  1. I know enough to know that you give your best player the ball! Unless you know the following week you play a team with a common opponent (St Edward) that will affect your playoff seeding.. Maybe you should watch both games before you spout your nonsense about who knows what.
  2. Let’s try this. Jordan Marshall = Best Player VS EC = 15 carries = Not the same VS CG = 40 carries Comparing the 2 games is not apples to apples.. I assume Moeller has a hard time finding games, and EC is a quality opponent. I know CG is having a hard time finding games too, so maybe EC and CG could schedule each other. Would’ve been great to see that game this season!
  3. 15 carries probably is a whole damn game for Josh Ringer because he only has to play a half against the likes of Shelbyville or Greenwood and still gets 200 yds! Still doesn’t change the fact that EC’s strength of schedule is weak. Marshall had nearly 40 carries against CG! If you can’t see that’s not the same don’t know what to tell you! FYI: I think it’s great that EC beat Moeller! Anytime Indiana beats Ohio is a good day!
  4. My bad, but Harrison is just another example of why EC’s schedule is weak! I gave credit to them for beating Moeller, but it’s still not a fair comparison, and you provided the stats for me!
  5. EC’s strength of schedule is terrible and they didn’t play any other Ohio teams. CG was the opposite.
  6. All credit to EC for beating Moeller, but that game meant nothing to them for the playoffs in Ohio. They rested some of their players most importantly Jordan Marshall. He played sparingly in that game. He then had 40 carries in the CG game which did matter for the playoff seeding. Comparing those games is not apples to apples.
  7. I’d have to disagree. Cherry had time to throw, but played poorly. That was easily his roughest game of the season, but not because he was under pressure.
  8. WC Defense was game, but the Offense was inept… Cherry played his worst game of the season, but CG was still able to rest their 2 senior RB’s dealing with injuries and get the win… Should be pretty healthy going into semi state.
  9. After watching Cathedral vs CG I don’t think they have the horses to beat BD but their special teams (onside kick is very good) and BD’s habit of turning the ball over could flip this game in the Irish favor. Still think BD wins by 10.
  10. That was my point! The MiC has dominated because their schools have had more good players or more depth. The HCC is catching up but I’d still give the edge on depth to BD or CG. Both of those teams have had key players miss significant time this year and haven’t skipped a beat.
  11. Because they have Depth! When 1A gets banged up they have a 1B to fill the void..
  12. They do not play a HCC or MIC equivalent regular season schedule. Once the get into the tournament is when that schedule begins. Roncali and Chatard are far from 6A, and although Chatard is always good they would struggle with an HCC schedule because they don’t have the depth. Penn and Lafayette Jeff would be below average too.
  13. Cathedral is evidence to your point. Once they get in the tournament and have to play 6A schools every week their depth becomes an issue. That IMO is why they haven’t been able to finish in 6A.
