  1. I mean, I’m currently a runner…definitely wasn’t always. Bet we have more in common than you’d like to admit.
  2. So, your takeaway is that since I am in great shape I ran cross country, lol?
  3. Current resting heart rate: 43 bpm Current BMI: 24 Current BP: 112/72 Your turn grandpa.
  4. Picks don’t go final until 3pm Friday.
  5. Not my words.
  6. Gotta be honest…putting 213 points on the line for a 1-9 team seems odd, lol.
  7. I mean, they still have extremely difficult paths to the state finals. I’ve been critical of both programs on here multiple times. They have enough built up credibility but it’s slowly expiring.
  8. The buck stops with the head coach who is making MILLIONS of dollars to oversee student athletes and staff members. Do you not agree? “Kelly admitted it was his call to hold practice outdoors, citing a desire for a “productive” session and reliance on university safety protocols. He had moved practice indoors the day before due to similar winds but proceeded this time. Sullivan had tweeted earlier that day: “Gusts of wind up to 60 mph. Gonna be a fun practice today. Gotta love Notre Dame,” expressing unease about the conditions.”
  9. Geez, this is nauseating. I don’t give a damn about Warren. Relevant = have won a state title since the inception of 6A. When you have 32 teams in a class, there aren’t many seats at the table.
  10. Thanks. Temp’s Halloween Picks: 6A: Southport (213) 5A: Munster (177) 4A: Lebanon (107) 3A: Mishawaka Marian (174) 2A: Switzerland County (205) 1A: Cloverdale (192)
  11. For the last time. I don’t have a team.
  12. Not allowed to answer. I never played for them. Can’t wait until Penn is bounced from the postseason so you do your annual disappearing act.
  13. “You’re.” And no, I’m not.
  14. Just pathetic that two dudes who seem to share one brain think that because they “played the game” four decades ago they are superior, lol. While you were standing on the sideline in your jock strap, I was dating the cheerleader. And I married her.
  15. Which makes me even more confident I’m correct. You guys share a letter jacket? Ever get done fighting over that cheerleader?
  16. And you can’t get enough of me. In the palm of my hand I tell ya. One minute: “Keep up the content and bring back your HCC/MIC pick thread.” The next: “Stop trying to be an expert.” LOL.
  17. Seeding, sure. I’ll meet you halfway. Now, beating? Nope. Just referring to the regional and semi state teams on the bottom half of the bracket, so yes.
  18. If I remember correctly the “city speed” narrative was in full effect here on the GID at that time. @23andCounting claims that indoor field turf doubles an Indy teams’ speed.
  19. Same. Two things can be true at the same time. Look no farther than the CFP format last year. Boise and Arizona State were rewarded with high seeds based on winning their conference…but were underdogs once the games kicked off. Crown Point, based on being undefeated, would garner the #2 seed but I am taking Westfield and Fishers over them in a heartbeat. Westfield by multiple scores. Fishers by 7-10.
  20. Why are we continually changing the timeline here? Penn, in 2025 and in the 6A era, is irrelevant. Their success since the turn of the century, in most part has been due to their zip code. They’ve called flat on the highest stage more often than not. Those are facts. It doesn’t take a genius to see that geography matters. When I watch 6a south sectional, regional and semi-state games that are one possession and then watch the 6A north representative get their doors blown off on Thanksgiving weekend, that’s all the evidence I need. This particular year, with Carmel’s resurgence, I expect a competitive game. I could also see Westfield breaking through. But now you wanna claim them as “northern teams?” C’mon man.
  21. I honestly don’t hate Penn… not sure why you think I do. The reason I asked about your collegiate sports fandom is the fact that you always get easily triggered when someone is critical of Penn and revert back to the glory days like Notre Dame football, and Indiana basketball fans. Penn is synonymous with Indiana high school football success and as @23andCounting points out, they have a proud tradition. The only reason Penn has played in more state title games than the teams you mentioned above is because of their zip code. The 6A south gauntlet is where the real big boy football is played. The de facto state title game is played before Thanksgiving weekend more often than not. Don't really have an allegiance and if you pull the receipts, I’ve been critical of my Alma mater plenty. Not sure why that is relevant to this conversation. Warren and BD’s best football playing days are behind them and yes, by my own definition, their blue blood status is in peril if they don’t do anything in the next 3-4 years.
  22. Scott Frost said it best… When you're climbing the ladder of success in life, sometimes they forget to tell you to stop when you're happy
  23. Eh, once a line has been crossed the gloves come off. Three dudes on here seem to have a fixation with me…don’t owe em anything.
  24. I was always told that you should update your resume frequently… Penn typed theirs on a typewriter.
