  1. I am PLENTY educated on the subject. I simply do not care. I wanted to know who was getting turf and who was thinking about it in the other thread that I started. I have an excel spreadsheet dedicated just to that. I am very curious about the subject. 41% of the state had turf last year. I do not care about your crusade to complain about where tax dollars should be allocated. To be fair... I wouldn't care where anyone wanted tax dollars. The Pros and Cons can be discussed here.
  2. Sorry.. an appropriate one. The other thread wasn't meant for that. This one is, simple. Tell us why turf is so awful here.
  3. Turf 20/21 Madison, Jeff, Charlestown (kind of funny they're all in like the same area), Columbia City, FW Carroll Schools discussing it West Washington... anyone else?
  4. AGREE.. but at least he has a spot to be heard now.
  5. Noooo... not whining at all. Just giving you a spot to state your opinions, an appropriate place.
  6. @Muda69 Here talk about it here. Simple enough.
  7. Now you're putting words in my mouth, awesome man. You gave no facts. But yet, you aren't ruining the thread. Riiiiiiiight. Again... go away, start your own thread, you aren't wanted in this one.
  8. I just want facts. You want to start a discussion on turf vs. grass... or turf and who should get it and who should pay for it. Yoda yoda, go do it in another thread. I want to know... who is getting turf in 2020 and beyond, other than that, I really do not care.
  9. I'd really like to steer clear of the turf vs. grass discussion here. I appreciate your post though.
  10. It is even more beneficial for smaller schools (in smaller areas) than it would be for a school in Indy to have turf. What I mean by that... My gf is an AT at Noblesville (obviously a huge school) but this applies for a school like Sheridan, as well. When their softball field is too wet, they can go and still have a turf practice just indoors at Finch Creek or Grand Park. Where we are at we don't really have that kind of an opportunity, thus making the turf football field that much more valuable. I bet if you and Salem both went in on turf there would be some sort of a discount. I know BNL is looking into doing the football field, softball, and baseball.
  11. It just doesn't feel like a stadium to me with no away bleachers. Everything you mentioned you're absolutely correct, the home stands are very big, press box is extremely nice. Idk.. just need some away bleachers. The HHC just doesn't travel well though. Unfortunate.
  12. Anyone have an update here? New schools with turf this coming year, as of now: Madison, Jeffersonville, Charlestown all 2020. For 2021- Columbia City and FW Carroll
  13. Just stop. One year the HCC was comparable and it was STILL an all MIC final. The MIC is still by far the king. I have no affiliation to these conferences, but to diminish how good this conference is at all is silly.
  14. Appreciate it. I know nothing about most of northern Indiana, especially the Region. I am headed to Chicago in April for the weekend when IU plays @NW.
  15. Wow.. I knew how close the football field was to Lake Michigan, but that baseball stadium is impressive. Is it only used for HS games? Or?
  16. Carmel so nice. Watched one game there. Merrillville driving past it, incredible. Haven't been to a game there. Reitz bowl big time. Watched one game there. I would bet we have as good of a gameday atmosphere as anyone, especially the bigger games. Behind our visitors bleachers is Elm St... there used to be trailers, RVs, buses, etc. that was parked there 365 days a year.... the town has since not allowed that, but on gameday there are people out there by 430pm (330-4pm for the big games)... the cool feature about Elm St is that it is elevated, so the whole street has a great view of the game. We will have a couple hundred fans (more for Seymour and playoffs) that completely encompass the opposing team and their fans. It's a great stadium and atmosphere and something that I believe if you are fan of IN HS football you should witness one time, for a great matchup. We are 139-18 at home under Coach May. 89% winning percentage.
  17. Traditionally ... UT, UF, and UGA have matched Auburn, LSU, and Bama. Traditionally.
