  1. Like they do grocery stores on the eastern edge of Fort Wayne wearing as much OSU gear as their bodies will hold. Annoying.
  2. Not surprised. I imagine football is more important to those people than Christmas.
  3. Congrats to Kdets. Didn't do so bad yourself Temp. Thanks for putting it together.
  4. Good looking poll. Thoughts on Dwenger beating Carroll head to head? I like the Saints over Decatur Central. This won't go over well, but I think Merrillville could be as high as #10. Not saying you're wrong at #18, but I think a Merrillville/Decatur Central game would be intriguing.
  5. I'd say about as neutral as neutral can get.
  6. My mistake. It will be at Dwenger.
  7. I hardly see IU as the home team. Both teams will get on a bus to travel there and each school will have an equal amount of fans. I like Ohio state to win by 7-14 points. They are loaded with four and five star athletes. Couple that with the fact that they'll be jacked up, I think the less talented Hoosiers will have their hands full. I hope I'm wrong.
  8. Well, yeah. But you know damn well that Roncalli is going to want that opener really bad. I think it will have meaning for those two programs. But you're right, it's the state titles that are remembered.
  9. Dwenger at Roncalli, Week 1.
  10. For what it's worth, betting odds and Sagarin have the Top 11 in almost the exact same order with ND coming in at #2 in Sagarin and #4 betting odds. Sagarin likes Utah at 12, betting odds prefer BYU. Hard to ignore those metrics for the Irish if you're the committee. Betting odds: 1. Ohio State, 2. Indiana, 3. Georgia, 4. Notre Dame, 4. Oregon, 6. Texas Tech, 7. Alabama, 7. Texas A&M, 9. Ole Miss, 10. Oklahoma, 11. Miami. After this the odds go way down for all teams. 12. BYU
  11. They may very well have. At the end of the day though, regardless of bulletin board material or not, this was just two really good teams going at it for a second time this season. Rubber match to open next season.
  12. @Rodney has some pretty good ideas on the topic.
  13. Speaking of rivalry week, does Michigan State feel a bit left out here? Who's their top rival?
  14. Stop this nonsense. Posters in the south piggyback off Indy all the time when the North/South subject it brought to light. Indy is central. Makes the "south" look better than what they are. For instance. The South went 4-2 this year. We know this before the 6A game is even played because the real north doesn't claim any teams from Indy or their suburbs. There's three regions. Indy takes the cake due to the success of the Catholic schools and the massive 6A schools. South beats the north in the lower three classes by a small margin. We all know the North would handle the South in the upper three classes if we add all the teams up. Lol, losing track.
  15. Let's fix this: 5A: Indy 8, North 3, South 1 4A: Indy 4, South 4, North 3 3A: Indy 5, South 5, North 2 2A: South 7, North 4, Indy 1 1A: Indy 4, South 4, North 4 17-15 good for 53%
  16. I guess I'll have to look them up on a map. I guess I just assumed they were "south."
  17. And yes, I do. I root for anyone from the North. Indianapolis gets it's fair share of wins. The north gets it's fair share s***. Why wouldn't I root for the north? Truth be told, it's all the posters on this forum who talk about how bad the north is, that make me root for a team like Andrean vs a team like Brownstown. I have no impact on the game, so no need for me to feel guilty that the Brownstown community didn't get their first state title.
  18. You're not happy, I can tell.
  19. Blasphemy. Snider and Dwenger fans aren't supposed to root for one another. But I think they do in the tournament.
  20. Lol, happens all the time.
  21. In 4 inches of snow? Probably 3-0, flip a coin.
  22. They both did. Dwenger seemed to get better as the season progressed. It's good to see them back. Some were leaving them for dead after the last few years, I was guilty myself.
  23. Thanks for the updates. Wish I could have stuck around for this one, just didn't wanna be stuck in Indy due to the snow storm. Are you referring to "Undoubtedly both teams have improved but Roncalli has by leaps and bounds"?
  24. Not sure how you go from 3-0 to 36-29. So no.
