I guess Mississnewa set the tone with their victory over Marion. im hoping Eastbrook wins sta te in Football. I'm a CIC fan as well as a Blackford fan.. We take a lot of grief about our schedule so I'm hoping the CIC is strong. They looked good in scrimmage vs. Union City's and in game vs. Bloomington Lighthouse.. Bluffton will be a more realistic test of how we might fare in the conference.. That game is Saturday. Hopefully the conference will be a lot more evenly matched than in football. Let's keep the chatte r going and good luck to all CIC Teams.

It is a MCL no surgery required. Not quire as bad as ACL I hear no basketball with Baseball very questionable. if he can't play Baseball it will destroy Blackford's chance at having a decent team. He is. a great catcher who has already committed to Eastern Illinos to play Baseball.

Eastbrook ... My Bruins played them well for a half last week and will again in the sectional, but they are just too good. MG ... Too much for Frankton. Mississnewa ...We lost our QB Mealy for the season. Coaches son Carson gets an early lesson for next year in 1st Varsity start. Alexandria ... They sure looked better against us than others, but our pass defense stinks.

Blackford over Eastbrook.. My heart overloaded my brain on this pick. Madison Grant ..... Elwood Alex over Mississnewa ..... I just loved their QB Frankton over Oak Hill .... Toss Up Hopefully someday 2 schools won't dominate the CIC so much ..... I know we will have to get a lot better in the younger grades to even come close to what we've done the past 2 years.

Luke Brown works hard at defense and is nor slow. Lol we have some disagreement on the thread now.

Does anybody think the Bruins have a chance" we are 0-21 against them in football. Ironically and this goes back 40 to 50 years ago. I believe Blackford won the 1st 22 games the school's played each other in basketball. This might be the 1st of 2 meetings between the teams this year for as we are in the same sectional.

Eastbrook over Alex ..... This game may be closer than you think. Alex has great QB and. , Passing game. Blackford over Elwood ..... Bruin ground game will be in full gear. Mississnewa over Frankton ..... Matter of talent Madison Grant over Oak Hill ..... I was impressed with MG last week.

Blackford.... . I almost went against my Bruins. Our passing game on both sides of the ball stinks. Frankton ... Despite watching them getting ambushed by the Bruins last week, they may take out their frustrations. Mississnewa .... They will eit her have letdow n after last week or blow away MG. Eastbrook ... Won the conference last week. Like a Timex they keep on ticking.

Oak Hill ... They came very close to beating us last week. Blackford ... Hopefully worked on our weak areas ... The offense is Coming of Age Alex ... Not sure but figure they have more horses. Mississnewa ... Hard not to pick Jeff's Crew especially at home, but I'm also going out on that limb. This may in up being an interesting week. Good Luck and hopefully injury free for all.

Should be play your Freshmen or JV and don't count the quarters against them for following Saturday or Monday JV or Freshman game.

Many interesting ideas in all the above posts. I give Eastbrook a big nod as usual. They have tradition and dedication. Confidence on the ability to get the job done. Coach Adamson and staff push about all the right buttons. Starting with Marion and Delta only help their chances in the conference and post season as long as they don't suffer injuries. I think Mississnewa has just enough extra boys to fill some spots in a football line-up that the bottom 6 teams in the conference can't fill. Ill wait to make any comments on Oak Hill, Alex, MG, Frankton and Elwood. As per my Bruins ... We will improve. Right now we have 2 glaring weaknesses that I'm not going to be guilty of giving everybody a scouting report here even though any real football fan will notice by the end of the 1st quarter. The question is ... Can the coaches get this fixed in the next 2 weeks before the conference openers? i am heartsick to confirm that we only have 1 combined team. I remember when we had a combined team at Montpelier and 30 or more in both 7th and 8th grade class as at Hartford City when we had 2 middle schools. sad to see other conference teams have same problems.
