating that they had never heard of most of them. Some also pointed out that the list is longer than the policy section on the Harris campaign website. “Kamala Harris has more pronouns (9) than policies (0) on her website,” one wrote, while another seethed, “#KamalaHarris cares more about her PRONOUNS than our economy or southern border.” Harris, 59, has long pushed for Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and so-called “woke” social-justice-oriented initiatives throughout her political career, which has sparked concern from some conservatives that she will pursue those sorts of domestic policies as president. “We have to stay woke. Like, everybody needs to be woke,” Harris urged during a 2017 conference. In the clip, which has recently gone viral, Harris adds, “And you can talk about if you’re the wokest or woker, but just stay more woke than less woke.” Former President Donald Trump, 78, has branded her as a “radical California liberal” since her entrance into the race after President Biden, 81, ended his re-election bid last month.
  6. "We had no idea" (sure......) https://nypost.com/2024/08/13/us-news/harris-campaign-editing-news-headlines-in-her-favor-without-outlets-knowledge-report/ Kamala Harris’ campaign team is editing news headlines in her favor — without outlets’ knowledge: report Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign team has been silently editing news headlines in Google search results to make it seem like major news outlets are on her side, according to a report. The altered headlines — all paired with a “Paid for by Harris for President” banner — were changed without the news outlets’ knowledge, Axios reported Tuesday. Nearly a dozen publishers were swept up in the faux headline campaign, including major companies like the Guardian, Reuters, CBS News, the Associated Press and PBS. Even smaller publications like North Dakota’s WDay Radio also saw their headlines changed. The ads include links to real articles from news outlets, but the headlines and descriptive text had been edited to cast a supportive light on the 59-year-old presidential hopeful. For example, one ad that ran alongside an article from the Guardian shows a headline that reads “VP Harris Fights Abortion Bans – Harris Defends Repro Freedom” and includes supporting text underneath the headline that reads, “VP Harris is a champion for reproductive freedom and will stop Trump’s abortion bans.” Another linking to an NPR story reads, “Harris Will Lower Health Costs,” with supporting text that says, “Kamala Harris will lower the cost of high-quality affordable health care,” Axios reported. Spokespeople from the affected companies like CNN, USA Today and NPR — all of which have published flattering content about Harris in recent weeks — said they had no idea the companies were tied up in the campaign. “While we understand why an organization might wish to align itself with the Guardian’s trusted brand, we need to ensure it is being used appropriately and with our permission. We’ll be reaching out to Google for more information about this practice,” a Guardian spokesperson said. Though misleading, the tactic does not violate Google’s policies because the fake ads are prominently labeled as “sponsored” and “easily distinguishable from search results.” The shocking report comes as Harris is hiding from the very same press that she is desperately trying to skew in her favor. The former California attorney general has refused to do significant interviews or news appearances since winning the presidential nomination more than three weeks ago. The Harris campaign did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.
  7. The EU sends Elon Musk a letter ahead of the Trump interview to potentially stop him from talking to the former President. https://www.euronews.com/my-europe/2024/08/12/eus-breton-reminds-musk-of-legal-obligations-ahead-of-trump-interview SF listened to the Elon Musk/Donald Trump "chat" on X last evening and learned a bunch about the man that solidified my belief since 2012 (yes 2012) that we needed someone like him in charge of the executive branch of government who is not able to be bought and influenced like many members of both houses of Congress. Basically Elon flipped the middle finger at the EU and did the interview anyway and has offered the same opportunity to the Harris campaign - even though he has already endorsed Trump.
  8. An example of "flip/flop" Kamala - Back in 2022, she was the tie-breaking vote in the Senate for the "Inflation Reduction Act" which gave the IRS $80 Billion that they used to implement expansion and start the SITCA (Service Industry Tip Compliance Agreement) which will crack down on wait staff to ensure they pay taxes on their tips they receive. https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2024/08/12/biden-harris-irs-expansion-purposely-cracked-down-workers-tips/ Then - This weekend she claimed (after receiving the endorsement of the Culinary Workers Union) to now support eliminating those same taxes to keep up with Trump's position ....https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-election/harris-supports-eliminating-federal-taxes-tips-rcna166124
  9. Requiring an ID to vote is racist! But requiring an ID to get into my rally - well that's different!! (cackle, cackle)
  10. "Tampon Tim" Could she pick a worse running mate than him? And they call Trump/Vance "Weird"...... A mob of "mostly peaceful" thugs burn a police station to the ground.....unless anyone forgets.....
  11. Interesting running mate choice considering the current political climate and his history dealing with it. He sure is popular with the lefties though..... https://apnews.com/live/trump-harris-vp-pick-election-updates Vice President Kamala Harris has chosen Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate, looking to strengthen the Democratic ticket in Midwestern states.
  12. New idea for a Trump campaign ad - "I got shot, I have 3 baby mommas, and I have a mug shot - I'm more black than that b!@#h will ever be!" I think it could be a winner!
