All the schools that remain in HNAC would be 1A in football except Winamac, who just moved up this year. Caston and Culver are under 250 which is about half of Rochester. I define that as significant.

Winamac has for most part always been 2A. Pioneer is now 2A in everything other than football. Rochester is 2A and are in with smaller 1A schools now as pointed out. I wouldn’t see that as a significant difference to them.  The bigger schools in the TRC aren’t exactly overwhelming by any means from a competition stand point vs solid 1A schools

I’d push for North Miami, North White, West Central, or South Central for HNAC. Argos and OD don’t have football and several other sports (wrestling, track).  I doubt Rochester would join as they would be significantly bigger than the schools that remain. Westville is too far from most of the schools

    define “significantly”

not much different than teams in TRC

    Rochester 495

    northfield 275

    Southwood 240

    north miami 287

    winamac 387

    pioneer 313

    triton 258

Not all cardiac events are athletic career ending.
I am still not aware of a definitive answer as to why this happened.

do you believe you will get a definitive answer? And will you honestly believe it when/if you do

  4. Tough spot

Its 3rd q and LSU backup QB in.

They scored on a jet sweep

Doesn’t appear to matter if they run or pass.

LSU will be in the hunt for championship next year as return 18 starters and all 11 on offense.

  5. On the defensive side Jack Kiser came out on top (88.8), yet only played 27 snaps because he typically comes off the field when the Irish put in their nickel package. And only cornerback Morrison has a higher season grade among all of ND’s defensive players, including All-American Foskey.

PFF grades are only one evaluative tool, not necessarily the conclusive one, but Kiser’s consistently strong numbers beg the question: Is he being used enough?

Consider that among all Irish defensive players, middle linebacker JD Bertrand led the team in tackles with 82, followed by Kiser with 58 and starting weakside (will) linebacker Marist Liufau with 51.

But Kiser accomplished his total in roughly half the snaps (332) as Liufau played (646). He also had more tackles for loss and sacks.

The Irish had a 38-31 lead and the ball inside the 10, with the biggest running back in the game in the backfield, and Buchner throws a 100 yard pick six.  That's one of the biggest blunders in many years!

The had the Gamecocks beat and threw the ball right to them!

Still time for a game winning drive!

The blunder was in the play-call

literally running over SC first and goal you call pass??
I don’t believe Freeman has the luxury to wait for Rees to mature as a play-caller.

yes they had 500 yds O but he has 6-7 calls a game you just scratch your head

I've seen some mock drafts with him projected to go first round in 2024....he will have some options once his football career is finished...but that might be a little ways down the road.

    Interesting, I didn't believe you

  8. Kiser is also second on the team in tackles (52). He has 4.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble and 1 blocked punt

Almost forgot he did the above while playing the 15th most snaps of any defensive player for ND 🤷‍♂️

From last night’s All Sports Banquet:

Rockne Student-Athlete Award: Senior linebacker Jack Kiser

Most Notre Dame athletic programs give this award to a player each season. Jack Kiserearned College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District honors this year. He is a grad student in the Mendoza College of Business pursuing a master’s in accounting.

Kiser is also second on the team in tackles (52). He has 4.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble and 1 blocked punt.

He also led ND current senior class in career scoring.

Dont quote me but I believe as for NIL he has deal with Under-Armor and a few others

with his academics looks like he should be ok with life after football.

I'm guessing Kiser won the award in a landslide. It was probably an easy decision:

    • Led Pioneer High School to back-to-back Indiana Class A state championships as a junior and senior
    • In 2018 Pioneer High School went 15-0, 11 victories by shutout, and outscored its opponents, 936-39, including a 60-0 win over North Vermillion in the state finals
    • Recorded 159 tackles, seven interceptions, six forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries as a linebacker
    • Passed for 1,183 yards and 18 TDs, and rushed for 2,109 yards and 44 TDs
    • Career stats: 3,771 passing yards, 59 passing TDs, 7,364 rushing yards, 139 rushing TDs, 37 100-yard rushing games, 9,174 all-purpose yards, 11,257 total yards, 424 tackles, 32 passes defended, 20.5 TFLs, 20 interceptions, nine forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries and two blocked punts

Kiser played Free Safety in HS

    never linebacker.

  11. Certainly didnt hurt his performance week before with 358 yds

I thought MD defense was fantastic. They had a plan to slow Bowen and executed it. To claim injury is a little slap to MD.  I watched Andrean a number of times and while very good team I thought they were better last year and year prior.  Congrats to them on getting back as its never easy to do

also MD QB is really good

@RingLeader#12 for BC is Colin Guy. He played his best game of the year. If he doesn’t make 3 big plays then Lawrenceburg’s offensive line would have deserved to be who everyone is talking about today. Those boys were just road graders.

Ya i knew his name 🤪

3 plays??  Seemed like he made 10-12

    Was everywhere

congrats to both teams! Was a great game really.

I only had time to watc the 1st half. I’m assuming the 2nd half was about the same.  I think the elder Statesmen coaching MD schooled the young Andrean HC. Andrean didn’t look prepared and MD looked prepared for anything Andrean tried doing offensively.

Same two went at it last year and youngster schooled the oldster 🤷‍♂️
