This is great. More haters today than there were yesterday. If the Irish win the championship next year, as many are expecting, the college football world will lose their minds. Notre Dame derangement syndrome at it's best. Arrogant Notre Dame reaches unfair agreement with College Football Playoff What the hell is this nonsense? It won’t ease the pain this holiday season for Fighting Irish fans, but if the exact same scenario from 2025 plays out, Notre Dame will be in the 12-team College Football Playoff in 2026. ‘Farce And Total Waste Of Time’: Notre Dame Pulls Incredibly Weak Sore Loser Move Amid College Football Playoff Drama) According to Notre Dame athletic director Pete Bevacqua, the memorandum of understanding the Irish signed with the College Football Playoff guarantees the program an automatic berth in the field if it finishes ranked in the top 12, beginning with the 2026 playoff — via Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports. Bevacqua added that Notre Dame would also receive an automatic bid if ranked in the top 13 should the playoff expand to 14 teams. The current memorandum of understanding, however, only applies to 12- or 14-team formats and would not guarantee a spot if the field grows larger than 14. I get so sick and tired of the Notre Dame bias that exists in college athletics, especially college football, it’s sickening. And now it’s so bad that we now have them being the only school with a … playoff clause? What the hell is that? I’m so happy Notre Dame was the first team out of the College Football Playoff this season, couldn’t have happened to a better university.

It's widely accepted that Notre Dame falls somewhere between 1-6. Unless of course you're Paul Finebaum, the governor of Alabama, 90% of SEC country and a few posters on this board whose only aim is to troll this site and antagonize. This really isn't even about the fact that Notre Dame could have won the title this year and now the champion will have an * next to their name. It's about the deception conveyed by the committee leading up to the final day. The CFPS is a "farse and a waste of time" until the final week.

Love seeing you holding hands with @Komets2727, @Bash Riprock, and @Footballking16. I think I should get the Nobel Peace Prize. -

Much appreciated. Had a rather peaceful day. Just came back here for some entertainment. Gee Larry, if that's not the pot calling the kettle black. -

Didn't figure you would.................Moe. Don't worry, I'll step out right after I deem this year's champion illegitimate. I'll stick around until then. -

You're definition if stability is being politically correct? If that's the case, I'll gladly accept my new name. But you have to accept yours..........Moe. -

You know I'm not wrong. Harbaugh makes Pete Carroll look like a Saint. -
That's a sad story. Sorry that happened to you.

I mean, you're not wrong. There's only one Notre Dame. -
Because the CFPS led them on the entire way, then pulled the rug out from underneath them. The players know they are good enough to win the national title, anything less than a playoff appearance is a slap in the face, plain and simple. Kudos to Notre Dame to extending their middle finger to the process. I enjoy listening to College Sports on SiriusXM. Had no idea so many people around the country agree with me that Notre Dame was a serious threat to win the whole thing. Look, the SEC is desperate right now. They've lost two years in a row. Having Notre Dame out just gives them a better shot this year.

Does it have something to do with Florida State winning the championship in 1993 after losing to Notre Dame head to head? Double standard.

I do love how riled up everyone gets over Notre Dame. People who aren't great themselves tend to hate the greatness of others. It's an inferiority complex. -

Betting odds: 1. Ohio State, 2. Indiana, 3. Georgia, 4. Notre Dame, 4. Oregon, 6. Texas Tech, 7. Alabama, 7. Texas A&M, 9. Ole Miss, 10. Oklahoma, 11. Miami. After this the odds go way down for all teams. 12. BYU Anyone who compares Vanderbilt's situation with Notre Dame's loses all credibility. Sure, if I'm Vandy I'm taking the high road and looking good in an interview. That program wasn't led on for weeks by the CFPS the way Notre Dame was. If I'm Notre Dame I'm sticking up for my program at all costs. CFPS.....College Football Playoff Sham. It's widely accepted, unless you're the governor of Alabama, that ND is one of the best teams in the country and had a legitimate shot at winning the whole thing. Notre Dame has the right to be pissed. -

You wishing that upon a kid after they just their heart ripped out of them is pretty telling. I wouldn't worry about these kids Temp. They go to Notre Dame. They've got the world at their fingertips. -

The CFP basically said "screw you" to the kids at Notre Dame. Notre Dame said "screw you" back. Can't hardly blame them. -

Good stuff. At least Notre Dame's kids were given a choice. They're disappointed. Those kids were making plans to win a national championship. They don't want to play BYU. It's insulting. -

There's only three teams that could beat Notre Dame right now. BYU isn't one of them. -

Much better with Notre Dame out of the way. Like I said, it's really unfair to the Hoosiers that they'll never even know if they're the best team in their own state. Notre Dame checks off all the boxes. Anyone with an IU over 68 can see that. Honestly? I'm trying to get banned. So don't take offense dickhead. -

I'm not buying a lot of things. Like IU blowing through this field for a national title. Not happening. -

This is Notre Dame, not IU. Those kids don't want to play BYU. They want Georgia. The kids are hurting right now just as much as the administration. There's no interest other than matching up with the country's best.
