Curious Dumfries… have you seen any of the current GS players play in person?

If you don't mention names...how does it EVER get corrected. And no it wasn't agreed upon by the coaches. GS has plenty of players and Boonville is a 4A school. An official should never take it upon himself to change the rules of the game.

Game played at Boonville tonight. With GS up 19-0 at the end of the 1st quarter, the ref continued not to stop the clock after 1st downs. Starting in the 2nd quarter he signaled the clock to run through change of possessions. After a series in the 2nd quarter, he ran it on penalties and then on incompletions. GS scored at the end of the 2nd quarter to make it 34-0 at half. The second half he treated it as the mercy rule and ran it the clock through out of bounds and incompletions. He even yelled "Really" at the GS crowd for complaining. Boonville's clock operator told GS's video guy that this ref does this at every game he does at Boonville. These kids rode a bus 40 minutes and only get to play 6 games this season due to CoVid. Let them play full games the way the rules are intended. If this ref doesn't want to be out there then he should quit. This isn't making either team better. should not be an IHSAA licensed referee.

Now you’re starting to piss me off. Sorry but this team was built from 1st grade on. This senior group met EVERY Sunday year around at 4 pm at GS weightroom starting in 4th grade all the way until their freshman year. They won Castle as 4th and 5th graders. Beat North’s 6th grade as 5th graders. Won Titan Clash as 6th graders. Went undefeated in middle school. Most were running clocks in 2nd half. Lost only 1 game of 6 games in 2 years of going to Knoxville TN tournament. We beat your Southridge team as 7th graders by scoring on each of our first 7 plays. 7 plays …7 TDs. I’ve been with this group since 1st grade, every Sunday in the weightroom, coaching each travel game and middle school game. I know how much work they’ve put in waiting for this year. We have lost at least 5 contributors in this class since they’ve started their freshman year. Sorry but without any new kids, every game in the PAC this year would have been a running clock. I don’t believe Southridge would have turned kids down if they bought houses and moved into their district. I know Memorial, Central, HH, and North don’t. This is a very tight senior group. I think you’ll see that as the football season continues, into basketball, and then baseball.

Well the 3 combined scores of games with GS vs MV, HH, & SR….159-18 with running clocks to start the 2nd half in all 3. No kryptonite in sight!

Looking at these predictions, now I understand why they put GS at #2 in the area power rankings. They don’t have a clue! Hendrix thinks it’ll be a 8 point game and Kyle 12…lol. Dudes have never made a tackle in their life unless you count tackling that chocolate long john in the break room!

I would throw Southridge in as well. The SR-HH game in a couple weeks will be very competitive.

There is less than a zero percent chance of this happening. The few that have the desire for a Catholic education after 8th grade can continue at Memorial and MD as they have in the past. This number has dwindled over the past 20 years. You can see how well this idea played out in Jasper. John Paul the Great high school opened in 2009 and currently has 15 kids in grades 9-12. Zero chance! There will be a better chance that the Signature School started a football program..LOL

Lol....so then watched the HH game on Hudl. Spoiler Alert***** On GS first scoring drive, the TD pass to Heltsley....HH's #54 ends up on his back with #63 on top of him. No penalty called. So apparently you weren't at the HH game. Are you with SR?

Just went and watched this on Hudl. Nothing was illegal on this play. The official called a personal foul after the play...a dead ball penalty that was marked off on the kickoff. The score counted. Cade must have said something after the play or pushed off the SR lineman getting up. Curious when do you deem it necessary to knock an opponent to the ground during a football game? If this in your eyes was unnecessary. Didn't know it was GS's job to keep you upright.

The lack of talk from Lincoln City is surprising. Being the number 2 ranked team in 3A by Sagarin and 12th overall, I thought there would be more talk this week.

Southridge never disappoints. Slowest chain gang in the state. They must have an agreement with the Waters of Huntingburg to supply personnel. Numerous times tonight the box didn't get in place until after the 1st down play was completed. Same thing every year. And a pet peeve with officials not knowing the rules. The mercy rule correctly applied stops the clock on time outs, injuries, and scores. Starts back once the receiving team touches the ball on the kickoff. Amazes me that a paid official doesn't know the rules.

I have a feeling the PAC issues will sort themselves out in the next two weeks…😉

Nice try...😉 Come to the JV game tomorrow night. I think you'll see that GS would have been fine this year regardless. And that will be without the senior backups and a couple of seniors that quit this year.

Memorial treats Bosse has their own JV...lol. When they become Varsity talent level they get a blue jersey.

Toyota isn't in South Gibson's School Corporation either. 3-1/2. One started in TYFL and went to middle school in South Gibson. Stayed living in the district but went to another school for 2 years. GS has also lost 2 to transfer. One to North and the other to Tecumseh. The one to North was the top offensive player and TD scorer for the Junior class at every level growing up. The one to Tecumseh was the Senior class' top defensive lineman in TYFL and middle school. Curious - How many transfers do Memorial, Central, and Castle have this year and each year?

Wouldn’t know….I drive a Chevy and wife has a Jeep. AK Steel’s stock is at $1.55 a share today. All time low…down from $70 a share in 2008. But they’re under new ownership. Maybe changing the name.
