Here we are . . . Week #7 of the regular season.

    Can Knox hang with Pioneer?

How does LaVille react following an emotional loss to Knox?

  2. From_the_sidelines that sums it up right there.  LaVille is not that far away, they are still on course for a 7-2 regular season record, which the last time I checked wasn’t to bad at all.  If they can finish strong in their last three games, head into the sectional healthy and on a high note, I think any coach would take that.  Go Lancers, beat Falcons!!

  3. Last year that game against NJ turned out to be a perfect storm!!   It was cold and raining sideways and whatever could go wrong did.  On LaVille’s first drive, a pass deflected off of Dill’s foot and popped up into a Judson defenders hands!  Then on 3rd and forever, Judson QB was scrambling, threw one, went threw the hands of a LV defender, tipped up and caught by a Judson receiver that happen to be in the right place at the right time.  Then a pic 6 deep in LV territory gave NJ their 2nd TD.  It was miserable to say the least!  The Southwood game was just heart wrenching!  Kertai was crossing the goal line to seal the deal, when he fumbled.  Then SW went the distance to get the game winning score.   That was a great game, except for the way it ended!

  4. I think LaVille can be Knox and Pioneer, if they play mistake free and limit big plays on defense.  I know a lot of people like to say that the Pioneer game was closer than the score and that Pioneer got the breaks but it went both ways.  On LaVille’s first TD, they had a lineman 15 yards downfield that was not called.  So for those saying Pioneer scored on a KO return and a botched punt and with 1 second to go in the half, well it’s all part of the game.  Give credit where credit is due, Pioneers ability to stop LaVille inside the red zone is as much Pioneers defense stepping up as LaVilles offense not executing.  I’m sure Coach Hostrawser told his team the same thing and that they need to learn from it and get better.  The only way LaVille can get that proverbial monkey off their back, is to win this week, get better until sectionals and then show their worth against whoever it is they face.  They can do it but as with any game, they must play mistake free football and limit the big plays.  There’s my two cents!
