  2. As in attendance in that game, we didn't play well at all in the first half, but stopped them scoring in 2nd half. Overall our offense was struggling to move down the chains for most of the game, up until a late score in the 4Q tying the game. The defense gave up a 70 yard TD(PAT was blocked) in the first 2 minutes of the game, which really hurt us. But our defense did stepped up in the 2nd half keeping them from scoring. I believe we sacked their QB around 4 times, and almost had an pick 6 before we fumbled it in Central's 20 yard line. We did have a starting LB who was out and a few others. Central ended up being the better team that night, which I can respect it. It will be an interesting rematch in the sectional final game, as my tigers are planning their revenge! Good luck to everyone in the state finals!
  3. My picks: Central wins it close against North, 29-23 Bosse fights it out against Harrison, 27-21 Mater Dei wins it against Reitz soundly, 35-7 Memorial over Castle, 28-13 Memorial and Central will split the SIAC title, and await their rematch in the Sectional Final.
  4. A Memorial Vs Central rematch will be a huge fight at Enlow. Will the Tigers be victorious? Or meet their same fate with the Bears?
  5. Time to figure out what to do on the 25th My picks Memorial over the By week by at least 80 points Boonville over Harrison around 2-3 scores I'm going to go with Jasper over Northview, but I do believe it will be a close one Central over Reitz, running clock
  6. With the SIAC all busted up. The race for the title becomes crazier: If Memorial loses against Castle and if Central wins against North, Central will win it outright. if Memorial wins and Central loses, Memorial will win it outright If Memorial and Central win their games, the will split it Now if both lose their games, then a 5 way tie for the title will be between Memorial, Central, North, Castle and Mater Dei
  7. And we are finally here, the last week of the regular season: Evansville Central (6-2) at Evansville North (5-3) GAME TIME: 7 pm CT, Bundrant Stadium. SERIES LAST 35 YEARS: Castle, 22-13 LAST MEETING: Memorial, 39-7, Oct. 12, 2018. jh PREDICTION: Memorial, 24-21. It has been a crazy year for conference, as there is a possibly of a 5 way team tie if everything goes as plan.
  8. Wait for it....... North wins on the 2 point conversion, 36-35, Castle SIAC hope has shivered up by a lot. Memorial and Central are now the Frontrunners to either share it or split it.
  9. Scores: 42-6, Memorial, did what I excepted them to score. Castle VS Memorial, should be a good one 19-14, Reitz, it was close one 10-7, Mater Dei, Mater Dei keeps Memorial's and Castle's SIAC title hopes with Central alive Castle 35 North 28 in the OT, still no winner
  10. Easily Castle, 49-7 Mater Dei wins it ugly, 33-19 I like North, Coach P is doing a fantastic job with the program, they end their losing streak against Reitz, 35-24 The big game to determine the SIAC. One of the best games that will happen in the Area. Memorial VS Central. What Central needs to do win the game: Central needs to use all of their weapons if they want to overcome Memorial's Defense. Central's O-line needs to figure away to get stop Memorial's Defense, to let the Evans Brothers and Schutte loose. I've heard the O-line isn't as big as last years, but heard they are pretty physical. Though Memorial is down one key starter, Central, I would not have a moment of relief, as several other key players are still out there. Plus, I have been hearing that Memorial has, lets just say, changed up a position or 2 on their line. Defensively for Central, I would say try to contain Pence and his 4/6 targets he throws too, even though Memorial's Offense isn't like it was last year, they will still do some damage when the breakout. Central's D-line and LB needs to be able to move fast and locate their target or else it will be too late for them to get to. There are still plenty of good WR's on Memorial, which will be hard to contain if they get loose. What Memorial needs to do win the game: The defense needs to contain Central's offensive weapons and Turner, their QB. Memorial's D-line and LB corp needs to penetrate their O line and QB rush before he has anytime to throw or pass. They need to make him unconformable in the pocket. Memorial's corners need to be aware of Central's WR, including Evans and Stewards. Don't overlook Central, Memorial's D-line, they may have lost a lot of their Key starters but they will fight to the bitter end. Though the offense hasn't been the best all season, Memorial still has shone some lit when they are needed the most. Memorial needs to stop dropping passes in the endzone, since they are making games too close to confront. Memorial's O-line needs to give enough time for Pence to either throw it, gave it to McCool or Russel, or scramble to get more yards. They also need to make sure to have no cracks or else Pence will be rushed and most likely be stacked. Some questions for the game: Will Central's O-line be able to keep with an offense like Memorials? Will they be able to contain Combs? Can Memorial expose Central's D-line which has been DOMINANT the last few games? Will it be blowout?(Might be a dumb question, but could happen) Can Central's D line contain Memorial's weapons? Can Memorial's Dline STOP the Central's run game and passing game? How good will the soups be at the Memorial's tailgate tomorrow? Will the game end up in OT? It could be a low scoring game(2016 game) or a high scoring game(2018)?

