  1. Oh wow! He is definitely huge then, I just looked at his 247 page and saw the 6'7 290 part
  2. It’s slowly getting to tailgate time!
  3. 6’7 290 and committed to Illinois for football
  4. Looks like MV is making a pit stop in Washington later this afternoon

  6. Give me MD in this one, think it will be close
  7. I think I’m not going to make a pick in this one, anything can happen in the confines of Enlow. All I know is that it will be one hell of a game in 37 degree weather!
  8. VL QB Coleton Pfoff has committed to Wabash!
  9. Just drove by and saw the boys practicing. FTF
  10. Looks like MV is leaving around noon ET tomorrow and bringing a crowd.
  11. I’m usually impressed with SS officiating (when I see a game). Particularly the 2018 SS with Chatard, they always took their time when it came to calls.
  12. I think a lot of us were surprised after the 2019 season. I thought we would probably just compete for a sectional title or 2 and then drop back down. Boy, I was way wrong on that
  13. Did us another solid having a basketball tournament Saturday and having multiple BB games that night too! Excited to see where their program goes these next couple of years.
  14. Sounds about right, I just vividly remember going to the gate around 40 minutes left until the game and only seeing Memorial warming up. And also seeing Bosse fans going into their gym and hearing one of the teams were still using one of the locker rooms. Thank you, hope my Tigers come out strong tomorrow in front of a packed crowd!
  15. What is everyone in the North thinking about this game?
  16. I believe they showed up around an hour before game time, but couldn't use the locker rooms until 30 minutes before the game, since Bosse was finishing up a basketball game.
  17. Season Totals- Mt Vernon (12-1, 7-0 HHC) Offense: Passing: 200 YPG CP% 0.69 Rushing: 238 YPG 8.6 YPC Total: 438 YPG/ 49 PPG Defense (Connersville game not included): Passing (allowed): 92 YPG Rushing (allowed): 184 YPG Total: 276 YPG/ 18.5 YPG Regional Recap: How about them Marauders from Fortville? With the #1, 4A favorite, defending champion Roncalli coming into town, you know the Marauders were fired up. As this was their 3rd straight regional matchup since 2019. And of course, these Marauders wanted revenge from last year's 35-14 loss to Roncalli. In the First half, Roncalli jumped out to a quick 7-0 after a mid shuffle pass interception from MV at mid. However, MV would respond with 17 unanswered points until a late TD by Roncalli making the game, 17-14 at the half. In the 2nd half, the MV scored another 10 straight points to make it 27-14 in the 4Q. But Roncalli did respond with a really quick TD to make it 27-21, but MV had the ball left with 3 minutes left and Roncalli had no more timeouts. After wasting some time on the clock and having some clock issues, MV would put it with 15 seconds left, which opened the door for Roncalli. But that MV D took care of business and their Hail Mary pass was patted down. MV wins its 27-21 and wins their 2nd ever regional championship. But with a familiar team around the corner in the Final Four, the Marauders are going to remember and hold on their 28-3 beat down by Evansville Memorial in 2019. And hope that they can change that this Friday. Offensively, MV put up a whopping 380 total yards against a really good Roncalli Defense. QB Slunaker threw for 149 yards, even though he had 3 interceptions, some of his passes were game changers in the game. Rushing wise, the Marauders put up 234 rushing yards behind RB Labelle (71 yards 4.2 YPC 1 TD) and TE/DB Burhenn (115 yards 23.5 YPC) Defensively, MV shut down Roncalli QB Leffler in passing and only allowing him to have 81 rushing yards and a TD. And keeping Roncalli to just 205 rushing yards, while Labelle and Hiner lead the team in Tackles.
  18. They’ve got a pretty good football team right now and one extremely hot one too (12 game winning streak). Just beat the #1 team last week against Roncalli and MV will put up points due to their high/dynamic offense (436 total YPG) and averaging around 49 PPG. It appears they have a few guys from their 2019 squad still on their team, like their starting QB and RB. Should be an really good game in a packed Enlow, better get your tickets quick!
  19. Indy star article: Mt. Vernon (12-1) at Evansville Memorial (11-2) The last time Mt. Vernon made this trip, in the 2019 semistate, it did not go very well. The Marauders lost 28-3 to Evansville Memorial, which went on to win its second state title in three seasons. This fourth-ranked Mt. Vernon team, coming off a 27-21 win over top-ranked and defending champion Roncalli, should have plenty of confidence and have veterans with seniors Gehrig Slunaker (69% passer, 2,579 yards, 30 TDs), Keagan LaBelle (1,370 rushing yards, 21 TDs) and Ashden Gentry (1,027 rushing yards, 11 TDs). No. 8 Evansville Memorial knocked off No. 5 East Central 17-14 last week, rallying from a 14-0 deficit to win on a last-second field goal. Aiden Farmer leads the Memorial defense with 13 sacks. The Marauders are looking for their first state finals appearance. Mt. Vernon 26, Evansville Memorial 23.
  20. You better be at Enlow at 12 on Friday!
  21. Is the 1-point safety rule even in High School football? I know it’s rare in College and the NFL
  22. The team that scores the most points will win
