  1. Honest question. Wouldn't you rather call yourself champions having had to go through Notre Dame? We all know there's something missing in this playoff.
  2. You know you lost when you start poking at grammar.
  3. Enlighten us. What have they become? Just looking for reasons to bring them down to your Wolverine's level? You are relentless, I'll give you that.
  4. In general. Any year is fair game.
  5. Notre Dame is above any of those silly bowls they would have been invited to. You call it quitting, I call it a simple "no thank you, not wasting our time on anyone not named Ohio State or Indiana." There's a 60% chance you're right. We'll see.
  6. I'll admit that their final games weren't exactly murderer's row. Many were touting Pittsburgh, a Top 25 team at the time, a pretty good team until Notre Dame waxed them. But that happens every year. USC is pretty good..........Notre Dame waxes them.....guess not. At the start of the season, there's normally a few Top 25 teams on their schedule until Notre Dame knocks them out. At the end of the day, the committee put a lot of emphasis on the eye test...............until the final ranking. Everyone knows Notre Dame is one of the best teams in the country. I'm not going to spend hours on end on this forum trying to justify it every time you hit me with another question.
  7. It's exhausting. I'll be taking a break.
  8. Spin it how you want Temp. You know ND is top five, you're just here to ruffle feathers.
  9. Getting embarrassed by Georgia in the championship game isn't a very good look for a playoff team that is "improving."
  10. Not sure how long I can last as a fan in this environment. Maybe take up hiking or fishing to occupy my time.
  11. Actually, Texas Tech is all over talk radio. Everyone seems to like them. But you're right, when they win, they look good doing it.
  12. IU goes 12-0. But really, they're not going to beat Ohio State for the Big Ten Championship, right? Fast forward to 13-0. Okay, they got it done, but just barely. These teams in the playoffs are LOADED with four and five star kids. Certainly they don't have it in them to run off three more games. I dunno, that's just where I'm at. But hey, guys who are a lot smarter than me (Saban and Meyer), think pretty highly of these Hoosiers. Was it Meyer who said this IU team is the most fundamentally sound football team he's ever seen?
  13. I think Daley is a big loss.
  14. Pop Tarts Bowl..............lol.
  15. IU has more living alumni than anyone else in the country. That equates to donors. Which equates to "we can compete for players." Couple that with the best coach in the country, fans better get used to Indiana being at the top.
  16. Agree. Bowl games just need to go away.
  17. Ohio State 30% Notre Dame 30% (had they not got screwed by ESPN) Indiana 20% (injury bug, otherwise 30%) Georgia 20% Rest of the field 0% Notre Dame was a 5.5 point favorite. Case closed.
  18. Don't even go there. Oklahoma fans are pissed that they have to beat this team for a third time. The Tide getting in is a joke. You know this Temp, you just enjoy the debate. Trust me, I'll find other things to debate with you to scratch that itch, just admit that Notre Dame is better than Alabama. You know in your heart that they are. You're just pushing buttons.
  19. And Notre Dame is better this year, lol. I've been saying for the last seven weeks. NO ONE wants to play Notre Dame right now. With the injury to IU's D lineman, I've got Notre Dame and Ohio State in a deadlock as the favorite to win the whole thing.............that's if Notre Dame didn't get bamboozled.
  20. I consider conference championships, money making machines, regular season. Bama had an opportunity to showcase themselves only to prove they don't belong with the best. Had they lost by 7 or 10, they'd have a case. They were humiliated shortly after barely beating Auburn. Don't give me this rivalry bull crap. Bama barely beat them because they are barely better than them.
  21. His favorite poll agrees.
  22. Good grief, you're gonna make me work tonight. Sure, they upset Georgia several weeks ago, but when it mattered most, the Bulldogs woke up and and embarrassed the Tide. At the end of the day, two embarrassing regular season losses equate to 0% chance of winning the whole thing. So why not give a team like Notre Dame, who played lights out for ten weeks an opportunity?
  23. Will need a signature for that.
  24. You can slice it however you want. The consensus around the country, minus the State of Alabama, is that Notre Dame should have been in and the Tide should have been out. Alabama is in for one reason only..........ESPN.
  25. Well, they got the decision right from a character standpoint at least. No more Johnny Football's.
