  1. THIS P'S Me OFF. Every year the same discussion. So two top teams have to play in the first round and not for the Championship boo hoo hoo. It doesn't matter you have to play someone in the first round or you have to play them in the last round. S#!$ happens, its life.
  2. Running clocks will help. That may keep it close for Luers within a 100 points, so now they will probably only get beat by 75 points in both games.
  3. The biggest problem I see is the Knights are just getting manhandled in the trenches both sides of the ball.
  4. I heard that Luers don't have any cyo schools playing football anymore
  5. Ok I'll take the underdogs Northside...SouthSide...Luers...Concordia... Northrop in a coin toss
  6. So with just over two weeks before the first kickoff here are the national rankings for SAC teams according maxpreps.com: 1. Dwenger 314 2. Snider 654 3. Homestead 1153 4. Wayne 3041 5. Bishop luers 4008 6. Northside 5949 7. Concordia 6055 8. Northrop 6565 9. Carroll 6676 10. South Side 8968 Out of 13335 teams. Thoughts?
  7. I Just visited the maxpreps website to see the Luers roster. I believe there were only 62 souls. I think it says there is 18 Sr. And from what I recall Most of whom have never started a varsity game before. Only 30 of the 62 names have given numbers and I believe 14 of the 62 were freshman, and according to the website it says there a total of 8 lineman. I figured this may be a rebuilding year but yikes.

  9. Monday marks the first day for practice. So are there any schools having a sunday midnight practice? Is this even allowed anymore?
  10. Graduation hit the knights hard this year. They lost a lot of good starters. Two of them actually played in the All-Star game a couple weeks ago. There'll be a lot of new faces on the field for the Knights this year. It was announced here recently, that Luers lost their best wide receiver and very good linebacker to transfer to the same school. Luers have a new New Qb to my knowledge has never started a varsity football game. BL has to replace the starting running back and the Knights have to replace amost the whole offensive line. The D on the other hand has some returning starters but itself has a few holes to fill. It's going to be tough playing all the bigger schools in the SAC. The schedule will help them in the playoffs. If Luers can make it through the regular season with few injuries and/or player turn over, They should do pretty well in their first year back into 2a, but I do not see them winning a state championship this year. Among others, I believe there is a young Andrean team up to the Northwest that has a lot of returning players from last year's team. They might have something to say about it.
  11. With today being the Indiana high school All-Star game, it also marks only 42 days until the first regular-season Friday night football in the state of Indiana.
  12. Probably the one player that Luers could not afford To lose Nate Moore has transferred to Wayne
  13. When you can win as many championships as Cathedral have you should get special treatment. Why not? It happens with other sports.
  14. Sorry but things are black and white. But there's really not much to see but equipment.
  15. Only 77 days until the first football Friday night in Indiana.
  16. As I write I am watching a replay of an AFL football game (Australian rules football). I've have watched it on and off in the past, Now that I have internet television, I have been able to watch a alot recently. The more I watch the more I enjoy the sport. From what I've read AFL is experiencing great growth in the United States with some colleges and even high school teams around the country starting clubs. Aside being played on a massive circular field usually a cricket field and I know there are not many them around, I just wonder if this could even catch on as a high school sport here in the state. Any thoughts?
