Although the Sectional didnt go the way we wanted, we did beat both of our rivals and won the WRC.  Forgive me if I dont cheer for Parke Heritage.

There is nothing wrong with that. When will the celebratory riverside fireworks show be taking place? If the Wildcats need a food vendor I will be happy to whip up a tasty batch of fart sandwiches!!!

Yes Facebook has been entertaining, Riverton hates Parke Heritage, it was Rockville, now they hate the entire northern part of the county! I can speak that we don’t feel the same. Only thing that has been competitive is baseball in male sports.

But the wolves did strike a nerve with a Riverton Parke legend, a BIG TIME banker, and their biggest booster. His post has gone viral with degrading comments about the wolves and the school in general. Not sure I’d want to do that before playing them? Lol

And the panther faithful can not believe the Wolves got more tickets for this game than they did. How does that work for the sectional?

It makes things interesting if nothing else! It has been kind of a slow year for WRC football.

    Really?

Putting on a social forum that a school district is putting non athletes health at risk because they don’t play sport isn’t a problem?

not only is it complete BS, it’s a smack in a lot of good administrators face.

Maybe if I pay to read this trash I can post what I really feel and won’t be condemned.

So Parke Heritage isn't isolating their athletes from their general student population?

I would expect a school that has a chance of winning some post season games to take every possible precaution to keep their athletes healthy. Who cares if some Parke Heritage employees are passing the email around outside of the district? There are necessary precautions to take when you preparing to make a run in the state tournament.

  4. I cannot believe what I heard today. According to WRC By-Laws, a team must play all of their conference games to be eligible to win the WRC championship. Since North Vermillion was the only school to play all of their games, they are going to be named WRC champs for 2020??? This is a travesty. I can't believe the WRC ADs and Principals are going to let this stand.

So, I just sat down to a nice lunch, opened up the GID to see what’s new, and this is the first thing I see? Could you please go back to just talking about end zone cameras?

Seriously, how awesome is the Hi-Pod X31? It's like the rest of the folks in the endzone camera game are just playing catch-up!

  6. Speaking of Mecca, one day I would like to try the famous Mecca Tavern tenderloin. How are the restroom facilities? I need to know this in case I have to unleash a liquified fecal deluge upon finishing my meal.

I can only imagine the celebration and revelry that will take place in Mecca when the Panthers start smacking the Wolfs around on an annual basis.

If I am in Mecca on this day, can I still get a cold beer... and if so, can I get a heads up on when this is?

You may, or may not, be able to get a cold beer. I can say with certainty though that you can pick up a new K-9 friend if you visit the metropolis of Mecca. There's always 3-4 dogs running around town.

Did you ever go to a party, or an event, or a meeting of some type with a spouse or a friend or an associate, get there, and then look at your friend and say, "what are we doing here, we dont belong here."  "We have no friends here."

Im starting to get that feeling about my association with The GID.

The PP supporters have left the site.  The elimination of the OOB forum cleansed a lot of the riff raff from this place.  Now, intolerance and extreme myopia have compromised the ability to have a good discussion.

Ive always leaned towards more controversial topics , bacause frankly, they are much more interesting than reading about what is going on in the Sagamore Conference.

At some point however, people who are uber resistant to change or lack the ability to embrace new concepts have heard enough.

I think we have reached that point here

Im not a revolutionary, or a change agent, or a football hater.  I simply have watched the game evolve over the years, and see common sense solutions designed to maintain a fair level of play for all schools involved.  Ive also watched football take a nose dive relative to its place in our overall culture while its most ardent supporters remain devoted to supporting and maintaining the status quo.

Im not after anybodys program.  I just think that we have too many of them still in operation who are not performing, just like we have too many restaurants, convenience stores, tattoo shops, and shopping malls.

Have you heard enough?  I think you probably have.

Can you help me cleanse the fecal stains in my undies?

This got me to thinking of all the Coach Moore haters out there, and I have a few questions.  Did he not leave Seeger for Fountain Central to be the athletic director?  Would this not be a step up and not a talent chase?  Was he not a head coach in 2009, 2010 & 2011?  Isn't FC his alma mater? (It is - he went to school with my cousin).  Then he takes a job at Lafayette Jeff.  Jeff was 9-53 in the 6 years before he became coach.  I would ask where was the talent to chase?  Of course they were in the Hoosier Crossroads until 2014, when they joined the North Central.  His first year at LJ they go 8-3, and even though he left (maybe didn't like the big school atmosphere?), LJ has consistently won since then.  So did he set them up for that success?  I'm not a hater or an admirer, but just thought there were some questions I'd like some answers for.  I know that is a difficult concept for some.

You and I seem to be in agreement Mr Ballhawk. Coach Brian Moore rightfully earned his place in the hall of fame by being a legendary football coach, not by chasing talent. Now I have a couple of questions for you.

    1. What did Lafayette Jeff know that Seeger and Fountain Central didn't? Jeff was able to find a replacement for Moore that took their program to the next level following his departure. Seeger and Fountain Central both fell off the face of the earth following his departure.

