  1. I actually think the sectionals make perfect sense. The only thing that is confusing is why sectional 31 isn't sectional 30 and vice versa.
  2. He passed his scan on Friday. After the game their coach told us he was going to be OK.
  3. Again... why would Ctown go to that conference? What do they gain?
  4. Or those schools could stay in our conference? Since most of the schools in the HHC are double Charlestown's size. I would also assume SC isn't making any moves until they get their school district stuff figured out along with getting a new school. I would be willing to bet there is more of a chance of our conference reshuffling than those two going to your conference. I am a tad confused what either would gain by going to your conference anyway. SC already plays the entire HHC in basketball (basically)... those two already play each other in football and no one in the HHC would be bigger rivals for those two schools than each other. East in football is really the only outlier here. In basketball... the river schools compete with each other just fine and BNL is a tick behind and East has had some good wins, as well. It's a balanced conference in basketball imo. I know baseball is very balanced, as well. The other sports I'm sure are the same as @Impartial_Observer has mentioned before. Restructuring the football schedules is a good move, but again... East is the outlier.
  5. So.. theoretically.. it could be this off season? Kind of crazy they might have it before BNL
  6. I saw where Coach Hawkins tweeted out about an important meeting tonight at Charlestown about turf, tennis courts, swimming pool, new track, new stands and press box. Hoping that goes through for them. I know Ctown and Jeff are in the same school district is Jeff involved in these talks? just curious is all. Any other schools close to getting turf or have had discussions about it?
  7. Offense- 1FR, 9SO, 1JR Defense- 4FR, 5SO, 2JR are the starters for us (obviously some of those are kids going both ways. But we do have 18 different starters on the JV team and 23 kids who rotate in offensively or defensively) Plus... 2SO, 1JR, 1FR that rotate in.
  8. No.. just a little rain. Turf was in great shape 🙂
  9. Brownstown JV over Salem JV in double OT Hats off to the Lions on a great game.
  10. WW was the most disciplined team we saw all summer... and that includes us, Plainfield, Hobart, Fort Wayne Wayne, Providence, Leo Catholic (Chicago), and Tecumseh.
  11. Thanks man! This thread is a lot better when we post JV scores! Gives us a little something to talk about through the week.
  12. Today is national suicide prevention day. I just simply wanted to let all of you know you are all loved more than you'll ever know by the people in your life. There isn't a day in my life that goes by that I don't think about my friend. I've come to terms that I cannot change what happened in his life, but maybe.. this post will help someone or help you all help someone struggling in their life. Please ask for help if you need it, please.
  13. Awesome to hear @senatorcoach72...and good for Seymour to just find a game to play in general!!
  14. I really wish we could get more people would post JV scores... Corydon/NH Salem/Scottsburg SC/Prov? Was Ctown and Cville able to play a JV game? Paoli/Valley?
  15. This is true. Where was the WW Seymour JV game at? Also... Seymour is 5 times your size or more, so it's nice to get to even play teams like that. We've played Floyd, NA, and BNL in recent years in FR... great experience.
  16. There's a flip side to everything you're saying too also though. (everything you've said is spot on btw)... very good post.
  17. Truthfully.. I read the last line of your post wrong. I thought it was "what do I do now" not... "what do I know" I shouldn't post early in the morning. My apologies.
