  1. I don't think the timing is right for this yet, Sanders is still on the ballots. Governor Cuomo will be pushed forward as a suitable alternative to the former VP when the time is right. (ie: Sanders drops out) IMHO.....
  2. In the infection and allergy medical field - he IS the almighty. Dr. Fauci is the nation's leading doctor on this topic and his long time experience and position at NIAID and the White House Task Force will prohibit him ENDORSING something that has no solidly achieved data to support it. He will need solid data before he can prescribe it wholesale, so he will remain to be a stick in the mud on this one, of course, but doctors will still pursue this treatment, especially if it has a history that nets good results. Anyone else getting tired of the NY Governor losing his mind over ventilators/respirators? As of this morning, over 4,000 (additional to NY's current inventory) were delivered and yet he is asking for 26,000. NYC has less than 16,000 confirmed cases to date......and less than 1/4 of those cases even need hospitalization....... Cuomo has been pretty good through this pandemic, but he's losing my respect over this one......
  3. According to Mr. Paul, he had not been experiencing any symptoms and had only decided to be tested because of a possible exposure. Still doesn't have any symptoms......so I'm sure it was status quo until a positive. Had he paid attention to the CDC guidelines and not tested until he had symptoms, he may never had known he was positive. And neither would we.
  4. My dogs actually can discern the Chewy box when it lands on the porch now ......They couldn't care less about the virus - just open the box Dad.......
  5. We can agree on something (mark your calendars everyone - BO & SF agreed) However - The bigger story should be how these poor career politicians accumulate so much money.......#termlimits
  6. China Coronavirus or Wuhan Virus......SF didn't think China or Wuhan was a race.......Asian or yellow person flu - OK, I get it, racist...... MERS = Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Spanish Flu = Obvious Zika Virus = Named after the Ziika Forest in Uganda (origin) Ebola - Named after a river close to the origin https://www.livescience.com/48234-how-ebola-got-its-name.html https://qz.com/1820422/coronavirus-why-wont-who-use-the-name-sars-cov-2/ It started out as the “Wuhan virus”, with everyone from researchers to news outlets—including those inside China—referring to it as such. Then it was the “Wuhan coronavirus” and “China coronavirus,” and subsequently 2019-nCoV. Finally, on Feb. 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) gave the disease an official name: Covid-19. To be clear, Covid-19 refers to the disease. “Co” refers to corona, “vi” to virus, and “d” to disease. The virus that causes the disease is SARS-CoV-2, which was named by the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses. The “SARS” part of the name refers to the new coronavirus’ genetic link to the virus that caused the 2003 SARS outbreak. So one tests positive for SARS-CoV-2, not Covid-19, as it’s the virus and not the disease that does the infecting. The WHO lays out this distinction clearly on its website. But despite the virus having a full name, the WHO almost never refers to it as SARS-CoV-2. Instead, it uses “the virus responsible for Covid-19” and “Covid-19 virus.” Technically, the latter is redundant: spelled out, it would essentially read “coronavirus disease virus.” The broader contention over how to label the new coronavirus underscores how in the combustible mix of a public health crisis and geopolitical rivalries, names do far more than convey information. They draw battle lines. And as countries grapple with spiralling case counts and overrun emergency rooms, a fierce struggle is underway to command the pandemic’s narrative. In recent days, as the number of new reported cases slows in China, the country has sought to play up the storyline that it bought the world time, even suggesting that the US is to blame for the virus. Meanwhile, US politicians including president Donald Trump have insisted on using terms like ”Chinese Virus,” and a White House official called it “kung-flu” in front of a Chinese-American journalist. In this context, what the WHO—as a neutral, international agency—calls the virus suddenly carries a lot of weight. The WHO writes on its website that it steers clear of SARS-CoV-2 because “using the name SARS can have unintended consequences in terms of creating unnecessary fear for some populations, especially in Asia which was worst affected by the SARS outbreak in 2003.” At a press briefing on Feb. 13 (pdf), WHO executive director Michael Ryan noted that SARS-CoV-2 is a technical term for virologists in labs, while Covid-19 is a term for the average person. “We’re trying to relate the virus to the world, the experience that people have with the virus… so I don’t think there’s any inconsistency,” he said.
  7. I love our current President - But this sounds (and looks) so much better coming from the FLOTUS.......(IMHO)
  8. "I did not say that. I did not say that," Biden repeated. "It's a viral video like the other ones they're putting out that are simply a lie." "This is not OK, alright?" the man shot back. Biden replied, "Don't tell me that, pal, or I'm going to go outside with your ass." "You're working for me, man!" the worker said. "I'm not working for you," Biden said. "Don't be such a horse's ass." Spin it however you want, the worker's "this is not OK alright?" should have been the end with the former VP and Democrat Candidate who would like to have his vote, nodding and moving on, but Biden threatened this guy "Don't tell me that, pal, or I'm going to go outside with your ass" - So your "in context" BS is just that - BS A Senator, Congressman, or ANY other elected official that tells me he doesn't work for me will NOT get my vote and the people need to know what he said....Biden is a seasoned politician who said that, and it was immediately ignored by the media......
  9. And so did the WHO.....But your linked story fails to mention that......(Orange man bad, its all Trump's fault) https://dailycaller.com/2020/03/18/flashback-who-china-coronavirus-contagious/?fbclid=IwAR1rTVrLJpbxlLCxuZ_qPyhKbu9axGR_ESREufvn4wy3kzcoOlQ_wmTjx00 The World Health Organization (WHO) tried to cam fears of a pandemic on Jan. 14 by repeating China’s claim that coronavirus was not contagious among humans. “Preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission of the novel #coronavirus (2019-nCoV) identified in #Wuhan, #China,” the WHO tweeted.
  10. And followed his "I'm not working for you" comment with "Don't be such a horse's ass" https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/486812-biden-tells-man-confronting-him-about-2nd-amendment-youre-full-of-shit
  11. Had to laugh - the daughter of the owner of our company (our HR lady) came in the office this morning spitting nails, because this morning her Dad (in his late 70's but doesn't consider himself old) was having breakfast (just like every morning prior) at the coffee shop in downtown Shipshewana (Yes, there is a "downtown" at least that is what they call it) with his buddies. "I told him he'd better get home, or to the office, this place is supposed to be closed, I'm calling the Health Department and shutting this place down." She is the polar opposite of him and the rest of the office and is mother-henning us to death with sanitizer, clorox wipes, lysol, etc. in every office. God love her, but she is driving us nuts (short trip, yeah I know). IDK - would the health department shut something down?