    2. Do you prefer your fart sandwiches smooth or chunky?

    3. If Parke Heritage becomes a bottom feeder after Coach Brian Moore leaves, does that prove that he is irreplaceable? If so, does that make Lafayette Jeff the Beyonce of Indiana high school football? Standing in the front yard telling me how I'm such a fool, talking bout how I'll never ever find a coach like you........You must not know bout me, you must not know bout me. I can have another coach in a minute, matter of fact he'll be here in a minute, baby.

The Woofs won’t beat South Putnams.
Second and foremost Western Boones will take out the cherry pickers also known as South Vermillions. I swear to God they will

But will the upcoming talen........I mean outstanding tenderloins be enough to lure a legend to southwest parke county?

  11. Is that a shooting gallery I hear?? No, it is just me ripping off massive farts to fill your flatus hoagies!! Welcome to Week 8!!!

WRC Conference standings after seven weeks -

    South Vermillion  5-0

    Seeger 3-0

    Attica 3-1

    Parke Heritage 2-1

    Covington 3-3

    North Vermillion 1-4

    Riverton Parke 0-4

    Fountain Central 0-4

If you had told me before the season that Parke Heritage would be sitting in 4th place in the WRC, I would have challenged you to eat a can of refried beans and then try your prediction again. The sand is quickly draining from the hour glass for the Wolfs. One, maybe two more years to capitalize on all of that talent. Tick-tick-tick-tick. Like sand through the hour glass, so are the days of the Wolfs football.

Sitting one spot above Parke Heritage in third place is Rambler Dan and Attica. From the program lingering on death's door to sitting in 3rd place with two weeks left, you've gotta hand it to A-Town.

Meanwhile, in Clinton, the future's so bright you're gonna need a visor!!! The Tigerrrrrr........I mean the Wildcats are set to be WRC Champions for the 2nd time in the Visor's tenure.........IF, they can avoid an ambush by Mel, Herb, and the rest of the Patriots. Anyone know who the officials are for this epic clash??

Speaking of Seeger....Herb King is the new King of the North. King Herb has rebuilt the once powerful kingdom of Seeger. Look for King Herb to be the one pooping in the yards of other coaches from now on!!!

The Men of Troy have a 4-3 record, drones to film practice, and the hot rumor at Agave Azul is that Field Turf is coming to the Trojan Complex!! The new football coach is generating mucho excitement around town. If the Trojans want to hang on to Coach Campbell they better keep him wrapped up tight like a........Trojan?

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. North Vermillion with only one win on the season. Happy days are not here again in Newport.......no Hill Climb......no winning football games......orange barrels for miles and miles and miles and miles..........

Riverton Parke has a secret.........their youth teams are doing very well playing in Terre Haute. The talent balance will soon shift in Parke County and the Panthers will own the monopoly. On an unrelated note, don't be surprised when a current WRC head football coach is seen dining at the famous RP institution, the Mecca Tavern in the near future. Probably heard how good their tenderloins are.

Fountain Central has a chance to pick up their first WRC win in two years against North Vermillion this week. It still boggles the mind how the bottom fell out of that proud program. Small school cycles I guess.

  12. Did someone order a spicy ca-ca torta? I am here to deliver the piping hot fart sandwiches you crave!!

    1. A 10-2 record with a couple of second place finishes is nothing to sneeze at, and certainly not mediocre.

    2. Who would win if Brian Moore from 2004 was coaching against Brian Moore from 2020?

    3. Right now Parke Heritage is seeing the classic "consolidation bump" across all athletics. When you combine two varsity teams to make one, there is usually success initially because of the depth and competition to get on the field / court. This advantage quickly fades after the first four years post consolidation. Do the Wolfs have the athletes in the lower levels to maintain the success? Are the varsity coaches working hard in the lower levels to develop talent? Is there involvement from the top down? That will be key to the Wolfs either continuing long term success or falling off in the near future.

    4. Seeger is back with King Herb leading the charge. How long will King Herb keep coaching now that he has Seeger back in the mix? Judging by the fact that he changed the Patriots' helmets, I don't see him walking away anytime soon. Kudos to him and his staff for doing the hard work at the lower levels, digging in for the long term, and resurrecting the Patriots from death. Somewhere in Hollywood Mel Gibson is smiling and making scapegoats out of Jews.

    5. Will Bud Wright crap in Herb's yard this weekend? I dare anyone to try and stop him.

I’m not concerned one way or another as I have no dog in the fight. But you are in The wrong place if you think anything will be dropped here. It’s still brought up every week that PH canceled their week one game. Supposedly that was do you players safety concern.

Lets all have a good Friday!

Tell me about it! It's the same thing with Brian Moore being a talent chaser. Everyone wants to harp on that just because he's coached at three different WRC schools. How can you blame a guy for putting himself in the best position to win? How about all of those coaches who won, then stayed loyal to their school, only to be fired when the talent ran out? It goes both ways.
