Running the same system since 2014 ourselves, I can tell you for teams seeing it for the first time, there is that concern among their respective coaching staffs. For us, its important to jump up early on teams who haven't seen before before they settle in.
Tackle everyone and let the refs sort out who had the ball.

IMO, we will learn more about GS than HH this Friday. This was an even matchup a year ago in the sectional semis. We know both teams are fundamentally sound, won’t beat themselves. But if GS is truly above the rest like Memorial was the past two seasons, they should win going away. Not a knock on HH at all, but a rather a testament to GS expectations.
Who is saying GS is above the rest? The AP poll has HH at 3rd and GS at 5th. The coaches poll has GS at 3rd and HH at 4th. All the prediction tools have this game within 3 points. This game could very easily come down to a one score game between 2 of the best teams in the state.

Looks like the predictor tool and CalPreps both have Heritage Hills as a 3 point favorite.
Heritage Hills (71.3) is a 3-point favorite (1.54-point home-field advantage) against Gibson Southern (69.67)

I would like to better understand "how 28 got drawn" - probably just my ignorance, but it seems there is an implication here....
Just be thankful that Evansville Memorial moved up a class or they would have put them in that sectional too.

Agree with Lysander. Chatard, including coaches, seemed off/flat. Southport was without several weapons and the QB would have been a difference. Although, the back up did quite well. There is not a lot to read into the Southport game....other than a win.
Agree with Titandad - sectional 28 is gonna be tough.
How is 32 shaping up? Gibson Southern was touted at the beginning of the year, but Heritage and Southridge appear to be having great seasons. That sectional looks to also be tough
I am not sure I would pick a favorite yet for 32. Heritage Hills, Southridge and Gibson Southern are all really good teams and 1-4 Bosse looked really good against Memorial this past week. I would say it is very much up for grabs at this point.

My guess is Princeton is counting down the days to basketball season. I don't see them winning another game this year.

Whatever you do.....don't bring a tiger on a stick!
That has been going on since the 80's. It's amazing how it is just now a problem.

Isn’t that 1984 guy on here kinda a Princeton fan? or maybe Vincennes.
I thought Vincennes.
Nothing on here but you can bet Facebook and Twitter will blow up tonight saying how awful the GS fans are.

This thread was over ten pages a couple years ago....can we get there by game time?
I am not sure I have seen a Princeton fan on here since then.

Maybe they are trying to help out some of the schools that have struggled. Look at sectional 30. Someone will come out of there with a title that they haven't had in at least 13 years. A lot longer than that if Lincoln doesn't win it.

Here's the clip of the "illegal hit": https://twitter.com/BradNix11/status/1172980059960987648?s=20
I don't see anything dirty about it at all. Sure he was a little high and if that warrants a flag then so be it, but I don't think it was a cheap shot or dirty. The QB was trying to tight rope the sideline and took a shot for his troubles.
I am not going to get into it whether it was a cheap shot or not. I have my own opinion based on other activities #1 did that day but I will leave it there. 10 years ago, that was a great hit but whether we like it or not, the game has changed, and kids must be taught to hit low and stay away from the head or get penalized for it.

I think it is pretty accurate for Boonville

I’m also going to look up Lincoln County School District’s after school info. I’m fairly certain they have activities buses, and they are the size of Massachusetts.
I am sure if you would want to donate your time to drive the kids in Pike county to and from practices they wouldn't mind.

IMHO it takes a community to build a good football program. Lots of hours from selfless people building and maintaining a good youth program. You have to build football players. If you rely on raw talent, you may have a few good years here and there but nothing sustainable.

Not a lot of talk about this game. Does GS stand a chance against a 3-0 6A team?

"Maybe they dominate in a lot of "non marquee" sports...but in football, wrestling, basketball, and baseball, they ain't winning the PAC most years."
If that's what they want, then touche I guess. I didn't think it made a ton of sense economically either. Just stating my opinion on the matter.
Maybe if it doesn't work out for them they can come join the PAC SED.

Oh you mean the back-to-back state finalist Memorial? Yeah, probably are that much better than everyone.
I didn't mean that to be a dig at SR or at Memorial. I know they are both good. IMO Jasper is a better team then they showed in week 1 and are getting better every week. I guess we will find out this week.

Jasper played a great game against Booneville and beat the snot out of them that's for sure. But I think that was the same Jasper team that played SR too. SR is better than Booneville plain and simple AND Jasper is heads and toes better than Booneville. Si I think the real million dollar question is this: How good is Booneville really???
That same team also played Memorial. Is Memorial that much better than everyone?

It also isn't going to impact 99% of the people. It's really just designed to prevent students from each school getting into it, which happens semi-frequently especially if you have schools in close proximity to one another.
Really? I can't remember ever seeing that happen in southern Indiana.

Not trying to disagree to just disagree but:
Booneville or Tell City
Princeton or North Posey
Mt. Vernon or South Spencer
Washington or Pike
Was just trying to say that even though the teams may not be powerhouses by any means it stills seems like better competition IMO
Ho lord I hate to say it but I agree with 74.

Couldn't have said it better, where as if Pike were to happen to shock the conference I am sure they would be very happy as a community!! Ala 1986!!!!!
Wasn't that the only year their record was above 500?

I understand by enrollment Pike was the one to move..........but since looking purely at the competitive aspect coupled with the fact that SR is already close to 3A in enrollment......I would vote for SR to move up.
I agree with you but I thought that SR was the ones that wanted to be in the SED. I could be wrong but I thought I read that somewhere on here, just too lazy to look it up.
