Common Sense has left the building... This looks really accurate as to how the sectionals "should" break down. The only problem with this format is that you have to anticipate HH falling back to 3A next season into 31/32. cant have a 9 team sectional.

Makes little to no sense to put 7 teams in 31, unless the committee believes HH will win sectional 24 next year to stay in 4A. Would the separation have anything to do with Time Zones ?

I believe Memorial would host *IF* they win over GS. MD & SR have now both had home games, while Memorial will have only played on the road. Memorial wins = @ Enlow GS wins = @ MD or SR

I think VL would like to be in the PAC-Big School, but the powers that be in the PAC-Big School are still mad that VL (stupidly) chose to go the SIAC and partner with Jasper 5 years ago!

From my sources: VL voted to be in the PAC in the initial invite meeting, however their was some certain decision makers wanted to keep the "rivalry" with Jasper alive. Thus leading to VL joining the SIAC

North v Castle: I think North will keep this one closer than most expect. However, I will take the Knights and a heavy dose of McCool! Castle 31-14! Boonville v Reitz: This is easy..... West Siders with a running clock by Half! Reitz 49-7 Memorial v HH: Having watched film on both teams, I would say Memorial is the better team. HH has athletes that can play, but it is hard to go against Coach Hurley in the tournament! Give me the Tigers 35-14!!!!!

This will never happen.... BUT, what if the IHSAA assigned the sectionals & schedules and then the teams within those sectional had to play each other for 7 of their 9 games and then the other games were filled with outside games. To me, this is the only logical way to assign seeding for each sectional. Like I stated, this will never happen because football scheduling is a nightmare as it is. Especially with the SIAC being a closed conference. Thoughts?

Hearing Rumors of Postponements to Saturday

Boonville is the caliber of GS? Can anyone weigh in on why did Boonville not want to move to the SIAC?

It could be possible.... when GS moves up to 4A in a couple years (enrollment).... Will the PAC want a school that big? Could GS find a buddy and move to the SIAC? HEADS WOULD ROLL!

I think HH and SR miss playing Jasper because of for a few reasons: 1. Competition... 2. Bragging Rights.... 3. Gate/Concession $$$$$$$$$$$$$

It is dumb that Indiana is even on Eastern time, Indiana is NOT Eastern. The whole state should switch to Central time! its better for sports and watching sports anyways! Farmers and tractors have enough lights and navigational systems that they can work with less natural light for an hour or two! Its about the kids anyways.... right?

This was the pipe dream of the SIAC years ago when the Big-8 folded. If IHSAA requires a seeded format for sectional play, one would think each team will have to play the other teams in their respective sectionals. That would make 7 games from your sectional and 2 non-sectional games. Also, can the season move to 10 games? Thoughts?

If the seeding of the Sectional Tournament becomes a thing, what will happen with conference play? Hypothetically speaking of course!

The southwestern sectional set-up that you mentioned makes to much sense for the IHSAA to actually do this set-up. The IHSAA will try to complicate the sectional alignments!

There isn't an excellent way to break up the 3A South—many clusters with a few outliers. The only thing that will change up the sectionals will be the schools' enrollment numbers. Memorial and Mater-Dei filtered by throwing a wrench into everything, but they stay put. If Bosse drops, it could complicate things. However, it all depends on the fluctuation of 4A & 5A.

Rumor out of the south is that this said player will not be able to be around any team activities until week 3! ... Once again rumors are always false until proven true!

With the conference having legit 6-8 Division one prospects, a number of guys that could play D-2, and NAIA.... is the most prospects that the conference has produced in a single year?

I see that the All-Metro or All-City team was posted... does anyone have a line on the All-SIAC team? When will that be announced or have they even had the meeting yet ? maybe I missed this in reading above, could someone fill me in please! Also, any experts have any projections on the SIAC all conference team/s ??
