I looked at Mater Dei and Providence.

Why would private schools need it? I've been on two different private school sites and a special education department is nowhere to be found. If you don't have students with special needs, why would you get money allocated for students with special needs?

If all P/P's went 0-10, would they be put in their own tournament?

I get making a joke about this question but it's a legitimate question. Why is enrollment down at these schools? Is it public schools in the area are a better option than they used to be? Some of these are saying their building can hold 850 but are only at 600. That's a huge disparity. The enrollment is down at all 3 of our county schools and surrounding counties. It's not because they're enrolling at private schools, as there are none in the area. It's because there are fewer school age people in the county due to many jobs no longer being in the county.

Don't most privates play up during the season? We don't have many privates schools in our area. Mater Dei plays up. Providence stays independent so they can play up in their schedule. I assume this is common.

I did. The past 10 years, they've been once in 2020. I know they have a successful history. Wasn't sure how far back you were going with your juggernaut comparisons.

I don't get to watch Luers often. Do their typical juggernaut teams not make it to the state finals? I see they've only been one other time this decade.

I feel like it stopped because for some of these teams, they won a state championship, but then they lost the next weekend. So people almost felt like the Class State Championships were watered down.

Those were awesome. Not sure why they ever stopped doing that.

We did something similar when basketball went to a Class tournament. Tournament of Champions! Sounded like a great way to appease the single class crowd. I think it lasted 3 years.

How many is determined by where you finish in the conference. 1st gets 8 2nd gets 7 3rd gets 6 4th gets 4 5th gets 3 6th gets 2 There are also a K and P position that do not count toward your total. This year, we got the K and PC got the P so each got an extra kid on.
