At least both Jennings County and Madison have invested heavily in their facilities. Hoping for both that is entities more kids to play and for their better athletes to stay home instead of looking to move to another district
Not looking past New Albany as they have shown the ability to score points but if they do put up points I would expect East to outscore them next week. If that happens it sets up a big game against Floyd Central the following week where they will look to end the Olympians conference winning streak
East played well but not much resistance from Jeff. I agree that penalties have been a huge issue on both sides of the ball year to date. East’s pass defense has been exposed by Columbus North In the second half and by Elkhart the entire game the previous two weeks. Jeffersonville QB was not accurate at all and was a non factor. I still think this is an issue for East. I also think if East is forced to throw more frequently they will struggle with that as well. The way to beat East is to stop the run defensively and have an accurate QB with the ability to throw the ball down field.
I don’t agree. 4 defensive players out now. I agree corners have been suspect but with an end out and linebacker out and best player out on D. They are having there way.
East is going to have a couple starters out on defense. Hopefully offense moves the ball like last week and cuts down on penalties and defense can stay fresh and subs can step up. Going to be a battle I think.
I misunderstood what you were saying. The conference is actually pretty solid in other sports. I don’t disagree with you about the need to change the conference or increase size. I like the non conference early schedule and the rivalry with North
Been a top 5 baseball team 3 of last 5 years. State Runner up in 2019. Would have been Top 5 again in 2020. Now having said that, they won’t be as strong in 2021 but Columbus North will be strong again. North has been top 10 program over the same period.
