  1. doubt you get a solid answer here....reach out to the larger Indy metro and suburb schools that have dedicated staff for those things.
  2. another question...during your run of 9-43 how many non varsity kids did you encourage to scratch out 60-110 bucks, drive several hours for an immeasurable experience?.....my guess is none?
  3. No bad experiences...in your ad you mention "college coaches in attendance" you are competing with several other "showcases" in Indy, Fort Wayne, Terre Haute to name a few. I wish you good luck getting those college coaches to attend. A few weeks ago we attended a combine in Indy because getting verified times/measurements is necessary, and way more important than getting a T shirt and then running around in shorts. I can tell you U Indy coaches were there and a few Marian...thats it. Those coaches are compiling a target recruiting list as we speak, but typically won't offer until during or after a kids senior year IF the kid can obviously play at the level. The dead period ends May 31....I hope and assume colleges are planning to have some camps in June as they have always done pre covid 19. Take ISU.....for 25.00 bucks you get combine numbers, drills, competition and you meet the coaches.
  4. sad you really have nothing to offer in terms of real world experience on this subject matter.
  5. 60 is too high also....a parent can spend 75.00 attending three on campus camps and actually meet college coaches...its a money grab which more power to you...its business. Unless a frosh/soph is a freak at your "showcase" they get nothing from it. Upperclassmen are already plugged from game tape.
  6. I have no questions...you are charging 110.00 after April 1....lets be honest..you and the others like you are getting paid mostly by parents of kids that have no varsity game tape. D2,3, NAIA don't offer roster spots until a kids senior year after the kid and parents realize D1 offers are few or non existent, which is great because U Indy and Marian pick up stud Indiana players. "none of them are going to happen this summer"...do you have confirmation that come May/June area schools are canceling for a second year in a row?
  7. you are competing with several other "showcase" camps around the same time....charging a large amount of scratch to attend. You will see mostly the same kids attend and by doing so they get the head shot photograph followed by a positive twitter mention by some wanna be scout. Its as buddy system. A ton of freshman/sophomore will attend and get zero from these "showcases" especially if they have no varsity game tape . Most of these kids will avoid the combines because they actually capture athletic measurements. "college coaches attending"....maybe...no D1 can attend not they we would anyway. Now that this Covid bullshit is going away college camps should be resuming this summer....Sycamores, U Indy, Purdue etc. is where the time and money should go.
  8. I can't disagree with your top three....the two money makers and most visible two sports we have...in the past few years Warren is much higher.
  9. As the great American poet John Mellencamp said "Ain't that American for you and me"
  10. maybe you don't have a teenager but I prefer to call it parental sacrifice since I'm not rich....limit restaurants, drive a modest vehicle type stuff....basically sacrifice my needs, so a kid can have more opportunities and life experiences....you only get one chance.
  11. it doesn't take being rich, but the bottom number on the 1040 needs to be healthy. Parents have choices depending where you call home....freedom and personal choice in the good ole USA
  12. Pretty much yes.....I do know that four QB's from teams in this years championship games religiously attend a prestigious academy on the northside, but its not just a QB thing. Speed and agility clinics everywhere...I know that because we go to them. Former Colt Robert Mathis is training D lineman. You may not be familiar with the IEFA league buts its no coincidence that all the participating teams are Indy Metro and doughnut counties and you can track the success all the way up to high school.
  13. I guess Sheridan and IU basketball fans have something in common.....14 years and counting long time ago, but Sheridan football can get back since the kids have access to all those northside facilities I mentioned. Maybe this years starting QB can drive south for weekend skill development at the QB academies that were not there 14 years ago....if mom and pop have the scratch to spend?
  14. Sheridan has not won state since 2007 so not sure why you are singly focused on them...other than the coach not sure they are relevant anymore....my original point was a county such as Bartholomew with thriving industry is a major reason both Columbus schools are ranked top 10 every year, and the withering counties around them will continue to struggle. Another example Floyd Central.....families with money have migrated to the area from Louisvlle....back in the day FC was HHC bottom feeder looking up at current bottom feeders JC and Madison. Obviously the wealthier donut counties along with Indy metro the dominate football programs. Year round access to private coaches, speed/agility facilities...youth programs such IEFA and FBU those aren't available in the more rural counties.
  15. Sheridan is located in the wealthiest county in Indiana....twenty five miles from Indy....not sure about those townships but I can assume many Sheridan residents commute to Indy, Carmel etc for employment....fast forward to today Sheridan has many football/speed/athletic performance facilities to attend if they are willing to pay for the kids sessions....they are not cheap.
  16. follow the money...counties with thriving industry will produce better athletics programs including superior football teams and better developed football players. Take Bartholomew County....if you combined the best players from Jackson, Jennings, Jefferson and Scott Counties to play against Columbus East and North teams..both Bartholomew schools beat the piss out of them with ease.
  17. Add Jennings County to the list....new turf and upgrades not sure it will matter?
  18. "bored to tears"...bro you are a clown...Noblesville and Carmel beat there ass and yes central Indy will beat your ass "for a half" and years beyond..."bored to tears"...still funny as shit....several bus rides since ended with ass kickings so "bored to tears" not working
  19. My man be careful the Noblesville defenders will be coming for you very soon.
  20. 5. Football and Track Center Grove is the model for the 21st Century High School Football Program in Indiana, and for the country as well. The connection between the football and track programs is huge. Northern staffs should look for ways to strengthen their relationship with their respective track programs. Having one HC run both programs is a clear winning formula at CG. Spot on here DT....I will add most of the athletic skill kids in the Indy area do not consider track anymore since 7 on 7 has become the must thing to do. The bigger school track teams will sprinkle in weekend travel meets which will conflict with the 7 on 7 travel schedule. Back in the day the lineman threw the shot/disk and skilled kids ran sprints....those days are on life support.
  21. Not anytime soon...upscale housing in Lebanon not there yet.... Zionsville folks with cash will just transfer junior and drive it.
  22. twitter is taking over the planet....thankfully I didn't have it in the early 80's....the family CB was enough to get me in trouble....talking to truckers such a good time...ugh
