Yeah, but didn't ND go all the way to the championship last year? Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought they they ran the table after falling asleep against the worst team on their schedule and beat Georgia and Penn State in the playoff. Help me out here. Maybe my memory is failing me.

If you've been paying attention, you'd know that Notre Dame isn't in the playoff because the SEC is in bed with ESPN. There are five teams from that conference and and Notre Dame would be favored against all of them with the exception of, possibly, Georgia. What Alabama wants, Alabama gets. Miami? Deserving. As Nick Saban said. Something needs to change and Notre Dame is easily one of the Top 12 teams in the country. Those who really know football are livid that schools like James Madison and Tulane are in, while a program like Notre Dame, even Texas, is left out. But it's really not even about that. The CFPS strung the Irish players along for weeks, only to pull the rug out from underneath them in favor of a lessor program..........Alabama. Look, I know you hate the Irish, but the kids at IU are not different that the kids at Notre Dame. What happened to them was just plain wrong.
-
Or if the SEC wasn't in bed with ESPN?
-
Eleven months to go.
-
Well, probably not since IU is the #1 seed. But if it were anyone outside, IU, Ohio State, or Georgia, I'd yeah, perfect idea.
-
Yeah, I feel for the kid, sincerely. He probably feels the same way as the entire Notre Dame football team. #ESPNsucks

I think the young lady's moral compass should be investigated. She wasn't forced to have sex. She could have said something. She could have left. I understand that I know little of the situation, but something drove Moore to his insanity. And it probably had nothing to do with this young lady being 100% truthful. Again, no job is worth compromising your values. Again, this is from the outside looking in. I hope both individuals find peace.

Round 1: Notre Dame Battles Sooners for 7pt Win in Norman Round 2: Injury Plagued Defensive Line gets Hammered by Notre Dame Run Game: Irish Advance Round 3: Texas Tech's Valiant Effort Comes up Short: Notre Dame Returns to Title Game for Rematch with Ohio State (next year would have been three years in a row) Championship: Defense Shines as Carr and Love Propel Irish to National Title: Statue to be Erected in Freeman's honor Sidenote: Miami is playing with a chip on their shoulder. Nothing would surprise me with this team. Very deserving of a playoff bid. Alabama, ESPN, and the SEC are a farce.

Good stuff: Of course we shouldn’t penalize Alabama for getting blown out in its CCG—the ESPN owned SEC makes ESPN more money! Of course we should penalize BYU for getting blown out in its CCG. The Big 12 won’t make ESPN more money! Of course the Big 12 is only a 1 bid league! And even better—penalizing BYU means we can make an excuse to swap Notre Dame (for which ESPN doesn’t own the rights) for Miami (for which ESPN DOES own the rights). Result: ESPN can better line its own pockets and invest in its own product. And posters think I'm on an island all by myself: ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips called for CFP expansion after Notre Dame was left out: "If you’re leaving teams out of the Playoff that could win a national championship, then you don’t have the right number." This season screams * . I don't think IU is going to win the title, so I can proudly say I'm going to run this into the ground for the next twelve months. Side note: This isn't near as much about Miami as it is about Alabama. Notre Dame would crush that program by 14+. And they were already 5.5 point favorites going away against Oklahoma. Only irrational people think Irish fans shouldn't be pissed.

Hello McFly, anyone home? First Big 10 Championship since 1967, first outright since WWII. And they shouldn't celebrate?
-
Love the swipe at the SEC.

Honestly? If I'm a QB, I'm not sure I'd want to play for Kelly. He was always touted as a developer of QB's, but I felt like he ruined more QB's than he helped. I dunno, maybe I'm wrong.
-
You said they were Top 5. I said they're the favorite. Why would OSU have an asterisk last year? The Michigan game was a one off. Anyone in their right mind knows that Michigan couldn't possibly run the table last year. No clue. I just know you're good for one post after I fall asleep at 9. I think he'd do pretty well at Michigan.
-
Correct, this year's champion will have an asterisk next to them. You're smart, you know the path is easier without the Irish in it. You even touted them as a Top 5 team. Short memory? It wasn't 8 hours, I'm pretty sure it happened in a span of 2 hours. Funny you're the only one complaining. I don't seen @Footballking16 or @Komets2727 getting their panties in a wad over it. And I'm not surprised, those are tough dudes. If your wife is so damn good looking, why do you spend so much time on here with me? Sorry, that was below the belt.

