  1. I love the EIAC, I think I'm gonna move to St. Leon and raise my family in the shadow of the Skyline.
  2. I won't lie, I was being a bit facetious in the above post. I do think the Pirates are a much tougher team than Jeff was for Warsaw. In the same vein though, Mville is like a bigger, more physical version of Jeff who has been tested a bit better all year than Jeff was. Either Merrillville runs away with it, or the Tigers keep it close and punch their ticket to da Oil.
  3. Last week, Warsaw and Lafayette Jeff had one shared opponent. Warsaw beat Michigan City by more than Lafayette Jeff did. Warsaw beat Jeff. This week, Warsaw and Merrillville have one shared opponent. Warsaw beat Michigan City by more than Merrillville did...
  4. Adams Central (12-1) @ Andrean (9-4) Andrean with a much tougher schedule, although AC mostly handled business except against 3A regional champ Garrett. You'd think Andrean will come in with a size and speed advantage, but don’t count out AC's scheming. A squad that spent recent years in 3A against a squad that spent recent years in 1A. I think this will be fun. Linton-Stockton (11-2) @ Indianapolis Lutheran (12-1) Can Linton defend through the air? That's the key in this one. Lutheran can taste a 4-peat. Both squads played Monrovia and won. Lutheran had no trouble in two attempts and Linton had a bit of trouble but won 22-20 on week two.
  5. I hope he does get more looks, get is immune to armtacklitus. You didn't have to do the extra money but I'm sure the Community Foundation of DeKalb County will be able to put it to good use.
  6. He's quite a terminator. Beefy boy. Getting any college looks?
  7. Well it turned into a score fest so I can't really claim full credit on this one.
  8. Heck of a game, shame a team had to lose tonight. Knox left it all out there and has nothing to be ashamed of. https://cfdekalb.org/
  9. Garrett picks off a desperation heave and it's over. Garrett 41, Knox 40
  10. Garrett picks off a desperation heave and it's over. Garrett 41, Knox 40
  11. 3rd and 7 from their own 37, Knox calls their last timeout. 20 seconds on the clock
  12. Garrett scores perhaps too quickly but fails 2 point conversion. Garrett 41, Knox 40 with ~1:10 to play
  13. Knox scores to go up 40-35. Will be Garrett ball following the kickoff with 2:05 to go.
  14. Garrett 35, Knox 34 with 6:30 left in the game
  15. Hefty keeps it on triple option and takes it 60 yards to the crib on Garrett's first offensive snap. Garrett 7, Knox 0 mid first
  16. East Noble 38, Huntington North 3 7:00 left in 2nd
  17. South Adams 20, North Miami 6 9:00 remaining in 2nd Center Grove 10, Warren Central 0 7:00 remaining in 2nd
  18. Deal! Best of luck!
  19. AC beating Bellmont 70-0 in sectional would be a funny story to tell your father or grandfather.
  20. $10 to the winners charity of choice? I got Garrett and you got Knox?
  21. And now Lutheran and Adams Central are well on their way to being in 3A in 2026.
  22. West Lafayette was down. I picked Knox in that game lol
  23. The strength of schedule is based off of their results against other teams. It's literally just numbers and you know what they say about numbers right? This one seems real personal to ya. I'm not gonna lose any sleep over the results of this game. Hope your son plays well. McLaughlin put up a whole lot of those numbers against a whole lot of stinky Culver, Caston and Winamac teams. I'm not impressed. To many people screaming about bias and not enough people actually putting in the work in this day and age. If you want something to change then do something to change it.
  24. You obviously have no idea how the Sagarin rating works. The Sagarin rating, including the strength of schedule rating, are a dynamic ratings system updated weekly. Griffith literally lost to the only two average or better teams on their schedule. Pioneer just got blown out by Taylor. LaVille is down for them and Jimtown was inconsistent. Garrett beat WN twice, which is hard to do with good teams. Garrett beat Lakeland twice, which is hard to do with good teams. Garrett beat the breaks off of Fairfield who beat CMA who beat Knox. It's close, and I think its gonna be a good game. I could see Knox winning by two scores if things go their way but personally I'm picking Garrett in a close one. It's not as cut and dry as you think it is.
