  1. You’re knowledgeable too. Which is why deep down you know ND can beat anyone. You’re in denial because you don’t like them. At least you give them their due credit in 1991. Same. I know you well enough that if you disagreed with me, you’d say so. You’re absence tells me that you think I’m right.
  2. Because you have a bias against ND that you’ve expressed in prior posts. It’s how they’ve dismantled everyone in their path since making adjustments after week two. Vegas has them at #4. They must be decent, right. I don’t know about you, but I have a losing record versus Vegas. I’ll just take their word for it. Well, yeah.
  3. So HOW you beat teams only applies to Indiana? Remind me again why your opinion on this topic has any relevance. Like FootballKing, your disdain for the Irish over the years renders your opinion useless on this topic useless. Lol, this just keeps getting better.
  4. Yet you hate Notre Dame and not Indiana when the fan bases are identical. Lol, love bantering with you.
  5. Tells me all I need to know. Good luck to your Hoosiers. IU basketball = ND football. Love the double standard though.
  6. I don’t put any stock into anything you say regarding Notre Dame. You never liked them, plain and simple. I’ll never make any sense of a Cathedral supporter/Notre Dame hater. But you’re living proof that they are out there. At the end of the day, the committee’s job is to pick the best 12 teams right now. Not who were the best 12 teams three months ago. Notre Dame’s loss to Miami three months ago is better that Miami’s two losses against SMU and Louisville. EVERYTHING matters, right? Too bad head to head didn’t matter when Bobby Bowden won his first title.
  7. Not 2019 LSU, but certainly capable of winning this whole thing. Bigger hurdles in my opinion would be playing Indiana in Bloomington and Ohio State on a neutral field. I’m on board with SP+. I also think the committee is stuck between a rock and a hard place. They know the Irish are Top Six, it’s just hard to put them there in this current format. Lesson of the day. If you want the right to be called champions, don’t lose two games. Is what it is. I just think it would be a tragedy for a program like Notre Dame sitting at home watching Tulane get trounced.
  8. It’s not just me Temp. Analysts, radio show hosts, tv personalities…….Vegas! Your beloved Sagarin. Just say it Temp, they look really good. Even Saban said their defense is much better than they were in weeks one and two when they lost by 4pts to two other Too 12 teams. I haven’t been this confident in a ND team since Lou Holtz. But hey, I get it. Losses matter.
  9. No clue? Well, I’m pretty sure it’s the two losses. I get it, win. Plain and simple. Just pointing out that ND being left out would be a blessing for everyone else. No one wants to play them right now.
  10. They're a national brand, not limited to conference. Won't ever happen. And the money they get from NBC offsets anything they'd get through conference affiliation. Again, Notre Dame being left out would be music to everyone's ears. IU doesn't want ND in the first round, they just don't. Or round two, whatever you want to call it.
  11. I guess just schedule a sit down with the ND AD and and explain that to him. "This isn't hard," lol.
  12. I've been saying for a long time that Mike Tomlin needs to go. They have three playoff wins in the last 14 years. This is the Steelers organization we're talking about here. I wouldn't trust Tomlin at Penn State. If he can't win with the talent he's had in Pittsburgh, why on earth would be be trusted at Penn State. NO CHANCE of Penn State going that route.
  13. There's just no one out there. Manny Diaz is the best bet? Good grief. I'm getting on the phone, calling Kelly, and hoping the fans don't lynch me before Kelly has a chance to return Penn State to a 10-win program.
  14. Good grief, really? You hire Diaz and I'll hire Kelly, lol. Good luck.
  15. Seems to be at the moment. I think the risk in firing Franklin was the hope they could land Cignetti. Everything backfired.
  16. Personally, I think the committee felt pressure to rank Alabama ahead of Notre Dame. My money would be on Notre Dame if they were to play head to head. It sucks for SEC fans. Notre Dame better than Bama. B1G on a two game championship streak. My apologies to anyone from the south, but times are changing. Level playing field for all. Can't ignore who ND's losses were to. Can't ignore when they were. Can't ignore what Vegas thinks of ND. Can't ignore what Sagarin thinks of ND. The Irish being excluded would be a tragedy. But on the bright side, IU won't have to worry about facing them in the second round. Again, no one wants to play ND right now. It's just difficult because they are a bubble team and one of the best teams in the country at the same time. Not really anyone's fault. Just need to go to 16 teams I guess if we're going to put teams like Tulane in the playoff, lol.
  17. Love that people hate Notre Dame for not joining a conference, apparently you included. For that reason alone, I hope they don't. Every year ND knocks at least one or two of their opponents from the Top 25. Then people say, "Notre Dame didn't play anyone in the Top 25," lol. This year it was Pittsburgh. Tell me, who in the SEC waxed Arkansas with the same dominant force that Notre Dame did? Notre Dame did it at Razorback Stadium and got their coach fired in the process. The USC win was a good one. In fact, had USC scheduled a lessor opponent than ND, they'd be in the Top 12 conversation. ND beat USC with about the same precision that Oregon did. Not sure where I said "easily" the best two loss team, but I may have. But their two loss resume is more impressive than anyone else's two losses. Alabama lost to Florida State for crying out loud. Miami lost to Louisville and SMU. Damn, ND lost to A&M and Miami by a total of 4 points. One of those losses came from a botched extra point. Let's not pretend that ND can't beat anyone in the SEC. Let's not pretend that they can't be Oregon.
  18. As much as the committee wants Notre Dame in the playoff, knowing they are one of the better teams, they may not have the gonads to put them in front of Miami since Miami beat them by a field goal three months ago. Compare ND's losses to any team in the field with two losses. How do they stack up? That being said, ND should EASILY be the highest ranked two loss team. Couple that with blowing out everyone else on their schedule, you're left with the #2 team in the country according to Sagarin. I'll forever consider this year's champion as illegitimate if they don't go through the Irish in the process. No one can deny it the way Notre Dame is playing. Can't say the same for Alabama or Miami.
  19. I get what you're saying, shouldn't have lost two games. It's just a hard decision for the committee. They know ND is one of the top six teams in the country, they just don't want to cause anarchy by saying it. Too much influence from the SEC. Again, Las Vegas says they are fourth best. I tend to trust Vegas since I lose to them all the time. The real problem is the automatic qualifier for a Group of Five program. Think about this for a second. Tulane gets in, leaving a program like ND or Miami out. Let that settle in. That's a problem.
  20. This is getting embarrassing. Some one tell me, seriously, why this program shouldn't go after Brian Kelly. If not, then who?
  21. Hence............"they had a very good team this year."
  22. How will the committee justify Miami bumping ND after neither team play this weekend? That would be hard to explain, lol. As it sits right now, IU would host Notre Dame in the first round after ND beats A&M. Bad scenario for the Hoosiers. Not picking on IU here, but no one wants to play the Irish right now. The committee sees this. Not a team in the country passes the eye test better than Notre Dame right now outside of Ohio State and Indiana. Does anyone in their right mind really think Oregon would beat ND? The Irish vs Bama would be a dream come true matchup for me in the first round. All this talk about which team is better, lets find out.
  23. Agree, they had a very good team this year when healthy. They just haven't won the title since all of the rhetoric out of that community a few years ago..........."everyone is afraid to play us." It's been three years now. How many more years do you think Eric Moore will continue to go? There's no guarantees when the head coach calls it quits.