Lol, insanity? Notre Dame got screwed by our good friends from ESPN and the SEC. Any reasonable person knows that. Most of the 8 million Irish fans felt the same way I did. As I already stated, the Irish were probably on their way to a national title, which wouldn't have been in the best interest of the five teams from the SEC who made it in. Didn't you see Paul Finebaum and the governor of Alabama high fiving after the announcement? Now, if you were to claim Sherrone got screwed? You'd be one in 6 million. I'd personally see to it that you get committed before you hurt yourself or somebody. I gotta hand it to you. I keep telling myself I'm done with this conversation, and you keep pulling me in. Kudos. And if they get Brian Kelly?
-
Probably shouldn't throw stones from a glass house.
-
@Rodney Was thinking of adding seven or eight more Notre Dame banners to my signature. Thoughts?
-
Hmmm, gotta hear this. On what grounds?
-
I think he's loyal to Notre Dame and probably wouldn't want to be anywhere else. He knows he has a national championship team next year and is just one season away from having a statue put up in his honor. Hell, this year's team probably would have won the title. I think he has that itch to get it done and remain the Irish coach. That being said, isn't being a coach in the NFL much less complicated? Can't say I'd blame him.
-
Lol. Nice little threat.
-
The topic? Sure I care about the topic. What football fan wouldn't? I don't care what Michigan's reasons were for firing him. It's none of my business. Of course you can care about the student athletes. What's your point? . The only thing I know with certainty is that you care about and crave "meltdowns", you made that public. And you just got a massive one from your favorite team. Like I said, must be a good week for you. As for Moore? As Mitch Albom stated, I'll wait for the investigation to play out before throwing stones at the guy. All we know right now is that: A: He has mental issues. I hope he rights that ship. Mental illness is a serious thing that no one should be burdened with. B: There's someone else involved in that inappropriate relationship. Hopefully that person is okay.

I was pissed and had the balls to express myself. You reacted no different than the other six million plus Michigan fans. You're not going to win any awards. I stand by my reaction, the reaction of Marcus Freeman, and the reaction of the AD. Four days later I still think the way the committee handled things is a complete sham. You're on a role. Maybe making plenty of new friends in the process. Good for you. I disagree. That Ohio State game had nothing to do with his firing. He actually did a pretty good job during his tenure as head coach. One of two things happened. 1. Someone wanted him gone. Now he's gone. Had nothing to do with the Buckeyes, he was 1-1 against them. 2. Michigan's moral compass is so high, he would have been fired had his name been Meyer, Cignetti, or Saban. Either way, I don't care. I'm neither here nor there when it comes to the University of Michigan. I honestly don't think they knew of Harbaugh and Moore's character flaws when they hired them. Bad luck.
-
What Michigan fan in their right mind WOULDN'T be embarrassed. Let's not pretend that you sit on some sort of a pedestal. Lol, good grief.
-
Good read, Mitch Albom hits the nail on the head.
-
Again..........."This is the meltdown I am here for," tells me all I need to know about you. Any morsal of respect I had for you is out the door. I may have called FootballKing a couple of names, but I'd never wish anything but the best for his personal life in spite disagreeing about football............even yours for that matter. Same with Moore, I feel for whatever this man is going through and wish him only the best. But you? You said it yourself. You're here for the meltdowns and controversies. What happened yesterday doesn't even compare to what happened on Sunday. My anger was shared with 8.21 million other Notre Dame fans. I can't imagine even ONE of the 6.26 million Michigan fans condoning Moore's actions and not being embarrassed about it..........not even you. Certainly doesn't qualify you as "level headed."
