  1. Bloomington South 21 Terre Haute North 0 (5:21, 1st) South scores again on a short drive. THN has had the ball on three possessions and still doesn't have a 1st down, and their best offensive play so far is a 3-yard QB scramble.
  2. Bloomington South 14 Terre Haute North 0 (8:30, 1st) After stopping THN again on a 3 and out, South scored on a drive from midfield topped off with an 18 yard TD run.
  3. Bloomington South 7 Terre Haute North 0 (11:08, 1st) South takes the lead after THN won the toss and elected to receive. After three downs of going no where, South blocked the punt and caught the ball on the bounce and ran it into the end zone for the score.
  4. Brown County has not had a winning season in 10 years, although they did have a break-even .500 season during one of the years.
  5. Bloomington North 35 Bedford NL 14 (final)
  6. Martinsville 27 Bloomington South 14 (final) Well deserved win for the Arties. Martinsville was more fundamentally sound and more disciplined than South in this game, especially in the first half, and didn't turn the ball over in the game although South had a couple of chances on picks but couldn't pull them in. South just kept hurting themselves on major penalties and on a couple of ill-timed picks. The Panthers played better in the second half outscoring the Arties 7-6 in that half, but they had to do better than that to pull this game out. The Arties QB Adkins was the better of the two QBs used by South and was more efficient in the passing game. South's running back Gavin Adams, who had a big game last week running the ball against New Albany, also had a big game and was well over 100 yards in this game, but most of his yardage came between the 20-yard lines.
  7. That was Bloomington North 35 Bedford NL 14 on that score.
  8. Bloomington North 35 Bedford NL (7:10, 4th) BNL scores on a sustained drive. North had already started bringing in some of the 2nd teamers at this point.
  9. Martinsville 27 Bloomington South 14 (7:10, 4th) South is going to have to get a couple of 3 and outs to pull this game out considering the time left. South had a scoring drive negated deep into Arties territory early in the 4th when a pass was tipped at the line of scrimmage and picked by the Arties.
  10. Martinsville 27 Bloomington South 7 (end of 3rd) South is just outside the Arties red zone to start the 4th.
  11. Bloomington North 35 Bedford NL 7 (4:20, 3rd)
  12. Martinsville 27 Bloomington South 7 (4:30, 3rd) Martinsville scores on about a 59 yard drive. (PAT no good)
  13. Martinsville 21 Bloomington South 7 (very early 3rd) After picking up several major penalties in the first half, South received the opening kickoff of the 3rd qtr and after picking up a big gain on first down they were hit with two major penalties on the play on a block to the back and a personal foul. I guess they didn't learn anything from the locker room talk at the half.
  14. Bloomington North 28 Bedford NL 7 (half) North had 225 yards of total offense in the half, while BNL had 95 yards of total offense. North is playing without their top running back in Codu Mickulich who hurt his shoulder in the the 1st qtr of their game against Moorseville last week.
  15. That's a halftime score. South scored on the last play of the half to cut into a 21-0 lead the Arties had. The Arties outplayed South from a fundamental standpoint as South kept stubbing their feet with major mistakes such as several penalties of the 10 to 15 yard variety that contributed to Artie drives. South also threw a pick that brought about the Arties 2nd TD. In another mental mistake, South's defense dropped what looked like a pick 6 on a drive that the Arties eventually scored on. It was just a pretty bad first half for South and you have to give Martinsville a lot of credit for outplaying them so far.
  16. Bloomington North 28 Bedford NL 7 (3:51, 2nd)
  17. Bloomington North 21 Bedford NL 7 (7:53, 2nd)
  18. Bloomington North 14 Bedford NL 7 (11:08, 2nd)
  19. Bloomington North 7 Bedford NL 7 (5:41, 1st)
  20. Martinsville 14 Bloomington South 0 (1:54, 1st) The Arties score again a pass play after South threw a pick. Both teams have made mistakes early on, but the Panther mistakes have hurt them more.
  21. Bloomington North 7 Bedford NL 0 (8:38, 1st)
  22. Martinsville 7 Bloomington South 0 (mid 1st) Martinsville scores first on a short pass play on their second possession of the game.
  23. For the most part, Bloom. South controlled both lines in last Friday's game and South had to replace four of five starters in the o-line. New Albany had to rebuild their offense and had just one sustained drive against Bloom. South for a TD, so their inexperience showed. The Bulldogs returned eight starters on defense and also had two transfers on the defensive side from the Louisville side of the river with one being a 4-star recruit, but South was able to move the ball on them and had two 100+ rushers and their QB threw for two scores. That's my FWIW comments. It's one game and they like to say that the biggest improvement with a team is from game one to game two, so we will see.
  24. In what is their annual game, Bloomington South is at Martinsville.
