  1. Gibson Southern at Owen Valley would be tops in SW Indiana in my opinion.
  2. Lutheran could compete for a 2A title. I also believe that New Pal could contend for the 5A crown.
  3. What would be the final score in a hypothetical match up between 2021 Gibson Southern and 2022 Gibson Southern?
  4. Week 4 Rivalry Week! Let's Go! Brown County at Indian Creek- BC has really fallen on hard times this year. Indian Creek too much offense, too much defense in this match up. Cascade at Cloverdale- It is always nice to celebrate a win. Cloverdale is riding high after their first W since 2019. Cascade is in a rebuild themselves but are a year further in to their rebuild. Coach Simmons and Cascade should have a big day. Covenant Christian at North Putnam- The young Cougars are off to a difficult start. I don't see it getting any better this week. Look for Covenant to put up a lot of points but the Cougars may surprise some on how many points they put up this week. Northview at West Vigo- Going to be a tough one here. West Vigo will fight hard but these programs are on two different levels in terms of their program development right now. West Vigo is trying to build, and Northview is already built as a program. Owen Valley at Edgewood- They play this game for a trophy and pride. This will be Edgewood's biggest game of the regular season. The Patriots have the better roster but do they get caught in a rivalry game looking forward to next weeks match up? Probably not, but it makes for good drama. South Putnam at Greencastle- South's speed vs Greencastle's strength. This will be the best game of the week in the WIC. Can the Tiger Cubs ground and pound game keep that SP explosive offense off the field? Can South Putnam defense hold up to Greencastle's rushing attack? Turnovers and special teams will be the difference here and SP has the advantage there. Sullivan at Linton- Something is just different with the Arrows. This might be the toughest team that they have faced yet this season. Hopeful for a good showing from a WIC team in this game but not too confident it will happen. Sullivan will need to execute their passing game on all cylinders to have a chance.
  5. No game winners or prognostication just some insight. Brown County @ Cloverdale- This is a really interesting match up. Coach Lotz's team does some nice things with their new spread attack. Coach Sample does a great job of schematically attacking defenses. Brown County also does stuff with their defensive front that can be difficult for spread offenses. Greencastle @ West Vigo- Very interesting match up here between coach Clement's offense vs. Coach Meyer's always tough defense. The team that establishes the run game and field position the best will prevail in this game. Side note playing at West Vigo is no joke! One of the more difficult venues to play at as an opposing team. Indian Creek @ Owen Valley- The match up will be Coach Gillian's offense vs. Coach Gibson's defense. The Braves look to be much improved especially on the offensive side of the ball. Both teams play fast and there could be 180 total offensive/defensive plays on Friday. North Putnam @ South Putnam- Watching North Putnam over the summer in person they were very well coached on both sides of the ball. They have a lot of young guys and they are on the rise for sure. South Putnam plays physical and fast. Those boys will hit you. Look for the Eagles run the ball much more this week and find success with Switzer, Crickmore and maybe some designed runs for Mullin. Sullivan at Northview- This has been a very good game in the past. Hopefully both teams are at full strength and the fans see a great game again. What impact will the loss of Coach Powell have on this game? Northview looks to be very stout in the defensive front 7. Will Northview have to be a more balanced run/pass attack on offense to be successful vs. that big Sullivan defensive front?