Big game for Central(5-1) and Memorial(6-0) as the SIAC Title is on the line and the potential section matchup too. Don't count out Castle, they are a contender.
  12. Our LB will be out for next game, but I do believe Combs will be playing next week
  13. Week 6 scores: Memorial over Reitz, 27-7, offense clicked in the 1st half for Memorial, but still had a couple of dropped passes in the endzone Castle over Mater Dei, 13-0, now that is surprising Central over Harrison, 45-12 North over Bosse, 34-20, Heard Bosse lead for half of the game
  14. Week 5 takeaways: -Central makes a statement for contending with Memorial for the SIAC over a BIG win over Castle -Reitz shows an offensive show over Harrison, as they prepare for a big matchup with Memorial on Friday -Mater Dei pulls away with an offensive battle with North. Mater Dei VS Castle will be a great game Friday -Memorial's defense begins to shine, while Memorial's offense continues to struggle over a close victory against Bosse( props to Bosse being an competitor on Friday). Also, Memorial's sophomore group scored all 24 points Friday night.

The Tigers remain undefeated after an defensive battles against Mater Dei. Central came up big and blanked Reitz, making a statement.
  18. Let me get: North, 35-13 Memorial, 40-19 Central, 45-24 Castle, uhhhhh, 50-7
  19. The Memorial and Mater Dei game will be interesting too see. I know we had a few mental errors with our Defense last night and that fumble recovery touchdown. We did have a few holes in our DL when McKinney ran his 3 60+ yards touchdowns. I wouldn't count our defense out just yet, they still dominated when we needed them.
  20. My power rankings: 1. Memorial(3-0) Too long of a game, but Memorial still pulls off a victory over North. There were a lot of bad errors and throughout the game for Memorial, but also did well enough to keep control of the game after taking the lead before half time. The offense can score if they have too, Pence is great at QB, he has multiple targets to throw too. The defense, on the other hand, missed a few tackles and bad wide openings. Though they did mess up quite a bit, they did have a lot of dominance throughout. Overall, the game was a lot closer than I would have thought, but the message is clear, the Huskies are legit. 2. Mater Dei(3-0) Nothing much to say about Mater Dei, they have been killing it the last 3 games. Next week will be the big one! 3. Central(2-1) Nothing much to say either, it will be an interesting week against Reitz 4. North(1-2) North, I owe an apology, I doubted you guys will score on our varsity, but man! You guys are legit! McKinney is a pretty fast kid also and had good vision when he dropped those 70 and 40 yard touchdowns on us. I was not expecting that outcome of the game last night. You guys are very improved, but still got a little ways to go. Hopefully you guys do well for the remainder of the season! 5. Castle(2-1) I didn't know much about this game, but I heard it was a showdown. 6. Reitz(1-2) Wow, did not expect you guys being this low. I have heard the football team isn't as good this year. Hopefully it can be solved quickly, because you have a big one coming up. 7. Bosse(1-2) 8. Harrison(0-3)
