The teams south of Bargersville seem to be getting better all the time.

Evansville Mater Dei won state - 2000, 2022

Evansville Memorial won state - 2017

    Linton won state - 2016

Heritage Hills won state - 2000

Evansville Reitz won state - 2007,2009

    Columbus East won state - 2013, 2017

    Jasper won state - 2001

East Central won state - 2022, probably 2023

Mt. Vernon (Fortville) won state - 2021

Gibson Southern won state - 2021

It did reach double digits.  Many of the schools in and north of Lafayette were good for many years, and that doesn't seem to be true anymore.  South Bend had some of the best teams in the state from the 1920's-1970's, and now look at them.  Penn seems to have fallen off, and the list goes on and on.  Indy might have a lot to do with that, but that is why the teams north of Lafayette get an "Oh My"

You missed Southridge won state -2017

How many of the 184 additional students that have transferred from area Gibson County Schools that you speak of are on/or are varsity starters?  That's what matters regarding the football program, I honestly don't know but would say its very low.

Who said that the additional 184 students are transfer students? I don't know if they have lived there there entire lives or if they transferred.

Is this really all a man of your intelligence can come up with?  It really is just sad.

It's a good thing it didn't start in 2012 based on what your coach has done against ours in that time frame.

Hopefully you get another high paying chicken processing plant in the next couple of years.

I was trying to keep it simple for you. As for how the Southridge coach has done vs the Gibson Southern coach its not like they are working with the same resources. going by the last enrollment numbers used Gibson Southern has 184 more students than Southridge. Southridge had 517 students so an extra 184 is a lot to overcome.

Why do teams willingly schedule OPH again? It's like playing Dugger. Running clock at halftime every week.

Should Tecumseh have kept their 2022 opponent for week 9 for 2023? That opponent was a BYE. Sometimes you have to play whoever has a open week that same time you do.

With the all in tournament, and keeping the end of the season at Thanksgiving, it was an absolute must. 64 teams in 5 classes was the max each could have. The only other options were to start the season a week earlier or eliminate another game. The plan had been developed as we crept closer to 320. Once we hit 321 teams playing, 6 classes had to happen, and did. I give Bobby Cox some credit with planning ahead, and knowing that just evenly dividing teams in 6 classes was not a good solution.

Now that the number of teams are down again should the IHSAA go back to 5 classes. 313 teams entered the football state tournament this year.

It seems kind of strange to me that the PAC MVP, offensive captain, and defensive captain are recognized separately from their positions.

Altogether between both divisions, I count 6 all-conference QBs out of 11 teams.

That has kind of an “everybody gets a trophy” feel to it.

There are 12 current PAC teams that play football in the conference. Next year it will be 13 teams with  the return of Tecumseh.

I think I saw something about Kankakee needing a freshman game.

it’s Coach Harts younger brothers team.

which idk if we really want that as they are a BIG team.  Currently the Illinois 5A #1.

John Hart- Brownsburg 8-0 and ranked either #1 or #2 for 6A

Nick Hart- Gibson Southern 8-0 and ranked either #1 or #2 in 3A

Derek Hart- Kankakee 5-1 and ranked #1 in 5A Illinois

    talk about a family lol

Illinois has 8 classes for football. From what I could find online Kankakee has a little over 1200 students so they are smaller than three of the schools your varsity has played this year.
