This is where you’re wrong.  It’s more about Ryan Day than you think.  Too much smoke and connections that can be made.

The “firm” and MSM are controlling the narrative and spouting half truths and click bait daily.

I maintain that if what is being claimed is true, Michigan/Harbaugh should pay the price and face the consequences but in just not there yet.

Harbaugh (satellite camps, practice  hours, etc) is the king of taking rules to the farthest point and finding loopholes.  I would not be surprised if this is the case here once all of the facts come out:

I’ll admit if I’m wrong but so expect level 3 violations, and a slap on the wrist…maybe more specifically for Harbaugh.

    https://www.si.com/fannation/college/cfb-hq/news/michigan-football-violations-jim-harbaugh-suspension-public#:~:text=The program received a Notice,I violation%2C according to reports.

    No level 3 violations

    1.  It all depends on what the head coach knew and when.  Both are not above punishment but..

    a.  If the head coach knew and the university was FUNDING these trips then this should be an egregious level 1/2 violation.  No amount of bias can be inserted here on my part.

    b.  If the staffer went “rogue” and was doing this on his own, then he should be fired immediately and a level 3 violation should be the penalty, maybe more for Harbaugh and/or the coaching staff.

I know many will laugh at the notion of option B but come on.  If this dude truly was roaming the sidelines in East Lansing (still unconfirmed) there is no way that Harbaugh or any of the higher-ups at Michigan would condone him doing so and sign off on it.  Hell, McElwain (CMU’s head coach) was on the UM staff midway through Harbaugh’s tenure and knows Stalions.

Option B is going to be Michigan’s play and it will outrage many.

    2.  The HC is the CEO and should know what each member of his staff is doing at all times PROFESSIONALLY.  If you look up Stalions’ history, he is a lifetime Michigan “Superfan” and cut his teeth volunteering to get a job on the staff for years.  He wrote a 600+ page manifesto about taking the reins of Michigan football himself.  Guy has a few loose screws and is fairly delusional.

Harbaugh/the university will pay the price for this, it’s just a matter of how steep.  I don’t see anything happening this year.

Now, it’s open season on Michigan football as the narrative has been painted and the pitchforks are out.  Many will gloss right over my statements above because they want blood.  The way this story has been painted nationally makes villains out of Michigan and while I am not insinuating that they deserve pity or sympathy, they do deserve due process.

I mean, in your own article linked above 1/3 of the coaches interviewed admitted they employed a “sign stealer” on their staff…and that’s assuming the other 2/3 were being honest.  This type of behavior is likely more widespread that folks want to admit it you or I even imagine.

    It’s an outdated rule.

You follow me around on this board like a dog on a leash.  Your disdain for me is obvious...you claim to not care either way about Michigan yet YOU start these threads and here we are...page 8.  Have you seen me participate in the NFL thread?  The Colts thread?  The Bears thread?  No, because I legitimately DO NOT care.  Your obsession with "putting me in my place" and taking the antagonist argument over my every statement is borderline creepy.

I am not an alumnus nor do I donate to the university so my expectations are meaningless.  College athletics is all about the money, stop kidding yourself.  You call it deflecting, but no one is clean and there are programs out there (just look at recent national champions in both sports for starters) that are dirty as hell.  You call it deflecting...I call it reality.

You are emotional.  I get it.  So are the B10 coaches who are getting their asses kicked by Michigan.  If you scroll through the 8 pages of content on here, I have stated more than once that two things can be true at the same time.

    1.  Michigan/Harbaugh could be guilty as hell and if so, they deserve punishment.

    2.  Due process and a fair chance to let the process play out is also the name of the game.

Thus far ZERO has been traced back to Harbaugh or the athletic department.  If that changes, I'll be the first to report it and demand action.

Assume the action now is not important since Jim has left the building

  5. it wasn't meant for a tone of I was right your take was wrong, just wondering if the narrative now has changed from what you've seen (if you have seen enough to see)

I have been blown away maybe because of access of hard knocks, but listening to him break things down and seeing how Waldren ( yes a guy who understands how to move pickets and qbs ) has worked his offense into his skill sets it exciting.....plus the weapons galore.

There will be many head scratching choices Caleb will make for sure, some clunkers, absolutely, but just don't see a path for "bust" or in over his head

Real Season indeed will be fun

  6. no outrage, I asked a question for point of conversation

show me where I reacted outraged, maybe someone else in the ole Saga here mentioned that Jim probably didn't even know this guy narrative ive seen in these threads.

I am glad that College Football get on level of tech and can just radio in plays to QBs now until 15 sec on clock.

