Are the Southport and Columbus North games just 2 years or will they be longer?

Not sure about Columbus North but Southport is a 4 year deal starting this year.

    13 sectionals/ 7 for Hurley

    9 regionals/ 4 for Hurley

    4 SS/ 4 for Hurley

    1 State Title.  Hurley.

Obviously I left off mythical crap.

I will sit patiently and wait for you to post the history of Titan football. Please go back past 2012.

Sorry Screagle. I really didn't mean that as a dig towards your team. I guess it is nice to give recognition to some of the oldest football schools in the state but it is really apples to oranges. The only way to truly measure the winningest teams in Indiana is by W/L percentage just because of how long schools have been playing. Just for the record, Memorial has a better W/L percentage out of them and GS.

Amazing how both the PAC thread and SIAC threads can quickly get derailed.

Best of luck to the Titans and Tigers tonight.

My biggest ? - with the running clock, will the beer in Fort Branch have proper amount of time to get cold?

    😀

Come on Oldtimeqb, the clocks runs after half every year, regardless of the new rule.  Brews have seemed to have stayed cold in previous years, so I wouldn't expect any big changes in that department this year.

I know the scores have been pretty lopsided in recent years but I have nothing but respect for the Forest Park program. No matter what the score is their kids give it everything they have until the last play of the game and never anything dirty. A pure class program. I hope the new PAC structure will benefit you guys so you can contend for some small school PAC titles. Best of luck to the Rangers tonight and in the future.

What on earth are you talking about???  There WERE some good opponents last year in the conference, you know it too  It's unfortunate that top to bottom the conference is down, but the answer isn't jumping ship either!!  No one is talking about banners on this thread.  Not sure why you would bring something like that into this, but since you did I will reply.....YES high school athletes appreciate conference titles, and so should their communities  ESPECIALLY when said title means you beat one of the best teams in 2A and one of the best teams in 3A.  Was the post season a little disheartening for anyone in Patriot Nation, you bet (rhetorical question)  But the PAC conference does not hamper your post season ability, it puts county rivals, and schools less than 10 miles apart on the same field.  It gives smalls schools the chance to beat a state contender.  That's what the PAC is.........So if you all really don't like competing in the conference and the banners, then I am not sure what to tell you.

And one last thing.....if you can't take some playful, tongue in cheek banter about your school then shame on ya.  There is not a person in Spencer County that doesn't have September 27th circled and for good reason, coupled with knowing the sectional is going to be a dog fight.

    What's September 27th?

Or an even better question........why didn't GS get accepted into the SIAC ????  I mean since they are so tired of playing in the weak PAC???  Inquiring minds want to know!!

Was last year fun for you to watch? You rolled through the PAC with a 46 point margin of victory average over all the PAC teams. Were those exciting games for you? How well did that prepare you for the sectionals? But at least you have another banner to hang on the wall.

So let me get this one straight.......when the Gridiron public is patting GS on the back, telling you how great you are, throwing rose petals at your feet during a victory parade for a game yet to be played......then everything is just fancy???  But one some one has a little fun, and tries to bring some humor into the conversation (I mean the Mowgli thing was funny), then it's drama and you all get your feelings hurt because we're not playing nice????  Is this right??

GOOD!!!  No wonder Chatard, Guerin, and Brebeuf all petitioned the state to get moved north....they wanted no part of GS this year!!  At least until LOS!!

I think that you are the only one on here with hurt feelings. Nobody that I have talked to at GS give a rats butt what the media or anyone else is saying. Your the only one that seems to have a problem with it.

No sir that comment wasn't directed at anyone specifically, especially Tanka.   But from the way the papers are writing articles, and the coverage of local news stations, and the comments on this thread..........it doesn't sound like anyone has a chance this year vs GS.

Oh for goodness sake. Stop the poor me stuff so early in the season drama queen.

I'm guessing you are talking about Boonville playing 2A teams?  Unless they make it mandatory to schedule to small school  teams, Boonville wont be forced to play any 2A teams.  I'd say they would want to play SR though.

Nobody was forcing Boonville to play any 2A schools this next year but it looks like that is what they went and got for their non-conference games.

Some schools (from the former Big8) must just suck at recruiting.

I don't think recruiting has anything to do with it. You can look at Boonville's next year schedule and see that they don't want any part of schools their size. 3 non conference games against 2a schools. No offence to those 2a schools either. I think they are wanting to make their program better.

I think there is time.  But I don't think Boonville will budge.

I really don't understand what Boonville is thinking. With Jasper and VL going to the SIAC that pretty much screwed the rest of the Big 8 because I don't see the PAC letting them in. So are those 4 going to still have a 4 team conference. Are they going to go independent? Seems like a AD nightmare trying to fill 6 non conference games every year. I would think they would want some sort of stability.
