I hope both teams are locked in and ready to roll tonight. I have a feeling the New Pal game is the true game of the night with the winner going to be the odds out favorite to win it all in 5A.

I would love to see Penn drop the South Bend Schools first. lol

This is another way teams up north are behind the times. Penn has their home games streamed live on youtube, but their away games is audio only. This has to help with recruiting of players because if it is on cable you should be able to DVR it and watch it. So, if you a recruit cannot make it to Ben Davis, but it seeing Brownsburg play Avon that weekend, he could just record the games and go back and watch the game to try and identify potential recruits from either school. This is so far beyond what I have seen out of Penn. I think the IHSAA could do better of getting games on local TV stations. Older folks in Knox would probably love to watch their QB/Tank run over other teams, but circumstances prevent them from getting out to the games. This is an awesome idea.

Elkhart didn't even show up!?! Carroll is playing their best football at the right time. I think they have their hands full with Northrop, although I have been told Carroll took their foot off the gas in the first game. Northrop has not played for a sectional title since 1999. These kids are playing for so many years of frustration. I expect it to be Carroll in regionals. I hope we see a Penn v Carroll game. That would be a second championship game in a row at Penn high school.

CP is going to come in very aggressive. They know just like all of us, Penn has only faced one true test and that was Mishawaka earlier this season. I expect them to come out and test our D down field early and to bring pressure against our QB on early downs to see if the O is ready for it. If Penn can with stand that we will be in good shape to compete. I just don't know if this team is ready for the punch in the mouth CP will provide them. I PRAY I AM WRONG.

St. Joe's D didn't look good early against Penn, but they seemed to bow up for the second quarter. If that D shows up for the next 8 quarters they will be hard to beat. Mishawaka is getable they allowed Northwood to gash them in the run game all night, if it wasn't for fumbles and a bad snap inside the 5 that game could have been very different for Mishawaka.

I was not aware of that. Does HSE have enough to get by Homestead, with their QB out? Might be a dumb question.

Temp do you think if HSE and Carroll played again it would be a different game? What is the spread at Carroll or at HSE?

I see Penn and Carroll being comparable.

Any given Friday anyone can win a game. That Northridge team is pretty bad. They had some unluckly games, I expect St. Joe's D to hold them to under 10 points.

This list is longer than I thought it would be!!! Great work NIC teams. Penn wins it by halftime. Carroll wins by at least 17 points. I am going to go with Kokomo, because when I pick Adams to win they get beat, so I am hoping the trend keeps. Marian wins tight game St. Joe is on a path that seems to be an inevitable collision with Mishawaka.

Temp come on, how is it mental gymnastics to point out that the game played that year was not much of a contest. I am not trying to flex on Center Grove, it is pointless. They are a far better program than Penn at this moment. Penn has nothing to flex about. I hardly ever bring up the 5 state titles we have won, unless comparing Penn to Penn. I regularly bring up those butt whippings Penn has received in like their last four or 5 outings at state. Penn has had 2 state title games where they were the clear better team, that night. Evansville North and CG. Other than that they were in tight games or getting blown out.

Crap, well let's hope Penn is better than Merrillville for my sanities sake. I get Portage scoring 23 on LaPorte but not on Merrillville
