  1. Hmmm, that was quick. Or they just knew this was coming all along. Knew not to fire their coach until they had another one lined up................unlike Penn State.
  2. Rodney's in the house 🙂
  3. Damn, this is ugly. "The City of Saline Police Department assisted in locating and detaining former University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore. Mr. Moore was turned over to the Pittsfield Township Police Department for investigation into potential charges."
  4. You're way off the mark on Kelly. The only argument you could make is that maybe he's past his prime. He's won everywhere. Put Notre Dame back into relevance after three others failed. That's saying a lot since one of the criteria to play at Notre Dame is being an actual student.
  5. Good grief. Michigan just can't catch a break these days.
  6. I honestly don't think so. Win or lose a couple weeks ago, someone didn't feel like he was the right one for the job. Kelly is the best available option right now. No doubt about it. And you know what? He'll probably do well.
  7. I was one of the only ones who didn't blow you smoke over defending one of the shadiest characters in football. I say what's on my mind, but I don't hit below the belt.
  8. Nah, that was just me being authentic.
  9. And I hope like hell it happens.
  10. Mike Tomlin. They need someone without character issues. And the Steelers need a fresh start.
  11. You said it, not me.
  12. As always, I'll be authentic. Law of averages tells us that 50% of head coaches, 50% of assistant coaches, and 50% of media types are cheating on their spouses. Moore was an easy target because someone at Michigan or associated with Michigan wanted him gone. Does anyone think Indiana would fire Kurt Cignetti if he was having an inappropriate relationship? The answer is "no." As Charles Barkley would say, "I may be wrong, but I doubt it."
  13. I don't recall Justin Wynn sharing time defending Samardiza, but I'll take @Justasportsfan's word for it. I just remember the media making a big deal out of a 5'8" (Kevin King maybe) kid who spent much of the night defending him. Regardless, I acknowledge Samardiza as one of the great players to come out of the state, I just didn't get to see much the one time I saw him in person.
  14. Interesting finding after researching players ranked in the Top 10,000 prior to 1980. The 1980 rule absolutely hammers the northwest. Not surprised: Indy Metro: 25 Fort Wayne: 10 Lafayette: 3 Surprised: South Bend/Mishawaka/Elkhart: 1 Region: 2 Evansville: 1 Chatard (1) compared to Cathedral's (8). That's not a typo, Cathedral has 40% of Indy Metro's representation.
  15. Probably a moot point, although you're right. Early projections are calling them a Top 3 team. Talk about waking a sleeping giant. The sham that took place on Sunday will propel team to heights next season that will make the haters lose their minds. My only concern next season is the schedule and whether it will prepare them for the playoff.
  16. Good stuff. Might be able to use that for some interesting off season topics.
  17. Same thing, lol. But yeah, now that I think about it, it was Wayne. For some reason it's easy to get the two confused :).
  18. Seems like it. Fans from all 50 states calling for Notre Dame to join a conference. Fans from all 50 states upset with Notre Dame's new contract with the CFPS. Sounds like an obsession with me. No other team gets this kind of attention.
  19. It's not what I think, it's what everyone else thinks. Haven't won in 40 years, yet everyone is still obsessed with them.
  20. His team hammered Snider his junior year. I wasn't present for that game. His senior year ended at Spuller going up against a 5'8 DB who held him to zero catches. The snow in the second half may have had an impact. That was the only time I saw him at the high school level. Saw him plenty at Notre Dame though, fun to watch.
  21. Lymon had the world at his fingertips, NFL talent all the way. What a shame. I don't believe Goodman and Kelly had a good relationship. I think John would have prospered at IU.
  22. The only time I saw him was the last game of his high school career where he was held to zero catches. John Goodman and Sewlyn Lymon are at the top of my list. Those two looked like men among boys at the high school level.
  23. He's going to argue with you regardless.
  24. This is great. More haters today than there were yesterday. If the Irish win the championship next year, as many are expecting, the college football world will lose their minds. Notre Dame derangement syndrome at it's best. Arrogant Notre Dame reaches unfair agreement with College Football Playoff What the hell is this nonsense? It won’t ease the pain this holiday season for Fighting Irish fans, but if the exact same scenario from 2025 plays out, Notre Dame will be in the 12-team College Football Playoff in 2026. ‘Farce And Total Waste Of Time’: Notre Dame Pulls Incredibly Weak Sore Loser Move Amid College Football Playoff Drama) According to Notre Dame athletic director Pete Bevacqua, the memorandum of understanding the Irish signed with the College Football Playoff guarantees the program an automatic berth in the field if it finishes ranked in the top 12, beginning with the 2026 playoff — via Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports. Bevacqua added that Notre Dame would also receive an automatic bid if ranked in the top 13 should the playoff expand to 14 teams. The current memorandum of understanding, however, only applies to 12- or 14-team formats and would not guarantee a spot if the field grows larger than 14. I get so sick and tired of the Notre Dame bias that exists in college athletics, especially college football, it’s sickening. And now it’s so bad that we now have them being the only school with a … playoff clause? What the hell is that? I’m so happy Notre Dame was the first team out of the College Football Playoff this season, couldn’t have happened to a better university.
  25. It's widely accepted that Notre Dame falls somewhere between 1-6. Unless of course you're Paul Finebaum, the governor of Alabama, 90% of SEC country and a few posters on this board whose only aim is to troll this site and antagonize. This really isn't even about the fact that Notre Dame could have won the title this year and now the champion will have an * next to their name. It's about the deception conveyed by the committee leading up to the final day. The CFPS is a "farse and a waste of time" until the final week.
