I know that Westfield beating Carmel really makes everyone pay attention, but Fishers played Westfield to a 7 point game 4 weeks ago. What are the odds of that happening?

speaking of, do you remember when we could take a thermos of coffee into the games? One of my favorite memories was my grandpa dishing out cups of coffee to our group during the games at Freed Field.

I have a question, what were the fan situations like at the games around the state? I was rather surprised at the small amount of CP fans that made the drive to Penn last night. I was also annoyed at how poor Penn's fan turnout has been over the past few years. Also a school of 3500 kids had a rather dismal student section.

That Penn game could have easily been a blowout of Penn or a blowout of CP last night. Penn gave them every opportunity with 3 bad snaps on punts and a bad snap on a field goal. Penn showed resilience all game long. Bouncing back after every punch CP landed. I could not have asked for a more exciting game! Congrats to WESTFIELD!!!

This is another way teams up north are behind the times. Penn has their home games streamed live on youtube, but their away games is audio only. This has to help with recruiting of players because if it is on cable you should be able to DVR it and watch it. So, if you a recruit cannot make it to Ben Davis, but it seeing Brownsburg play Avon that weekend, he could just record the games and go back and watch the game to try and identify potential recruits from either school. This is so far beyond what I have seen out of Penn. I think the IHSAA could do better of getting games on local TV stations. Older folks in Knox would probably love to watch their QB/Tank run over other teams, but circumstances prevent them from getting out to the games. This is an awesome idea.

Elkhart didn't even show up!?! Carroll is playing their best football at the right time. I think they have their hands full with Northrop, although I have been told Carroll took their foot off the gas in the first game. Northrop has not played for a sectional title since 1999. These kids are playing for so many years of frustration. I expect it to be Carroll in regionals. I hope we see a Penn v Carroll game. That would be a second championship game in a row at Penn high school.