  7. Do you still support Connor Stallions receiving  a game ball from Coach Harbaugh, you know all things considered here?   Don't you think the narrative of Jim not knowing who this guy was, but yet giving a game ball is odd?   Or is this one of those selective things that you choose to ignore ?  I will hang up and listen

Thank you Coach.  Do you know if these wet bulb measurements were instituted as part of a state law passed by the Indiana legislature or are they recommendations and/or requirements from the IHSAA?

To my knowledge, I know of zero state law that mandates Wet Bulb measurements for heat index, I do know that most smaller schools who are VERY FORTUNATE to have an ATC available to them, they most likely are utilizing a local hospital and their ATC employees.   Some school Corps/Districts I am sure have funds to hire their own, Rensselaer is not one of those districts, however, we have a great relationship with Franciscan out of Lafayette and have always had an ATC in my 22 years on the sidelines, however,, I know this is not a reality for all programs/ teams.

I remember being at the IFCA board meeting YEARS ago where IFCA worked with IHSAA on these recommendation/guidelines with the color chart that we see today, at the time, all 50 states was ranked by the Kory Stringer institute, which began after his unfortunate death of Heat while with Vikings.  This Institute is out with University of Connecticut and Indiana did not grade out well.  I believe there was conversations with IHSAA and General Assembly at the time, making sure this report was being taken serious and implemented in our outdoor sports, if those conversation ended up as a Law on book over the years then I am not aware, could be, just don't know, I do know since that meeting, the general procedures we've seen this past week have been in place for a long time.

I like to believe the coaches in Indiana understand their responsibility and how to keep their players safe.

Just at our practice tonight:   I saw our ATC wet bulb out full time taking up to the sec readings and she had pre made a pool of cold water,

If Bears end up drafting Williams 1st, he should SIT a year, if they trade down, stick with Fields and draft lets say JJ McCarthy (that is scenario I hope for) then JJ sits and you get a better OC in for Fields this year and we get to see what this guy actually can do with proper coaching.  Something IMO he has yet to be able to experience

What A dummy statement this one, by this guy

Quite a wild scenarios that could play out in Chicago

This much I do know, if anything is leaked out of Chicago Hallas hall its because Poles wants it out there, other than that, Bears Brass is pretty darn good at the cloak and dagger under POLES, unlike PACE who was buffooned into bidding against himself in the infamous Tribusky draft.

August 2024, I believe Fields to be a Pittsburgh Steeler

August 2024, I believe Bears to have Caleb Williams

but as I have stated, I believe in Ryan Poles over everything, so if he decides to move off the #1 and trade down and keep and Fields or even extend him then im in and lets go and coach him up

For me, it’s difficult to be objective about Caleb Williams since he’s from USC. But there are an awful lot of red flags popping up. Either way, it’s time for the Bears to fish or cut bait. Deals are getting done. Free agency starts in a week, and the Bears are losing leverage in the Fields trade market.

    Still see any red flags?

That would be great … but I’ll believe it when I see it. Until then, I’m not pinning my hopes on a guy who paints messages to opponents on his fingernails, refused to provide medical information … or do anything at the combine, and has come up small in many big games. That is especially true when he comes from that place out of California. When you think about the haul in draft capital they could get for trading that pick … we’ll, he’s going to have to be awfully good awfully soon to justify passing that up.

Have you heard where and why that started with his fashion choice of Nail Paint?   His mother when he was little practice on him while she was working in a. salon, as he got older, he thought it was unique and different and just kept doing it.  I liken it to the ole 70s/80s Guy wearing ear ring and that old theory that the gentleman who chose that just had to be gay.

Don’t tell that to @Coach Nowlin. He was the President of the “We Can’t Get Luke Getsy Out Of Town Fast Enough Club.”

VERY VERY HAPPY with the schemes of Coach Waldren, enjoy him for this year, maybe get lucky and get him for 2, but won't be 3.

Coach...no hatred for anyone, let alone a player that cries to his parents in the stands when they lose.  Just not sure its the best way to show leadership and grab control of a locker room.....in the case of the NFL.....a locker room full of men.

Perhaps that's where the painted nails come in.......😉

I have personally been very pleased with what I have seen/heard from all things in the ole leadership department...

Thank you for this info, Irishman.   But these guidelines appear to be mainly for practices.  What about actual games?

Monday, JV game was moved back to start at 7pm, Sun was down and breeze picked up, it was a real pleasant night.   90 mins prior, not so much

as many mentioned before, many of our programs have had the Wet Bulb measurements for YEARS, and the codes, this is not new for anyone in Indiana