  13. Wasn't Trump's best moment - that's for sure..... Sad part is - Trump was speaking the truth with his comment and the MSM simply repeated it without showing the question he was attempting to answer. Instead the common term now is "False Claim". The"moderator" asked if Trump agreed with "members of Congress who have referred to Harris, who is the first Black woman of Asian American descent to serve as Vice President as a so-called DEI hire". He gave an honest answer reflecting on the many times in the past where she seemingly shifted from "African American" to "Asian American" depending on her crowd at the time. JD Vance said it best by using the term "Chameleon" when referring to the VP. Apparently its offensive (for a white guy) to use the term "black"....(even though the moderator used it freely, but I guess she is black so there's that....) Kinda tough tough for an old guy like me who was taught in the 70's to be colorblind to accept that we now need to NOT be colorblind.....
  14. Not without controversy.. Yeahbut - "Khelif's passport says she is female" Chromosomes be damned!!! https://apnews.com/article/olympics-2024-boxing-gender-4b6eb881cce9c34484d30c68ad979127 VILLEPINTE, France (AP) — Imane Khelif of Algeria won her opening Olympic boxing bout on Thursday when opponent Angela Carini of Italy quit after just 46 seconds. Khelif was disqualified from the 2023 world championships after failing an unspecified gender eligibility test, and her presence at the Paris Olympics has become a divisive issue. Carini and Khelif exchanged only a few punches before Carini walked away and abandoned the bout, an extremely unusual occurrence in Olympic boxing. Carini, whose headgear apparently became dislodged at least once before she quit, didn’t shake Khelif’s hand after the decision was announced, but she cried in the ring on her knees. Afterward, a still-tearful Carini said she quit because of intense pain in her nose after the opening punches. Carini, who had a spot of blood on her trunks, said she wasn’t making a political statement and was not refusing to fight Khelif. “I felt a severe pain in my nose, and with the maturity of a boxer, I said ‘enough,’ because I didn’t want to, I didn’t want to, I couldn’t finish the match,” Carini said. Carini further said she is not qualified to decide whether Khelif should be allowed to compete. For Paris Olympics organizers, female designation in passport key for boxers after world champs DQs “I am not here to judge or pass judgment,” Carini said. “If an athlete is this way, and in that sense it’s not right or it is right, it’s not up to me to decide. I just did my job as a boxer. I got into the ring and fought. I did it with my head held high and with a broken heart for not having finished the last kilometer.” Khelif is an accomplished amateur who won a silver medal at the International Boxing Association’s 2022 world championships. The IBA — which has been banned from the Olympics since 2019 after years of disputes with the IOC — disqualified her from last year’s championships shortly before her gold-medal match because of what it claimed were elevated levels of testosterone. The 25-year-old entered the ring at the North Paris Arena to a chorus of cheers, but the crowd was confused by the bout’s sudden end. Italy coach Emanuele Renzini said he discussed the matchup with Carini and offered to allow her to back out earlier, but the boxer had been “very determined” to fight until the opening minute. “I am heartbroken because I am a fighter,” Carini said. “My father taught me to be a warrior. I have always stepped into the ring with honor and I have always (served) my country with loyalty. And this time I couldn’t do it because I couldn’t fight anymore, and so I ended the match.” Khelif could clinch an Olympic medal with a victory in her quarterfinal bout on Saturday against Anna Luca Hamori, Hungary’s first Olympic boxer. Hamori expressed no concern about fighting Khelif. “I’m not scared,” said Hamori, who trounced Marissa Williamson Pohlman of Australia. “I don’t care about the press story and social media. If she or he is a man, it will be a bigger victory for me if I win.” Khelif’s passport says she is female. Hamori and Khelif have never sparred, but they have competed in the same tournament before. Hamori repeatedly said she isn’t paying attention to the controversy because it’s only a hindrance to her quest for gold.
  15. So in today's world with all the new social rules.......We are supposed to forget/ignore all the times/events where the VP actually proudly proclaimed the FACT that she is indeed Indian? Maybe she should begin every speech or public address with "Today I identify as (insert race here)"......
  16. So with both 'X' and Space X moving to Texas, not one journalist was brave enough to go with the headline "All my Exes live in Texas"? (Copied from a different source)
  17. An attempt to hi-jack the narrative of this election.
  18. Maybe because he won't be on the ticket in 4 years......Come on Muda - your better than that.
  19. Well I have heard the term "Gay Pari" so yeah.....
  20. Simple questions? If the left thinks DEI is such as great program and tend to promote it at every opportunity, then why are they upset when it is used to describe VP Harris when the President himself touted the FACT that his VP pick was going to be a female? If everything is OK and doing well at the border like the President, Vice President and Homeland Security say it is, then what is wrong with calling the VP a Border Czar, when the President in fact DID put her in charge of border security. Whooopsie - questioning anything about the current presumed candidate is racist and sexist....
