It's almost here! Brownstown Central was in LOS this morning! Really pulling for my Braves, let's GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

I remember that game well!

From what very little I have seen, I think we should have the advantage in the trenches. That said, we need to get to that QB before he squirts out and makes plays. Same story on Offense I suppose, we should be good up front, but can we get some space down the field? Sounds like both teams have a lot of speed.

First and foremost, congratulations to the Miners, probably the hardest hitting and most physical team we have seen in a while. Great team, great coaching, and made it happen when and where it mattered. That being said, I was super frustrated watching our kids slip and fall down on plays that they consistently run for 40, 50, 80 yards. There was no cutbacks available due to the field and it was blatantly obvious...they may have well been playing on ice. I know, I know, it's the same for both teams, you can't control the conditions, yada, yada, yada, all of which is correct, and not trying to make any excuses, just saying that it was very frustrating to see the field, not the defense, force us out of our game plan and be limited to running mostly between the tackles. I can recall 4 - 5 plays that would have gone 40+ yards on a decent field. We definitely made some mistakes, I am not sure if not kicking the FG was one of them, kicking is tough in a mud pit too. Going out of bounds in the 4th was a rough one. At the very end, it may not have mattered (assuming everything played out the same), but the QB was 100% down on the 2 point on the first TD. It would have been nice to see a one play, do or die for the title at the end though instead of giving them 2 free points in the 1st.

Yeah, I see that he is also their #1 rusher and has over 3,000 total yards this season. We definitely need to keep an eye on that guy!

Two top 3 2A teams colliding tonight in the Sectional 39 semi-finals and not a word about it on here?!?!?!? Should be a good game! 5 points last year, Calpreps shows it 4 points this year to the Tigers. I could go for some rain and 40mph winds! 🤣

Idk about this year, but since 95 Brownstown Central has won 13 Sectionals and 3 Regionals and only hosted 3 Regionals and 1 Semi-State. (Most of them in the general direction of Evansville too lol)

Me too, my guess is about 49 - 14, but broken down 21-0 in 1st, 14-7 in 2nd, 14-0 in 3rd and 0-7 in 4th. That is not a dog on LB because they beat my Braves last week either, I just feel after seeing them play and what I have seen and heard of GS, that's about where it will be...just my (likely wrong) opinion. I also know from experience that long bus rides, different game times/days and a huge home field crowd that will certainly be found at GS, also play a factor. I think we were a little closer to them than the score indicated as we made things really hard on ourselves with -2 TO and about 120 yards called back in the first half on penalties, so I think Sagarin is pretty close and they were about 2 TDs better than us. (Sag shows 12 pts). That being said, Sagarin shows GS 18 points better than LB, so maybe it's more like 49 - 21 (Yes, I know that's 28), but my gut feeling is 49 - 14...unless Coach Hart decides to score more, but I don't think he will.

Toughness is hard to teach, it's a mind-set. You all have certainly had a lot of success since then...we'll take some credit lol Yes, I think most of the community was behind it. There will always be a few that just like to complain, but overall, it was well-received. Thank you, I hope we can get them once!

Haha, I prefer to talk about 2016 if we can just stick to that please and thank you 🤣 Honestly, I was much more impressed with our defense that night than our offense, we're typically not only a run first offense, but also a stop the run first defense, but our D stepped it up that night!

Absolutely still do that every home game! We did in 2016 too TigerFan...perhaps the pain you felt that evening has caused your brain to shelter you from the memory! 🤪

It would be nice to play them at home for once, I can assure you that Elm St would be rockin' !!!
