I cannot imagine the IHSAA would allow a switch to help a team host a later game. If so, Memorial should have agreed to play Central at Central this week, which would give us home field for the championship (if we win of course)....

Surely over the course of history a sprinkler somehow mysteriously broke overnight somewhere flooding a field.  😎

edit: barring of course some strange event or a weird desire for either to give HH/Bosse a home game

Not that it will happen this year but wonder if this has ever been done to help a team’s chances of hosting later in the tournament?  I’m assuming it has at some point in the history but I don’t recall.

The punter was supposed to NOT punt to Sigler...LOL.  To keep him from making that mistake we would have been better off to punt out of bounds.   Some believe we should have stayed tempo for one more drive...HH kids were gassed (that came from a HH player).  Big misalignment happened on field goal team.  I could have walked through that gap.  17 year old kids....it wasn't our night.

I heard the difference was all in the videographer!  💪

I don’t think it mattered though what Coach Hart called….and I wouldn’t question it either, the man has had GS with a top flight offense all 10 years as a HC, so if he says we’re kicking the FG, well that’s that and we try to kick a FG lol.   HH had a special team and Sigler was determined…looking back sure it would have been nice to win, but that was HHs year

You're probably right.  And to be clear, I'm not questioning Hart's coaching abilities.  His record since taking over GS speaks for itself.  Every coach and every program has games and calls they wish they had back.  I can think of a few HH games and calls over the years that fall into that category.

Looking forward to Friday!  Doesn't get much better than HS football playoff time!

2019. #3 ranked heritage hills.  GS was ranked #7…but GS dominated that game for 45 minutes and Sigler had like 2 giant punt returns and great runs for TDs in the final few minutes to take a 21-20 lead….and Brady drove all the way down to the like 5yard line and HH blocked the FG as time expired

We were all pretty happy that night seeing Hart settle for a field goal attempt!  I’m sure that’s one of those games Hart wishes he had back. Don’t punt to Sigler twice and don’t settle for a field goal attempt.  But, that’s high school football and our guys never quit.

Yeah we had Scheller….between the 2…offense/defense/special teams….it didn’t matter, could just flat out play

Apparently, I've hit my limit of reactions for the day so I couldn't like your post ... but yes both fun to watch.

Edit: I believe 2014 is when that Crews kid was playing for HH….man was he special.

Yes, Crews was a junior that year and he was special.  GS had a stud DB/receiver too?  I believe I recall comparisons to the two that year.  That HH 2014 season was special.  Went 12-2 after an injury bug plagued 2-8 in 2013.  HH lost 14-6 to Tri-West that year in SS.  Tri-West then beat Andrean at state pretty handily.  Peyton Hendershot was on that Tri-West team with his brother Jake.  Tri-West also had a stud Mac Dutra at DL.

My bad, you are correct.  We did have Southridge at home for the final....we had GS in Ft Branch in the semi final.  The rest of them were away.  Regardless, it was a crap ton of miles.

Yes it was. Roughly 500 miles.  Regional at Lawrenceburg, Semi-state at Danville , then State basically At Chatard.  Great times and great team!

Do you know if there is any update on Blake?  Praying for the best possible outcome.

Below is a public update from yesterday from Blake's mother.  Please continue to keep Blake and his family your thoughts and prayers.

    Day 6 Update

When a new baby is born, parents count ten little fingers and ten little toes and deem them “absolutely perfect”. Over the years, we have watched our “perfect baby” grow into an amazing, determined, strong young man and we now know that 10 fingers and 10 toes are secondary to being a wonderful human being.

Since Blake’s accident, the doctors have been completely upfront and honest with us every single step of the way. Today's surgery made it clear that there wasn't a lower leg left to save and resulted in a below-the-knee amputation. It went as well as we had hoped for considering the circumstances. There will now be several days of wait-and-see time to determine if this will be viable or if an above-knee amputation will be needed. On a happy note Blake has been doing so well we were moved out of the PICU to a regular room late today. We are so thankful for the guidance of his doctors and nurses the continued support of our family and friends, and most importantly the love of our God who has allowed us to keep Blake on this earth for many many years to come. Life is like a box of chocolates and God just handed us a different box to open. We never know what we are going to get, but we are sure that it will be something wonderful.

Heritage Hills High School has had a rough week off the field.

You've got that right!  Tough for the community!  Blake's farming accident, and also lost a member of the senior class (Hailee Houston) from a car accident that happened a couple weeks ago while driving to the football game.  Really puts things in proper perspective.  The Patriots will show up and give it all they have and play for Blake #25.

Came across this on Twitter. Really gets me excited about this game on Friday!

I had to get a ticket for this rematch!  Luckily, for all involved the rain and wind will be out of the area and won't be a factor.  Temps are forecasted to be mid 40's at game time but it is late October so that is expected.  Pulling for the local Raiders, but know the Titans will make adjustments from the first game and this will be a battle!
