  1. Depends on personnel..get as many playmakers on the field as possible. Of everything is copacatic..l favor 4-3 D with a wing T or wishbone O for high school...I know spread offenses create havoc yet Indiana weather creates worry..also if defenses hold true.. option attacks don't work if the opponent has BFS athletes and vice versa ala WC circa 03-06.. ahh keyboard coaching!😉

Looks like we have a lot of massively overbuilt high school football facilities at a huge an unnecessary cost to state taxpayers

I hear the ones in Texas are top flight..build it and they will come..i don't mind giving tax money to see our youth have a little fun in a nice atmosphere.  Downtrodden facilities may deter numbers and we do not want that "C" word to happen!

I don’t see Luers coming out of the north in 2A.

Having seen luers play..they might make a run if everyone is healthy..2019 will be a year that questions logic..im still nervous to bet against a mic 6a champ although if it were to happen this would be the year..luers does not play any 2a schools until post season..if they can replicate teams from the past is tbd..

  4. Dwenger this friday..a true rivalry game. Two programs with a rich tradition that has created some of the best games in northern ind over the past decade. So many games have featured monumental comebacks..Last year these two fought until the end and I am sure both will use this as a gr8 measuring stick b4 postseason play. No bell, only bragging rights..doesnt matter. This could be another epic n hard hitting game..hope both stay healthy.

Jeff will hang 45 on them and call it a night. Highest scoring 6a team by 14 points. And yes I know their schedule isn’t as tough as a lot of 6a but their starters haven’t played a second past halftime in the last 3 games.

Good to see Jeff doing well. They still run a spread.? Vaguely remember Dustin Keller n Valhrageorge (sp) leading the state in passing/receiving while lighting up scoreboards..

So, I'm looking at past players and their playing time at their respected college choices. I'm concentrating on FBS schools will also add on FBS that I know of.

Hippenhammer @ PSU - not seeing much action, anyone know what status is?

France @ WMU - don't even see on roster, is he still there?

Johnson @ Purdue - getting some playing time, hope to see him get more

Stiebeling @ EMU - geting a few reps, behind Glass who is senior, hope he gets chance next year

That is all I know of in FBS, anyone have more players at the level?

    FCS;

Haupert @ ISU - see he is listed as RB on roster??

Woods @ Marian - not sure how he is doing.

    Any additions by anyone??

    S

Seen mac make a few plays for psu..they seem to only use him in certain packages..he could play more during their next big game. Not sure about dellinger (sp)..went to army or navy n might have transferred.

I think it might have something to do with the retirement of Doug Mitchell (NC basketball coach).  For years, NC was a basketball school and it was pretty well publicized he did not prefer his basketball players play another sport.

Not discrediting O'Shea at all as I think he is an amazing coach, but I do not think it is a coincidence that both the football and track programs took off once Mitchell retired.

When did Mitchell retire? Early 2000's? I think NC won a few track titles around then.

  8. I must admit I was shocked by the wayne score. I guess I believed their discipline and scheme would match the talent pool this year. I could be mistaken..it seems emerging players have been getting playing time at the end of the homestead game moving forward. It also seems as if they didn't have their sea (varsity) legs yet. With a daunting sectional this year I am hoping a few "heavy" hitters step up to the plate.
