Hard to believe but in 5 weeks many teams will have finished their season. So the games involving NIC teams for this week
Friday, Sep. 17 Bremen at Jimtown ©, 7 pm Elkhart at Penn ©, 7 pm Glenn at Knox, 7:30 pm New Prairie at St. Joseph ©, 7:30 pm Adams at Marian ©, 7 pm Clay at Washington ©, 7 pm Riley at Mattawan (Mich.), 7:30 pm Jimmies by 20 over the Lions.
Elkhart by 10 over Penn
Knox handles Glenn by 13
Marian big over Adams
Washington over Clay
NP by 24 over ST Joe. Np needs to get more people involved in the offense. Mungia is a stud but you could easily see him getting wore down. When they brought in fresh legs it made a big difference.

Friday, Sep. 10 Bremen at Triton, 7 pm Glenn at Jimtown ©, 7 pm Marian at New Prairie ©, 7:30 pm Riley at Clay ©, 7 pm St. Joseph at Adams ©, 7 pm St. Xavier at Penn, 7 pm I noticed the Elkhart - SB Washington game is not listed and John Harrell has it off the schedule as well. I knew it wound be a good game as it did make me laugh at some of the prognostications, NP by 20, etc. Both are great squads and I hope the two meet up in the tournament later this fall.
As an aside, y’all are wasting your time in the NIC. I’m sure you’d be welcomed with open arms in our league…
I was laughing at some of the predictions also. If those 2 played 10 times I wouldn’t be surprised if it was an even split. As far as being in the NIC I think logistically it makes sense, but I’d love to see them make a move.

Even if Elkhart was at full strength I’d still take the caveman. Elkhart had a great year last year but they still have a lot to prove.

Concord handles the Jimmies
Penn takes care of business against Laporte

I don’t know how confident I am about New Prairie at this point. They have experience on the line and youth in other spots. Sophomore QB, I think with a few games under his belt will eventually be something special. They return their leading rusher from last year and looks like they’re bringing along a sophomore back as well. The combination of those two I think could be very lethal, the sophomore looks to be a strong and fast kid and the other is very shifty and fast. Defense looks to be a work in progress and I think stopping the run will be their strong suit as usual. With that being said I’ll take the Cougars by 14 over Laporte

New Prairie’s Hunter Whitenack has chosen Illinois. 6’7” 300# and seems like he’s still growing

I knew it would be our last game. Absolutely terrible, a change needs to happen at Penn.
curious as to what you and others think have gone wrong at Penn and what changes you’d like to see happen

Why was NP missing players? I also thought that Plymouth was by far the most aggressive. NP stayed on the perimeter while they had the size advantage inside. Our QB is the best athlete in the sectional.
Injuries and 1 was missing from an altercation the previous game.

Np was missing several players that are very key contributors. Starting a freshman QB was probably not the smartest of moves. Plymouth played way more physical which usually doesn’t happen with NP. The cougars are young and think they’ll right the ship next year and make a decent run.

St Joe big over clay
Riley pulls away in the second half
NP takes care of business against Plymouth
Marian by whatever they decide
Jimmies get it done
Glenn over West Noble
Bremen cruises to a victory
Tippy Valley ends the panthers season

Elkhart 7
New Prairie 0

Many thought corona would wipe out the season but here we are....WEEK 6
Elkhart at St. Joseph Š, 7 pm Marian at Penn Š, 7 pm Adams at New Prairie Š, 7:30 pm Clay at Jimtown Š, 7 pm Riley at Washington Š, 7 pm F Bremen by 12 over Glenn- sounds like the lions have a lot of injuries but I think they can overcome them and take it to the Falcons.
Elkhart by 28 over St Joe- Elkhart should have no problem in this one
Penn over Marian by 10- Penn’s size will be a problem for the Knights.
NP by 26 over Adams- NPs revamped backfield will be to much for the Eagles to overcome.
Jimtown by a ton over Clay. Should be over by the 2nd qtr
Riley over Washington by 6- could be the closest game in the NIC this week.
