I don’t see Riverton smacking around the Wolves on an annual basis Anytime in the near future. 8-10 years. Maybe in baseball or softball, but not football. Now for some real football talk watch match up would you like to see in the first round of the sectional? Mine is PH and South Put. Play the championship game the first week. Could be interesting with Covid numbers coming back up and schools having issues, If a few schools have problems it could make sectionals very interesting in a lot of areas.

I’m not sure that’s an excuse. I said that was my opinion of what I see from them. I’m sure if you ask any of the players or coaches. They would say they are give it all, all the time. Donnie you have been around long enough to know just because you have 50+ plus kids doesn’t mean you will have 22 good football players. Just like fans, when you think there will be success kids jump on the bandwagon also. Happens at all schools, all teams, all levels

Damn I don’t know which post to comment on. My opinion on the Wolves defense is you have the same athletes playing both ways. It feels like to me they are “taking a break” on defense so they are fresh on offense. Would be nice to have a few younger players that could step up and fill in on defense and make an impact or atleast feel a hole. I’m not sure the wolves have any players that truly like to hit anyone. Back in years past you would have kids that didn’t care about offense they just wanted to hit someone. That how’s for other teams also, not just the Wolves

Haven’t really been a good defense for awhile in Parke Heritage/ Rockville. I would say it was Herbs defense that worked at Rockville, or Batty forgot how to coach D when he became head coach. Points allowed under Batty as head coach last few years 17-18 21-34-57-65-35-42-41-54-40-8-40 16-17 40-20-34-39-57-44-42-38-56-55 15-16 48-14-40-30-6-45-54-58-46-15 issue I heard about Kent was he wanted to step in and be head coach. Doesn’t matter how much you think you know. Sometimes it’s better to sit back and listen. Is Kent coaching any places now? I know he was teaching at RP a couple years ago. He was a great football player, nice kid, but does he have the ability to develop a team? Just for fun do you think PH would of had better success under someone other then Moore? Base this on the candidates they would be getting after going 4-17 the previous 2 years.

Hate to hear this for any team at this time of the the year. Could make tournament time interesting. Cloverdale have covid also?

He must of been. That’s all you hear on here. That’s why he is a hall of fame coach. He followed the talent. That’s not my opinion of him, just of those that lose to him.

Good to see some conversation going on. Will RP every really be a force to reckon with in football? My opinion is no. You would think after all these years there would be a group of talent come through that would surprise people. A lot of youth programs start out well, but as kids get older they want to be on winning teams, that’s why at Riverton they play baseball, and even basketball has had some success. after going back and reading old’s post I didn’t see where he called PH pathetic. I think you you Bear54 asked “winning a conference championship is pathetic? How do?” They responded with “ that’s not pathetic, if that labels your season a success then that is” I can see his point. If PH doesn’t win a sectional this year I can see how they would not be happy with their season. Same goes to SV. from everything I heard or read, they think they will make a deep run in the tournament. If they don’t make it out of sectionals are they going to be fulfilled? If Olds is who I think he is, he isn’t a fair weather fan. He has had success himself playing and has enjoyed watching success by his kids in high school and hopefully for a few more years in college. As the main game for this week. If Herb can stop the run, they have a very good chance of beating the Cats. As forrest of the games, not much interest. Hope everyone stays safe and comes out healthy.

Sorry Donnie, I was late getting to the game and that’s about all the radio said. Ph heritage again is struggling on defense, Giving up big pass and run plays up the middle. As I’m not fully familiar with the team I do not know if this is the regular starting defense or they are playing different kids. I see the “Star” players out there, but do not know the supporting cast. The PH offense seems to finally showed up. 5 passing tds and roughly 250 passing yards. Nv runs up the middle and has a few over the middle pass plays. NV defense has nobody to cover the receivers for PH Refs are terrible popcorn is $1 hotdogs are $2 there is a cow trailer sitting in the north end of the field selling hot chocolate and iced tea. Not sure of price. I’ll try to do better Donnie, Please give us an update of the game you’re at.

Can’t help it they have D1 talent” Barrett brings the dream to Vermillion county” 3 and 5 will be the same type of game, but the response that will come after the game will be totally different. So after reading the thread for weeks and weeks and watching the WRC for years and years. I don’t understand the hatred towards Moore? Is it because he succeeds? Is it because he has put him in a position where he can coach where he wants to? if Crabtree decides to move on to a bigger or better school does the love for the man end once he isn’t wearing the falcon colors? Is Barrett so loved now because of his success? Where was the love before? Herbie has seen it all. Love hate Love. From taking the Rox to the state finals to basically people wanting him ran out of town. How did that end up for you Rockville folks? Had a pretty miserable few years after he was gone. I have a lot of respect for all the coaches as they just let the comments roll off their backs. They have a lot thicker skin then what I’ve seen by some people on here. I’m not sure who is in their sectional but any team that can stop the run can beat them. I would take the ball out of Shew and Nieves hands and make the QB prove his worth.

PH will have at least 2 more decent years with Johnson at qb ( best quarterback in the WRC) Hard to predict after that. 3.5 SV will be a .500 next year after Shew (best player in the WRC) And Nieves (another all conference player) graduate. 4. Herb is an all around class act.
