For the most part, I think this topic has been fairly tame given the nature of the situation.

Notre Dame doesn't want to play a post Thanksgiving game in South Bend, why would people think its a good idea for a state championship?

Be better. Shake my head.

A lot of layers to this onion. Use common sense.

Any idea what Knox has coming back up front? I know they got some dudes at the skilled positions, but I think they lose some good lineman up front.
Nope.

The winner of the Knox and Tippy Valley game has a shot. They will face each in the new NSC.

Who funded this research? Oh the Chamber of Commerce. Glad they aren't pushing an agenda in this state.

Does anyone know when this year's enrollment numbers will be released by the State?
That last meeting was to be December 13 this past Wednesday. I haven't seen the meeting notes.

How will this impact basketbll and the payments they recieve? WIll all 400 D1 basketball programs be paying athletes?

I currently live in SE Indiana. Talked to 2 AD's that I am close to and neither one of them have any interest in starting it. Cost and finding coaches are the biggest hindrance.

This legislation is a Trojan Horse. It doesn't take an oracle to see the future. This move is disguised as a way to stremline adminastration, but it won't be long before schools are forced to combine again when the state siphons off more money from small communities or passes more legislation to incentivive consolidated schools. The older genaration can tell many sad tales of once striving little burgs that lost their soul when their schools closed and combined 50-75 years ago.

Most of 1A and a lot of 2A schools would change or be removed. Probably say around 40ish football programs would be lost/combined. May need to look at going back to 5 classes.

Don't they wait until the February Count date.

Knox has had a great season, but it looks like the end of the line for them. Next year should be interesting for them. Looking forward to seeing them play Tippy Valley, Jimtown, and Bremen along with LaVille and Glenn. They will bring back a lot of talent.

Coaches don't even have to recruit to stockpile talent, parents and kids aren't dumb. They know where to go.

I don't think so, but it could go either way for them. I think you could make the same argument for LCC as well. Both have beaten who they are supposed to and lost to who they were supposed to. At the time, losing to Peru seemed like a pretty bad loss, but Peru just played Guerin for all 4 quarters and only lost by a touchdown. The only other loss was to Valley and I'm sure you saw first hand the difficulty of a 2A roster trying to matchup with Valley. I don't think their best player even played in the Bremen game. You are definitely correct with area teams being down such as Northfield and Southwood that usually are very tough, but Rochester also beat a Cass team that while they aren't great, are easily in the top half of 2A teams this year. They also handily beat a Maconaquah team that isn't great on defense, but has a very explosive offense that scored 42 in one quarter the other night and Rochester held them to 14 points. I think Rochester had a more consistent team last year, but I think when both are playing their best football, this years team is much better.
Good reply.

Is Rochester a paper tiger? Area teams are not as good as they once were.

What happened to Riley last weekend? I mean Wawasee is bad...
Not as bad as the teams in the NIC South.

4-2 is how I see this week going for conference teams. Fairfield and Wheeler sneaking by Glenn and Bremen. The NIC South was historically bad this year.
-
In 2011 in 2A Andrean was an unbeatable force until they weren't and Wheeler picked them off in sectional. Crazy things happen once the games begin.

Feel bad for TV. Beat season in school history and going home in round 1…likely in blowout fashion.
They have a state title so it is hard to say it is their best season in school history.

Valley would run through it easily.
This year. But if that was a set sectional, it paves the way for a lot of good old fashioned rivalries.

The theoretical 3A Sectional 26 seems like a lot of fun.

From a Jimtown Insider, Coach Stoner had family ties to Fairfield, his father in law coached there.
Knox has talent back for this year, they truth will come out the folllowing years when this group graduates.
LaVille graduates leaders, but has a few pieces in the lower grades.
Bremen has some good seniors in Laidig and Graverson. They may be mid pack. I have no faith in Coach Leeper to increase the numbers, has been an issue for years.
I don't know what to say about Glenn.
Tippy will challenge Knox for the title.
(my views have no value, and are likely to change based on how hungry I am)
